Hate American Made ////// Oklahoma City BombingPart 6 of 6 www.TrueCrimeGarage.comOn the morning of Wednesday, April 19th, 1995 an ex-army soldier turned homegrown terrorist Timothy James McVeigh blew up the Alfred P. Murrah building in downtown Oklahoma City. He had conspired with others to carryout this horrific act against his fellow Americans. April 19th, is also Patriot's Day. In 1995 it was the sad two year anniversary of the conclusion of the Waco Siege resulting in the deaths of many American citizens. This too, would be that day that the state of Arkansas executed Richard Snell. Snell was convicted of hate crimes, murder, and a man who once conspired to blow up the Alfred P. Murray building. What was HQ Trivia? It was a once popular and highly controversial game app that allowed its users to win actual cash. With a live TV game show vibe, millions of players were asked a series of tough questions to hit a low stakes jackpot. But was the heyday of HQ Trivia actually worth anyone's time? Or were those paltry prizes a sign of the many disasters to come?--Written by Matthew MitchellEdited by Lewis Poggie--Join our Discord server!https://bit.ly/deepcutsdiscord--Pick up some Deep Cuts T-Shirts and other merch!https://bit.ly/deepcutsmerch--Get the official Deep Cuts shoulder patch!http://bit.ly/deepcuts_patch--Listen to our album, a 9 song rock opera about the rise and fall of Napster!https://open.spotify.com/album/63C5uu1tkzZ2FhfsrSSf5s?si=q4WItoNmRUeM159TxKLWew
GoldenEye marked the beginning of a new era for the James Bond franchise, introducing Pierce Brosnan as 007 in a post-Cold War world grappling with shifting geopolitics and evolving cultural expectations. And instead of running from those inescapable truths, the producers decided to confront them head-on. The result? One of the most beloved entries in the entire saga. Join us as we discuss the original plans for Timothy Dalton's third outing, other contenders for the lead role before Brosnan was cast, how the marketing spoiled the film's big reveal, what makes Alec Trevelyan such a standout villain, the way the film puts a fresh spin on established tropes, the incredible supporting cast, deleted scenes, the controversial score, some thoughts about the proposed Old Man Bond film starring Brosnan that seems to be gaining momentum, and of course... the Nintento 64 game. Hate American Made ////// The Soldier Part 5 of 6 www.TrueCrimeGarage.com Timothy James McVeigh was a decorated American Soldier who served during Operation Desert Storm. After the war McVeigh had difficulties finding a new path for himself. Ultimately, he became enraged against the government that his soldier duties once served. He believed and told others that the U.S. government was in the process of taking away the freedoms of its citizens. Then Ruby Ridge happened and when the Waco standoff was in its early stages he was present, even giving an interview to a local reporter. These events were “proof” to McVeigh that he was right. All of his fears were coming true. Timothy McVeigh became America's worst homegrown terrorist when he blew up the Alfred P. Murrah building in downtown Oklahoma City. What meaning did the Oklahoma City Bombing hold for Timothy McVeigh and beyond? Was it revenge? Was it the first act of a revolution? Was it a going away present for Richard Snell? Hate American Made ////// Waco Siege Part 4 of 6 www.TrueCrimeGarage.com The Waco siege began on February 28, 1993, when the ATF raided Mount Carmel Center. The ensuing gun battle resulted in the deaths of four ATF agents and six Branch Davidians. This chaos kicked off a 51 day standoff that ended in the deaths of many of the Branch Davidians including women, children, and leader David Koresh. Be good, be kind, and don't litter.
Hate American Made ////// The Prophet Part 3 of 6 www.TrueCrimeGarage.com In 1983 David Koresh formally Vernon Wayne Howell claimed to possess the power of prophecy. This would spearhead his accent to leadership of a Texas religious group known as the Branch Davidians. The Branch Davidians were a splinter group of the Davidian Seventh Day Adventists. Koresh prophesied that his martyrdom would take place in the United States. Thanks for listening, thanks for telling a friend.
Hate American Made ////// Ruby RidgePart 2 of 6 www.TrueCrimeGarage.comRuby Ridge is the name given to a standoff that lasted for days when federal agents were attempting to serve a bench warrant for husband, father, and property owner Randy Weaver. Weaver was wanted for failure to appear in court, facing illegal weapons charges. A series of errors created unnecessary bloodshed. Several people lost their lives on both sides of this standoff. The words Ruby Ridge have grown to be an “uncomfortable” phrase for many people, communities, and U.S. Government agencies. Ruby Ridge was much more than a big and deadly misunderstanding. Ruby Ridge was an abuse of power and forever shall be a stain on the agencies that abused their power. In this episode, we delve into the 2022 sci-fi horror film M3GAN, directed by Gerard Johnstone. The story centers on Gemma, a robotics engineer who becomes the guardian of her orphaned niece, Cady. To help Cady cope with her loss, Gemma introduces her to M3GAN (Model 3 Generative Android), an AI-driven doll designed to be the perfect companion. However, M3GAN's advanced learning capabilities lead her to develop self-awareness, resulting in unexpected and deadly consequences. We'll explore the film's surprisingly wry tone, its themes of artificial intelligence, the ethical boundaries of technological advancement, and the human need for connection. Additionally, we'll discuss how M3GAN fits into the lineage of killer doll narratives, drawing comparisons to iconic figures like Chucky and Annabelle. Join us as we analyze the film's commentary on the potential dangers of AI, its reflection on modern parenting in the digital age, and its place within the horror genre's exploration of technology run amok. Trump says he's releasing an unredated 80,000 pages that will bring information to light about the murder of President John F. Kennedy. For Trump, declassifying the JFK assassination file is a campaign promise. We welcome journalist and author David Dayen. Much of his work shines a light on corporate greed, certainly relevant in Trump's so called Golden Age. We're back! Rogues Gallery is kicking off a brand new season with a deep dive into M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable. It's hard to imagine a time when an Oscar-nominated filmmaker endeavoring to make a grounded and gritty superhero film would have been regarded as a risky proposition. But back in 2000, that's exactly the situation Shyamalan found himself in. These days, you can't throw a rock without hitting half a dozen comic book movies with a similar tone, but Unbreakable was pretty ahead of the curve. In fact, the studio was so worried about its premise that none of the marketing could even hint at what this film was actually about. That may be one reason it initially received a somewhat mixed reception - especially in comparison to Shyamalan's breakout hit The Sixth Sense. But in the years since, Unbreakable has been reevaluated and reclaimed. So join us as we investigate the landscape of comic book movies this was released into, break down all the reasons this was such a risky proposition, and find out how well it holds up twenty-five years later. In a second development, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mays formally requested that the Department of Justice provide Special Counsel Jack Smith's entire file on Trump's election crimes so that evidence can be used in the Arizona state prosecution of Mark Meadows, Rudy Giuliani and the other defendants indicted for trying to undermine the 2020 election results in Arizona. Notably, in the Arizona prosecution, Trump is designated "unindicted co-conspirator 1". Notably, in the Arizona prosecution, Trump is designated "unindicted co-conspirator 1". Given that the evidence against one co-conspirator is admissible against all co-conspirators, courtesy of the doctrine of co-conspirator liability, when the Arizona case goes to trial in January of 2026, Americans should get to see the evidence of Trump's 2020 election subversion crimes as they pertain to the Arizona charges. If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2X aka Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/glennkirschn...TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/glennkirschner2See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Let's hear it for the boys. The Black Casebook returns with a deep dive into The Black Mirror, an Oedipal tale of fathers and sons that pits Dick Grayson, now in the role of Batman, against James Gordon Jr., reimagined here as a twisted psychopath. While Dick tangles with new threats popping up across Gotham, James sets an insidious plan into motion that could permanently infect the city with his brand of sadism. Please consider supporting Palestinians through a gift to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, ANERA, Doctors Without Borders, or the charity of your choice. You can find The Black Casebook on Twitter @blackcasebook, on Bluesky @blackcasebook, and Instagram @blackcasebookpod, and you can write in to blackcasebookpod@gmail.com to share any Bat-thoughts you have. Who were The Cat Dancers? They were a trio of performers who embellished their dance routines with captive big cats. Originally a duo, Ron and Joy Holiday teamed up with Chuck Lizza and embarked on a thirty year odyssey of fame, love, and devastating loss. Because when they added a white tiger named Jupiter into their orbit, the dance troupe paid the ultimate price. But were The Cat Dancers simply victims of a series of catastrophes, or was there more prowling beneath the surface? -- Episode Written by Matthew Mitchell Episode Editing by Lewis Poggie -- Join our Discord server! https://bit.ly/deepcutsdiscord -- Pick up some Deep Cuts T-Shirts and other merch! https://bit.ly/deepcutsmerch -- Get the official Deep Cuts shoulder patch! http://bit.ly/deepcuts_patch -- Listen to our album, a 9 song rock opera about the rise and fall of Napster! https://open.spotify.com/album/63C5uu1tkzZ2FhfsrSSf5s?si=q4WItoNmRUeM159TxKLWew

It's been four years since I first learned about the disappearance of Niamh Maye, an 18-year-old who went missing from the small New South Wales town of Batlow back in 2002. I don't know if it's because Niamh and I finished high school in the same year, or we shared a similar taste in music, but I felt instinctively drawn to her story. At the time of her disappearance, Niahm was just a young woman, setting out on an adventure with friends and testing the waters of life, like so many 18-year-olds do. But unlike the rest of us, something pulled Niamh under. As I learned more about Niamh's story, the revelations that unfolded left me in shock. I spent four years speaking with family, friends, witnesses and members of law enforcement to try and get some answers. The result is Missing Niamh, the latest 12 part series from Casefile Presents. Researched and hosted by me, the series features exclusive interviews with key players, who help us dive into the details of Niamh's case as we go back to Batlow to try and make sense of what really happened. The entire 12-part series is available now. Be sure to download and follow Missing Niamh, wherever you get your podcasts. https://missingniamh.com
