“But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!” (Isaiah 54:17 NLT) In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus makes a fascinating statement that some have misunderstood. Speaking of believers, He says, “They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed” (Mark 16:18 NLT). Some Christians have taken the Lord’s words literally and incorporated snake-handling into their services. But that’s not trusting the Lord; that’s testing the Lord, something believers aren’t supposed to do (see Deuteronomy 6:16; Matthew 4:7). Here’s what Jesus’ words in Mark 16 do mean: If you’re a Christian, then you’re indestructible until God is done with you. There is a day appointed for your death. And you have no say in when that day will come. Until that day, however, you can approach life with boldness and confidence. (That’s not to say that you should be reckless, however—see Jesus’ words in Matthew 4:7 again.) That’s certainly what God’s Word encourages you to do. Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you” (NLT). The psalmist wrote, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble” (Psalm 46:1 NLT). And the apostle Paul wrote, “But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NLT). He wrote from experience. Paul survived a shipwreck and found himself on an island. While warming himself by a fire in this environment, he was bitten by a venomous snake. Paul calmly shook off the snake into the fire. The people who witnessed the incident expected Paul to die from the bite. But he didn’t because his time wasn’t up. Hebrews 9:27 says, “And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment” (NLT). Paul had not yet reached his destination. He wasn’t about to let a snakebite keep him from the Lord’s work. Likewise, there’s no need for you to worry on your Christian journey. That gives you the freedom to travel light, emotionally speaking. As Isaiah 54:17 says, “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken” (NLT). God will keep you and protect you in this world until He welcomes you into the next. So, be bold. Be courageous. As long as God has use for you, you’re indestructible. In his message, "Indestructible Joy," Pastor Bob draws from Philippians 1 and Ecclesiastes to explore the difference between fleeting happiness and the deep, lasting joy that comes from walking with Christ. Using Paul's example of rejoicing even from prison, he shows that true joy is not dependent on circumstances but is rooted in our relationship with Jesus. Reflecting on Ecclesiastes 3, Pastor Bob reminds us that God makes everything beautiful in its time and gives each of us a purpose in every season of life.

The Power of an Indestructible Life (Hebrews 7:11-22) by Trinity Community Church
The Thought Leader Revolution Podcast | 10X Your Impact, Your Income & Your Influence
"Your money can work harder than you can." Financial strength isn't built on how much you earn—it's built on what you keep, protect, and multiply. True financial resilience comes from simple, repeatable principles: produce value, repeat it, multiply it, and scale it. The foundation is disciplined living—spending less than you earn—and consistently putting money to work. Wealth is not created through saving alone, but through strategic investing across durable asset classes that can withstand volatility. The goal is not just growth, but indestructibility—systems and assets that continue working regardless of external conditions. Michael Santonato shares how losing over a million dollars forced him to rebuild from first principles. He emphasizes five core asset classes—precious metals, life insurance, Bitcoin, real estate, and business—as accessible paths to long-term security. Through client stories, he shows how mindset shifts—like turning home equity into income or leveraging assets strategically—can completely transform financial outcomes. Michael is a financial advisor, entrepreneur, and author of Becoming Financially Indestructible, driven by a mission to eliminate financial struggle and guide people toward lasting prosperity. Raised by parents who were bank managers, he was introduced early to the foundational principles of money—an education he later realized most people never receive. After building and losing significant wealth twice, he rebuilt using disciplined strategies and now teaches others how to protect, grow, and sustain their finances. Today, Michael works with individuals, families, and business owners across North America, helping them reduce taxes, invest strategically, leverage assets, and build resilient financial systems designed to withstand uncertainty. Expert action steps: Work with a trusted financial advisor to guide decisions and avoid costly mistakes. Make tax strategy a priority—optimize how much you keep, not just how much you earn. This episode is all about what my new concept, The Indestructible Man, is all about and, importantly, what it isn't.I recorded it before I became aware of the term "Manosphere" and watched Louis Theroux's documentary on Netflix, but the intention of the Indestructible Man is to be the antidote society needs to the Manosphere and everything it stands for - creating healthy masculinity for the 21st century. You can see the document summarising what I think an Indestructible Man is by clicking here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hvc3eaZehAwyjESn87xRAWPqh-QDNygu/view?usp=sharingIf the concept resonates with you, you can join my free Indestructible Man community, getting free digital copies of my books among other things, by clicking here: https://theindestructibleman.com/If you're ready to explore how coaching can help you solve the challenges you secretly face in life, watch a 20 minute explanation of how my new and unique system can help you by clicking here: https://theindestructibleman.com/coaching
In this week's double portion, Vayakhel-Pekude, Rabbi Joseph Dweck explores the profound concept of Nedib Leb—the "willing heart". As the Israelites begin the physical construction of the Mishkan (Tabernacle), we learn that the most essential building material isn't gold or silver, but the voluntary spirit of the people.Rabbi Dweck delves into the spiritual anatomy of the heart, contrasting the open, faithful heart of Sinai with the "sealed" heart that emerged during the crisis of the Golden Calf. By examining the teachings of the Rishonim and a powerful Midrash about the destruction of the Temple, he reveals how the "core self" of the Jewish person remains fundamentally connected to a desire for relationship with God, even in times of fear and uncertainty.Rabbi Dweck has held rabbinic leadership roles in the US and the UK. He is the Rosh Bet Midrash of TheHabura.com and the Rabbi Levy Chair of Jewish Wisdom at the London School of Jewish Studies. For more, check out rabbijosephdweck.com.Instagram: https://instagram.com/rabbidweckTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rabbidweckYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/c/RabbiJosephDweck

The iconic folk duo met at an audition for the only country music band at a prestigious jazz school in Boston. They immediately clicked, and joined the rich lineage of Americana artists that stretches back centuries. In their 20s, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings discovered they had something special when they sang together, a sort of eerie emotional resonance that is usually confined to the blood harmonies produced when siblings sing together.Ever since they've been making music together which draws on the bluegrass, country and folk traditions they love.In their historic recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee (which has withstood three tornadoes in the last century), they craft haunting songs about the ugly and beautiful parts of humanity. For Gill and Dave, the DNA of folk music is something we can all contribute to, and which contributes to all of us.Gillian Welch and David Rawlings are currently touring Australia's eastern states. This episode details the development of sustainable floating homes called ArkPads, which are currently being manufactured and tested in the Philippines. These structures utilize corrosion-resistant materials and semi-submersible designs to ensure they remain stable and durable during severe weather events. The project aims to transition from individual residences to profitable floating resorts that utilize solar energy and aquaculture to achieve self-sufficiency. By proving the economic viability of these resorts through tourism, the creators plan to scale up to large-scale floating cities located in international waters. This gradual expansion relies on strategic geographic placement to avoid dangerous currents and storms while bypassing expensive coastal land costs.#ArkPads #FloatingHomes #ArkPadsPhilippines #SustainableFloatingHomes #FloatingResorts #SustainableLiving #SelfSufficientLiving #SolarPowered #Aquaculture #EcoFriendlyResorts #GreenArchitecture #ClimateResilient #FutureOfHousing http://atlantisseacolony.com/https://www.patreon.com/atlantisseacolonyhttps://discord.gg/jp5aSSkfNS

Today on Too Opinionated, we sit down with Author Rose Barroso! Rose Barroso has built an empire in two of the most male-dominated industries in the world—luxury real estate and custom home construction. Now, she's breaking new ground as an author with her powerful debut memoir, Indestructible: Transforming Survival into Success, releasing January 2026 through Sutherland House Experts. Born in Portugal and raised in Toronto, Barroso's story is not one of privilege or easy breaks. Abandoned by those meant to protect her and raised in a shattered family, she learned early that survival meant building walls around her heart, around her dreams, around her very sense of self. But walls couldn't silence the echoes of self-doubt, fear, and rage that lingered long after the bruises faded. Indestructible rips the mask off a life built in defiance of deep trauma. With raw vulnerability and unapologetic strength, Barroso exposes the hidden scars of her childhood and reveals how pain shaped her, tested her, and ultimately forged her into a tenacious woman who conquered her inner demons—and the boardroom. This is more than a memoir. It's a battle cry for anyone who's ever been told they would amount to nothing. It's a roadmap for women in spaces where they're underestimated, overlooked, and undervalued. And its proof that healing doesn't make you soft; it makes you unstoppable. When people in the West were faced with the atrocities of World War II, the culture's prevailing optimistic views of human nature were devastated. Two questions kept coming up: what's wrong with us that we're capable of this, and what are we going to do about it? Isaiah 52 to 53 was written to answer those same two questions. It was written to a nation facing exile, to people who were about to face captivity, atrocities, and prison. And it has maybe the most well-known answer in the Bible to the question about human evil: God is sending somebody, the servant of the Lord. In this passage, we learn 1) who he is, 2) why he came, and 3) what he did. This sermon was preached by Dr. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on February 28, 1999. More than a year ago, someone recommended I read the memoir called How to Stay Married by Harrison Scott Key. It reminded them, in some ways, of my memoir from 2017 about a marriage crisis, called Indestructible. It took me more than a year to hit “play” on the audible file, but by the time I started it, I also finished in a matter of a few days. The speed at which I consumed the book, however, does not necessarily reflect how I felt about the story. There are certain elements that must be present in a narrative in order for it to feel complete. I detail these in my book, Write Your Story and teach the framework in my workshops by the same name. Some of these elements were, in my honest opinion, missing from this text.
