Everyone is talking about AI with sites like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and DALL-E. What does the future hold? We may be just musicians but we started CompuBards, a musical computer repair business, because Andrew knows a lot about computers and has a curious mind. Marc knows a lot about marketing and follows trends. We're gonna share our take on artificial intelligence. Should you be excited or worried? And of course, we'll also break down our song “Jedi Mickey” and for patrons you'll hear us talk about our performance of “The Orange and The Green”. It's all on the Brobdingnagian Bards Podcast #75 THANK YOU NAGIANS! Brobdingnagian Bards are The Original Celtic Renaissance music duo. SONG LYRICS Jedi Mickey by Marc Gunn and Andrew McKee A long time ago, a tugboat faraway. Mickey whistled out a tune while bouncing away He turned color after one too many drinks Then called up Lucas saying, “Haha! Dude... your writing stinks!” When Mickey sobered up, he called the board to plan, "I've had a vision, a lightsaber in my hand We'll make Star Wars as we wish upon a star And will do it far better with a story by Pixar. Haha!" [to the tune When you Wish upon a Star] When the mouse wants your franchise He'll start off licensing for rides. If you're tired and you need some cash He'll buy from you...... One part mouse and one part duck One part Jedi and formulaic luck A Wookie on my right and a Goofy one on my left Merging these two companies... is the big test There's a star destroyer shaped like a mushroom house The Beagle boys stand before a Sith Lord mouse While far away a Jedi Mouse stares into space The three moons of Tatooine replaced... by Mickey's face Mickey meets Minnie. The force is strong with her. He lays a kiss on her, and the fans all hurl Minnie is his sister and that folks is a shame Our love for those mice will never... be the same Mickey stabs the Sith. The dark mouse disappears Wherever there's one Sith Lord, another will appear A duck steps forward with a cloak as black as ink With Jedi mice and ducks, I'll need... a stronger drink.

Andrew will teach you how to say our band name. "How to Say Brobdingnagian" from our website Next up is our parody of the Barenaked Ladies song, "If I Had $1000000". 13:44 - "If I Had A Million Ducats" from A Faire to Remember 17:01 - "The Ring of Hope" from Memories of Middle Earth 21:18 - "Jedi Drinking Song" from Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales If you enjoy any of our music, then we have CDs. If you go to our website at thebards.net, you will find a link to "Buy Music". That'll take you to our store on Bandcamp. Pubs are often dark places. I'm sure dark things have been discussed. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't feel they are any darker than what we find on social media. I don't like social media. It brings out the worst in people. It makes the world a more vile place than it actually is. And so I avoid it, like the plague. Fair comparison. That's one of the big reasons I changed things up this year. But before we get to this year, let's talk about last and the many things happening in the pub. In this show, you will hear some of my picks of the best Celtic bands of 2018. You'll enjoy new music from the Brobdingnagian Bards to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Learn about the new Song Request feature of Coffee with The Celtfather. Understand my new mission statement for the podcast. And then we will chat about how the pain of engaging on social media outweighs its use and why I moved to YouTube. Finally, I launch a new feedback section today. So I need your feedback.
