Suppose you've ever wanted to get your hands on a G36, or at least something that almost perfectly clones a G36. In that case, you'll be interested to hear that Bo and his team over at S5 Tactical are carrying the torch for fans of one of H&K's most popular unobtainium rifles. S5 Tactical is a firearms manufacturer that produces G36-style receivers under the product name SG-36. While this isn't really anything new, the receivers previously sold by another company, DEF, are now being made with the years of injection molding expertise that Bo and his team have to offer. Today, Bo and I will talk about anything and everything G36, as well as his thoughts on what the future of more H&K clones like the currently offered SG-36, and "SMP Rifle" (UMP Rifle Clone) might look like.  S5 Tactical Website S5 Tactical Facebook Page S5 Tactical Instagram Page

Double Tap Episode 422 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Die Free Co., XTech Tactical, Night Fision, Blue Alpha, Rost Martin, Swampfox Optics and Bowers Group   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 422! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! Winner of the cigar pack is Fucking Bill. - Dear WLS Kilo Meter - If I see a gun in Dealbro should I take that as an endorsement that it is good? Also, should I assume all those sites are good to go? Juan Ench-Johnson - "If yall were to go back in time and purchase your first gun again, what would you do differently. Personally my first purchase was a Kimber and I was back and forth between that and an HK P30L. I had issues with the Kimber and would probably still have the HK today if I had made that choice initially. Is there anything yall would change?" Mark B - I'm looking to purchase a Browning Hi Power clone in 9mm. A real Hi Power would be nice, but they are expensive for nice ones or are rough surplus models. Leaning toward the Springfield SA-35, but I know there are cheaper Turkish made clones. Do you have any experience with or a recommendation for a Hi Power clone? Alex W - Hey, y'all. I've seen videos of people shooting through their front door from the inside when someone is trying to break it down to force entry into the house. What are your thoughts on this? And I'm not talking about someone standing there knocking aggressively. I mean, if they're actually trying to break the door open. Would you go ahead and shoot? Or would you hold fire until they actually forced the door open? Jason S - I got a Riley defense rak308. My 1st time shooting it i was using winchester white box m80 7.62x51 and i was getting popped primers and and buldged primers. Riley defense said it was from using 7.62x51 and not 308. i didn't have any other ammo and haven't had a chance to shoot 308 ammo yet. I put a hyperfire trigger hammer and hammer spring in it. I'm just wondering if it's the ammo or something with the rifle? Joe J - What is a good flashlight that won't come on in my pocket? I anm getting tire on the end cap button getting pushed and running my battery dead. If y'all ever come to SD, hmu. Readem Anweep - I recently purchased Sixguns by Elmer Keith after discussing shooting text in the Cult Discord chat. This reprint of the 1955 "Standard Reference Work" came to me in hard back, smelling of my old college textbooks and filled with pictures to help those who cannot yet read. This book has been fantastic to read through and made me wonder what physical media the cast recommends to have in your Library of End Times? I will keep this to firearm related as we all know a shelf full of Dungeon Crawler Carl and Tom Stranger will keep many cold nights warm. But what would the cast of WLS suggest to create a firearm library before all the yootoob influencers tell us the SIG p320 is the best gun of all time. #WLSISLIFE   The winner of this week's swag pack is Joe J! Our next film should, by all rights, be one of the greatest all-time Westerns even made. Instead, it's a mealy-mouthed, boring, limp noodle of a movie that's stuck trying too hard to be a Big Deal instead of being the allegory for McCarthyism it was written to be. Fred Zinneman has shots for days, but he can't get convincing performances from his actors, and nobody in the cast can convincingly portray the real tension of this movie. Sure, it makes sense why this resonates today. But overall it's a real slog to sit through. Watch the clocks as we watch 1952's High Noon on Have a Good Movie! CONTENT WARNING: Discussion of racism against Natives, bullying, animal cruelty. Grab your six shooters and your saddles, we're kicking off our first-ever Westerns series! There's a lot in the genre for us to catch up on, and we start this week with a seminal film, one whose importance is unfortunately the only thing it's really got going for it. John Ford practically created the Western as we know making this movie but the dialogue and the characters are so rigid that it's somehow boring for a 90-minute movie. Still, if you've ever rolled your eyes at John Wayne and wondered "how the hell did he get to be a movie star", look no further than his performance here, smoldering and intense while staying relatable. The cast is pretty great, and the stunts are on par with anything that can be done with wires today. Still, this one is more "important" than a fun hang, so proceed with caution. Load up the wagon as we watch 1939's Stagecoach on Have a Good Movie! You can email us with feedback at macintoshandmaud@gmail.com, or you can connect with us on BlueSky! CONTENT WARNING: Discussion of sexual abuse of minors by clergy. While no explicit mentions are made of actions or abuse, listener discretion is advised. This one has been on our must watch list since it came out, and somehow it lingered for 10 years. In fact, you might suspect we did this series just to watch this movie, and you'd be at least a little bit right. Fortunately, the film doesn't disappoint, taking the well-worn movie journalism formula and taking it in a completely different direction. This movie is all about subtlety, accuracy, and most of all, real human storytelling. There's very few frills involved and very few liberties taken, which is the perfect way to tell the story of uncovering one of the most heinous abuses of power and trust in human history. There's no hero worship and no easy answers here, just plain great storytelling. No wonder it won Best Picture. We're finish on a high note with 2015's Spotlight on Have a Good Movie! There are reports HK bankers are already informally discussing how to structure a "bad bank." Earlier today, other reports said monetary authorities in Hong Kong were circulating the "crisis letter." The situation has taken a turn for the serious, a warning to the rest of the world because what HK is trying desperately to come to grips with is the same major problem as everyone else has, where the bubbles and now busts came from in the first place. Eurodollar University's Money & Macro Analysis******https://eurodollaruniversity.substack.com/Eurodollar University's Anniversary Salehttps://www.eurodollar.university/sale******HKMA's "Crisis Letter"https://www.hkma.gov.hk/media/eng/publication-and-research/reference-materials/banking/fa03.pdfBloomberg Hong Kong Regulators Revive Crisis Playbook to Rescue Landlordshttps://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2025-07-22/hong-kong-regulators-revive-crisis-playbook-to-rescue-landlordsBloomberg Hong Kong's $25 Billion Pile of Soured Debt Spurs Talks to Form ‘Bad Bank'https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-07-16/hong-kong-s-25-billion-debt-woe-sparks-talks-on-bad-bankFitch Lower HIBOR May Not Fully Address Hong Kong Banks' Asset Quality Pressurehttps://www.fitchratings.com/research/banks/lower-hibor-may-not-fully-address-hong-kong-banks-asset-quality-pressure-19-05-2025HIBOR rateshttps://www.hkab.org.hk/en/rates/hiborhttps://www.eurodollar.universityTwitter: https://twitter.com/JeffSnider_EDU

CONTENT WARNING: occupation, assassination, Israel & Palestine. We try not to be too political on this show, but sometimes a movie forces our hand. Still, Spielberg's third labor of love isn't a mess because of its subject matter. Instead, it's a messy rush job that has little to no historical value and also fails at being an entertaining movie. Nothing about this story passes the smell test, down to the fact that it looks like a crappy action movie from 2005. We know you can do better, Steven. The best word to describe the PPV would be disappointing. HK doesn't understand the whole Long Island/New York thing & we may have turned in the worst picks in the history of the Shining Wizards. Back from the break we run down the SummerSlam matches and the return of Roman Reigns. Talk a little bit about AEW and the fall out from All In. We move onto Tony's homework from last week & give our thoughts on AWA Super Sunday Hulk Hogan challenging Nick Bockwinkel for the AWA Title, and Matt assigns the group some homework as we go back to November 1994, Clash of the Champions 29 for Vader vs Dustin Rhodes.

The star power here is off the charts, with two absolute bona fide movie stars and a perfect up and comer as our three gorgeous, fabulous, out of this world drag queens. Unfortunately the movie seems to think that ultimately we need less time with the queens and more time with a small town looking for help. CONTENT WARNING: Discussion of gaslighting, spousal abuse, spousal murder, murder, misogyny. We're getting a little spooky this week with a slow-burn cult horror classic that dares to make its female characters complex and unique and its male characters thoroughly one-dimensional. Somehow it's the men that are utterly unbelievable for a change. That said, there's a pretty great movie to be found in among the wreckage, a fact that filmmakers 30 years later were utterly and completely unable to reconcile. People in 2004 thought that making a dark, subtle allegory for the horrors of the patriarchy into live-action Looney Tunes was a good idea, and then made it. The US stock rally lost some steam Wednesday with the S&P 500 Index ending the day flat after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell told lawmakers that officials are struggling to determine the toll of tariffs on inflation. The benchmark closed the session unchanged in New York after swinging between small gains and losses, while the technology heavy Nasdaq 100 Index edged up 0.2% to log another all-time closing high. The tech benchmark reached the milestone Tuesday for the first time since February as a combination of robust fundamentals and easing geopolitical tensions boosted the appeal of the growth-focused gauge. In individual stock moves, Nvidia shares closed at an all-time high, with the leader in artificial intelligence chips extending an advance that has cemented its position as one of the most valuable companies in the world. We get reaction to the day's price action from Katy Kaminski, Chief Research Strategist at AlphaSimplex.Plus - Hong Kong's de facto central bank bought the local dollar to prop it up on Thursday, in a move to defend the city's currency peg to the greenback. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority purchased HK$9.42 billion ($1.2 billion) of local currency against the US dollar, after the exchange rate touched the weak end of the permitted 7.75-7.85 per greenback trading band. In addition to pushing the currency back into its permitted trading range, the move will also make bearish bets more costly. It does this by draining liquidity from the financial system and driving up borrowing costs. We get reaction from Garfield Reynolds, Bloomberg's MLIV Asia Team Lead. He speaks with Bloomberg's Haidi Stroud-Watts and Avril Hong.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

CONTENT WARNING: Discussion of gambling. One would think that with the steely blue eyes of Steve McQueen and the highest-stakes poker game ever concocted, we'd be cooking with fire with this next film. Instead, we get one of the most boring 100-minute movies committed to celluloid. Nearly an hour of this movie is preamble and exposition and when we finally get to the poker game we might as well have just had the Kid lose in the first few hands. There are many ways to approach a good poker movie, and this movie chooses literally none of them. Join us as we yawn through 1965's The Cincinnati Kid on Have a Good Movie! CONTENT WARNING: Discussion of death, knife fights, gunfire, murder, sexual misconduct, parental trauma, parental negliect, parental abuse. We weren't aware there was such a thing as being a method director, but this legendary film seems to have proven that's a thing. Because it's one thing to make a schlocky B-movie for teenagers about juvenile delinquents. It's another completely to try to reverse engineer that terrible movie into art for a budding movie star and enable his worst tendencies while also having an affair with his 16-year-old co-star, and his other co-star, and possibly him. This movie is a mess, which is actually being kind, because its director might be even more of a disaster. Somehow a bad movie with great acting gives us perhaps some of the greatest trivia of all time. We're deep in our angsty feels as we watch 1955's Rebel Without a Cause on Have a Good Movie! Matt is upset about it being on Youtube, while HK & Tony enjoyed the show, even if they disagree on Vikingo. We somehow end up talking about MLW War Chamber for a few minutes. Conversation turns to Money in the Bank & our PPV Picks. We talk about the matches & the results. Plus the return of R Truth. Back from the break Brundo tells us about his trip to GCW for Tournament of Survival. And Tony finds us a video of people eating cereal out of other people's mouths. We spend a few minutes talking about AEW, and realize that 4 straight hours on a Wednesday Night wasn't for us. Then it's time for a new segment, as Handsome Kevin gives us 2 in the Pink, 1 in the Stink, as we try to guess the best & worst from an HK chosen topic. We then go on to talk about last week's homework as we talk Bret Hart vs Bob Backlund from Superstars 1994. Handsome Kevin then sends us back to SummerSlam 2005 for next week's homework as we are assigned to watch Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero. A lot of laughs and a fun show. CONTENT WARNING: Discussion of murder, sex work. We've jumped ahead to 1945 to tackle the question of whether it's possible for a movie to have only one likeable character but still be compelling. The verdict - still unclear. This is a bizarre movie, down to the doctor who tries to save a dying young child trying to gain sympathy for having to drive all the way out to the house in the first place. Only one main character is likeable, and fortunately Joan Crawford is up to the task with the role. In fact, for a melodrama with more of a premise than a well-rounded plot and wildly uneven acting, Joan Crawford is the glue that holds all of this together.
