Every week - gather the mail you have been setting aside - unless it's obvious junk mail, I don't go through it - I put it in my Sunday basket area. Open up all your mail on your planning day - and sort it into piles- bills you have to pay this week, bills to pay later, errands or shopping to do, or file it where it needs to go. Next, write down everything you can think of that you need to do. Circle or highlight the items that need to get done this week. I rewrite my list into bills to pay, errands or shopping to do, tasks to get done, appointments to go to. If you have several shopping tasks, pick one time to try to do it all. Next pull out your calendar and schedule it in. Join me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/dailyjournalideas or on Instragram at www.instragram.com/daily_journal_ideas. Thanks for listening to Daily Journal Ideas. Please subscribe if you haven't already.Weekly planning - I don't go through my mail during the week. I toss it along with any ideas, shopping items I need, or misc things into my Sunday Basket (see Organize 365 website for this) and then on Sunday I go through everything, write down anything I can think of that I need to get done, bills to pay etc - then I get it all sorted and scheduled on my calendar. For the something fun entry I chose - would you rather end world hunger or world hatred?Join me over on Facebook at Daily Journal Ideas.

Thanks for listening in to Daily Journal Ideas. Every week on Sunday, I open my mail, write down a list of stuff I need to get done, appointments, errands and schedule everything on the calendar. This can take 60-90 minutes, but because I do it all on one day and don't do it during the week, in time it actually saves you time. The old saying if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail applies. For a something fun entry for the journal - Would you rather be stuck on a broken ski lift or in a broken elevator?Join me over at Facebook in the facebook group Daily Journal Ideas. I'd love to see people share their ideas with each other.
Today's Daily Journal Idea is – it’s our weekly scheduling day. This month I switched from doing it on Friday's to Sunday's because I have more time on Sunday to do it. So pull out your calendars and write down what you need to get done this week and schedule it into the calendar. Pay attention to work projects, personal projects and definitely schedule some me time.
Every day I post a daily journal idea for you to use in your journal writing. Every week, I suggest a weekly planning session to figure out the next week. I have been doing it on Friday's. Starting in October, I'm changing that up to doing my weekly planning sessions on Sundays because it's when I have time for it.Please join me in my Facebook community.
Cats loss. Bengals loss. Would you rather? And we give you the #hoophouseparlay. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Scheduling – so one of the podcasts I listened to this week suggested that weekly you do a ‘to do’ download. Similar to a thought download to empty your mind of any thoughts so you can focus on other things. The to do download says you should sit down with a couple sheets of paper and list out anything you have to do, need to do, want to do, would be spectacular to do. And keep asking what else do you need to do. Once you have emptied your mind of all the things you need to do, then you need to prioritize them. Some of them you can discard completely. Of the ones you keep, write down what obstacles there are to completing the to do. These can become steps you need to accomplish and then you with this to do list and the obstacles, you then schedule them into your calendar.
