But because Jesus rose from the dead, everything changes. “I am the resurrection and the life…” (John 11:25) His resurrection is our hope, the heart of the Gospel, and the reason we believe. On that first Easter, Jesus asked: “Why are you crying? Who are you looking for?” (John 20:15) He still asks that question today. What are you searching for? – To be understood – To have power – To find freedom – To experience peace – To be loved Through the Resurrection, Jesus offers it all: – He understands you (Hebrews 4:15) – His power lives in you (Ephesians 1:19–20) – He brings freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17) – He gives peace (John 14:27) – His love never fails (Romans 8:38–39) And when He calls you by name—just like Mary—you'll know: He is risen. The search is over.

From the Garden of Eden to the Garden of Gethsemane, this Good Friday we reflect on the cost of sin—and the depth of God's love. In Eden, sin entered the world through disobedience, bringing separation, suffering, and death. Yet even then, God promised redemption (Genesis 3:15). In Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, "Not my will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42), beginning the final steps toward the cross. He was betrayed, arrested, tried, and crucified. Around 3:00 PM, He declared: "It is finished." One man's disobedience brought judgment. One man's obedience brought salvation (Romans 5:18–19). As we remember His body and blood through Communion, we're reminded of the question God still asks “Where are you?”

As Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a donkey, He came with a clear purpose—to seek and save the lost. This Palm Sunday, we're reminded that love was always at the center of His mission. Moses is instructed to move forward toward the Red Sea, where God made a way through the impossible (Exodus 14:15-18). The overall message is that faith in God gives us the strength to move forward, knowing that with His help, we can overcome obstacles and find new paths where there seemed to be none (Isaiah 43:19).

The Israelites found themselves in a tough spot because of the false idols they worshipped, but even in their dysfunction, they still had enough faith to cry out to God for help.
