Many people have some turning point in their lives. For followers of Jesus, one of those moments is simply: ‘And then I met Jesus.' In this series, we'll hear testimonies from people in our church about how their encounter with Jesus has changed their lives. Together, we'll look at how Jesus calls ordinary people to participate in His mission. It's not about pressure or perfect answers but compassion, presence, prayer, and simple invitations. Whether you've followed Jesus for years or are still exploring faith yourself, this series is an invitation to consider how God might work through your story too. Relationship. Spiritual Conversations. Invitation. Repeat. - Rejoicing work: to share in CELEBRATING with him over those who are found Prayer: "Lord, may my heart rejoice over what you rejoice over." Discussion/Reflection Questions 1. Think about the name you wrote on the card. What is one step you can take this week to regularly pray for them? 2. What's a step you could take to invest in that relationship? 3. Is there a step you could take to engage them with spiritual conversation? 4. Is there an invitation you could extend to come to church? 5. Which of the three “works” (heart, search, or rejoicing) feels most challenging for you right now? What is one practical way to grow in that area?

Now we get to the Elevation Phase. Elevation is where the church and missions leaders begin to bring the whole church along into this new biblical awareness of what it takes to be a sending church. The leaders may be running down the track, excited about where they are going. The church members are probably still in the starting blocks, waiting for the gun to go off. Teaching is a big part of it: for the church as a whole, as well as smaller subsets. Organizationally, you are aware that new structures and roles need to be created and launched. An Annual Mission Event can empower momentum toward everyone in the church growing in understanding and involvement. Recruiting mentors and other new roles for the Barnabas Team or Care and Prayer Team for missionaries will come here. Do something to intentionally put new missionary candidates on your church's radar for future development. Lastly, but not least, build prayer for missions, for missionaries, and for a strategic focus on missions.
Tom Logue - June 1st 2025 Hypocrisy can hide in the most devoted-looking lives—how do we make sure it's not hiding in ours?As we continue our series The King & His Kingdom in Matthew 15:1–9, Jesus calls out the Pharisees not for breaking the law—but for replacing it with their preferences. It's a sobering look at how easily we trade the heart of worship for appearances, and God's commands for our own comfort. This message challenges us to examine our lives for the subtle signs of hypocrisy—and respond with humility, repentance, and trust in the One who paid the ultimate price for us.
