Ross is a Des Moines native, and after graduating from East High school in the metro, wasn't exactly sure what was next. He talks about how he found his way into the radio business and got behind the mic, which has now led him to his own show called Sports Fanatics during the 3-6 hours on KXNO in Des Moines, Iowa. We discuss plenty more of his background, some similarities of the podcast/radio fields of entertainment, we talk Iowa football and some expectations surrounding this season, and of course touch on some of our Iowa State Fair highlights, as this episode was recorded in person at the Crystal Studios on the fairgrounds.

Billy Sims is known for his many football awards earned while playing running back in college and professional football. He won the coveted Heisman Trophy in 1978 while at the University of Oklahoma. Jeff Jackson lives in Tulsa and is a serial entrepreneur who started Sports Fanatics in the 90s. Jeff and Billy came together in the 2000s to start Billy Sims BBQ.
