In this episode of “In Stride,” Sinead and Tik Maynard are joined by event riders Lindsay and Xavier Traisnel. Lindsay and Xavier Traisnel are based out of Ontario, Canada, where they own and run Windsor-Essex Equestrian Center, an elite training program that focuses on producing top horses and riders. Lindsay has been named to multiple Canadian High Performance lists and was selected to compete on the Canadian Eventing Team at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, where they won gold. Along with team gold, Lindsay was the highest-placed Canadian, earning a bronze medal with her horse "Bacyrouge." Xavier has produced young horses that eventually went on to be very successful at the 5* level or compete at the World Equestrian Games and the Olympics and has sourced horses for upper-level riders such as Will Coleman, Lauren Nicholson, and British rider Kitty King. Xavier also has a university degree from the Cadre Noir De Saumur in Business and Sports Management and has his international instructor level 3 certification. In this episode, Lindsay and Xavier discuss topics related to training horses and riders, including: • The pros and cons of learning from a traditional riding school funded by the government. • Controlling the quality of instructors and coaches by having certifications and proper riding education. • Making the transition from competing in Europe to running a farm in Canada and having a family. • Teaching kids from the beginning and helping them get their first horses. • Putting the horse first in the training and taking pressure off of competition results. Ça s'appelle La Villa 17.Emmanuel Rubin, quant à lui, a testé la toute nouvelle brasserie du chef Mohamed Cheikh à Saint-Ouen. Il a adoré les arancini merguez… A découvrir chez Meïda. Il la recommande… vu qu'elle est disponible à la livraison. Six ans après avoir été détrôné par le burger dans les habitudes des Français… Le sandwich va-t-il regagner sa place de numéro 1 ? C'est la question que se posent Laurent Mariotte et ses deux chroniqueurs du jour : Sonia Ezgulian et Emmanuel Rubin. Depuis 2 ans, la consommation des sandwichs a progressé de 11%. Ca s'explique notamment par une nouvelle image qu'arborent les boulangeries : authentiques et de qualité. Mais également avec l'ouverture de sandwicheries comme Bouillon Pigalle ou Comptoirs les Deux Magots à Paris. In this episode of “In Stride,” Sinead is joined by world class eventing grooms Erin Jarboe and Hailey Burlock. Erin Jarboe and Hailey Burlock have worked as head grooms for Will Coleman for multiple years and travel across the world caring for top horses like Off the Record and Chin Tonic HS. Erin Jarboe grew up in Athens, Georgia, where she began riding at 8 and started eventing at 15. While in high school, Erin competed on her own horse and worked as the barn manager for Dublin Downs Eventing. Erin graduated from the University of Georgia with an undergraduate degree in animal science, where she was on the UGA Eventing Team for four years and president of the team for two years. Hailey Burlock grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, and was introduced to eventing through Zoe Erichsen-Meesters. Hailey leased Zoe's former upper-level horse, Fantasia, and competed through Equine Canada's training level. Hailey graduated from the Maritime College of Forest Technology with a degree in forestry. After graduating, she worked for Canadian Olympic eventer Rob Stevenson for two years before returning to school and eventually accepting a position with Will Coleman Equestrian.
