This Atlanta sure has a lot of anime weekend, huh? I said AWA so much this weekend that it started to sound wrong and I had to doubt that I had a grasp of the English vernacular and language. One of us went to AWA and one of us had to talk about it so here it is! One of us talking about it for about forty minutes or so? Maybe thirty? Time is an illusion. Break free of the shackles of allowing time to dictate your life. Be anti-time. All thoughts and feelings about this convention are basically one person's so don't allow that to dictate your enjoyment or anything like that. If you had fun and thought that Line-mageddon of AWA was fun then you keep that energy and carry it with you. I won't hate you for it. I think you're beautiful. The time machine this week takes us to our first trip to the 90's where Pearl Jam were smack dab in their prime. This Atlanta show is famous for so many different reasons. First, it was broadcast live for free on radio stations across America where young teens and college kids had multiple tape cassettes handy. Second, parts of this show was featured on the highly popular 3-disc Dissident single at a time where boots were slowly starting to become a normal thing. Last but not least, this is the final show before the official death of Kurt Cobain. Eddie dedicates Go to him and we relive some of the news and rumors that surrounded the story of his demise. Also, lots and lots of love for Vs. here as the band was supporting the album on tour, but with Vitalogy on the horizon we get to hear some special little surprises that gave hints to what the album would eventually offer. Our Patreon donor John Farrar joins the show to discuss listening to it on the radio and swapping out cassettes!

This Atlanta, Georgia-raised duo, who use the professional tags "André 3000" and "Big Boi," are rap music's most unusual set of collaborators. While André 3000 favors outrageous outfits and listens to jazz, Big Boi remains more of the old-school style of rap megastar. Their dual personalities were showcased on Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which was actually a pair of solo records. It became one of the top-selling records of 2003, and also won them the Grammy Award for album of the year. I DO NOT OWN ANY RIGHTS TO THE MUSIC...
