In deze aflevering praten de geeks met hun gasten Sonny Kempkes en Sicco de Knecht over House of the Dragon! Hoe voelt het om weer terug te zijn in Westoros na de toch wel zure herinnering aan seizoen 8 van Game of Thrones? Wat vinden we van de beruchte time-jumps in dit seizoen? En hoe kijken we naar de politieke keuzes de spelers van het spel der tronen maken? Daarnaast hebben we het over de teams waar we voor zijn, duiken we diep de draken-lore in en spreken we over het juk van de vrouwen en vragen we ons af of dit een feministische serie is. De Terugblik: Sonny was naar de bioscoop voor Halloween Ends maar wilde al snel de zaal uitlopen. Wat een spannende horrorfilm had moeten zijn bleek eerder een romcom. Wel was heel positief over Bros een daadwerkelijke romcom waarin niet wordt gedaan alsof homo's tegen dezelfde dingen aanlopen als hetero's. Hij vond het soms pijnlijk herkenbaar. Sicco ging naar Bodies, Bodies, Bodies van Halina Reijn en was aangenaam verrast. Hij vond het heel grappig en soms een beetje Agatha Christie-achtig. Daarnaast was hij ook bezig met The White Lotus (HBO Max) om nog een plekje bij de recaps van Skip Intro te bemachtigen. Thom luisterde naar de Dungeons & Dragons podcast Dungeons & Daddies waarin vier doodnormale vaders uit onze wereld in een fantasiewereld belanden en hun zoons moeten redden. Pas op als je deze in het openbaar luistert want Thom moest soms hardop meelachen. Hij was ook begonnen aan The Peripheral de nieuwe grote scifi-serie van Amazon Prime. Het ziet er fantastisch uit en heeft een interessante premisse maar blijft helaas hangen in cliché's en slechte dialogen. Linda keek veel films de laatste tijd waaronder The Godfather trilogie (Prime). De eerste twee zijn natuurlijk hele goede en angstaanjagende films maar wat haar vooral opviel was hij wanstaltig de vrouwenrepresentatie in de hele reeks is. Ze keek ook The Wolf of Wallstreet en The Big Short: weer van die mannenfilms. Maar ze vond het wel interessant om weer te zien hoe de financiële crisis van 2008 ook alweer in elkaar stak. Tot slot was ze heel enthousiast over het nieuwe seizoen van de Ierse Netflixserie Derry Girls waar ze vorige keer al op vooruitblikte. Vooruitblik Sicco heeft zin in de nieuwe verfilming van All Quiet on the Western Front die binnenkort op Netflix verschijnt. Sonny kijkt uit naar Barbarian: blijkbaar een doodenge horrorfilm met Bill Skarsgard. Ook komt het tweede seizoen van Alice in Borderland (Netflix) (dat volgens hem echt veel beter dan Squid Game is) er binnenkort aan. Thom speelde laatst The Last of Us en is heel benieuwd naar de HBO serie die gebaseerd is op de game. Begin volgend jaar zou die uit moeten komen. Linda is benieuwd naar The Devil's Hour een nieuwe horrorserie van de hand van Steven Moffat: de maker van Sherlock en Doctor Who.
