Wednesday June 3, 2026In today's episode, Proverbs 3 teaches us what it looks like to trust God wholeheartedly and walk in wisdom every day. The chapter contains one of the Bible's most beloved promises: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Solomon reminds us that wisdom begins when we surrender our need to control everything and choose to acknowledge God in all our ways.

By Doug Harrison - Our trials and tribulations in life can be difficult, and can cause us to be separated from God. In this message, let's take the time to see how we can better return to God with our whole heart.
This Sunday's Inspirational Message is: Waiting On God With Whole Heart! Today we're opening up Psalm 25, and I want to tell you right up front — this is one of those passages that feels like it was written yesterday. David wrote this psalm at a time when he was surrounded by enemies, weighed down by his own sin, and genuinely unsure which way to turn. And yet, instead of running away from God, he ran toward Him. He lifted his soul up like an open hand and said, "Lord, I'm trusting You. Teach me. Lead me. Forgive me." Sound familiar? It should. Because most of us are living in that same tension right now. In today's message — "Waiting on God with Whole Heart" — we're going to walk through three powerful truths. 1. First, that real trust means surrendering your direction to God. 2. Second, that God's guidance flows out of His deep, covenant love — what the Hebrew calls hesed. 3. And third, that honest confession unlocks both God's forgiveness and His friendship. * * * * * Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word! We are smack dab in the middle of what I call ‘Maycember', and the tidal wave of end of school year events feels unrelenting. Are you feeling the pre-summer pressure, too? You're not alone! I really lean on my parenting motto throughout May: Half Ass, Whole Heart. By choosing sobriety, you've gone a long way to showing up with your whole heart for your kids. The other stuff? ‘Half ass' it wherever you need to (store bought cookies are great!). Check in with yourself: What can you say no to this week? How can you take care of yourself when you're just trying to survive the month? What thing that doesn't really matter can you gently set aside so that a glass of wine doesn't sound like the solution at the end of the day? It might feel like you're treading water this month - but trust me - you've got this. My 12- week Sober Summer Series is starting next Friday right here on The Weekend Reset! The fruit and veggies that are planted in the garden won't grow without good soil. And there's a parallel there to our spiritual life. Fruit won't grow out of our hearts without a heart that is ready and willing to receive the Word. In this episode of Living Myth, Michael Meade considers the current global challenges and emphasizes the importance of living from a place of wholeheartedness. He reflects on the symbolism of an open heart and how facing personal fears contributes to living a life of meaning and purpose. Woven through this episode are poems from Rumi and William Stafford about the need for transformation and the unique role each soul plays in the world's drama. Like the Earth, the human heart bears an inner flame that can burn with intense passions and deep longings, but can also illuminate paths of compassion, healing and renewal. Our greatest obstacles and sufferings aim at a revelation of the heart within our heart. For, what the heart loves is the cure and what cures the human heart can help heal a broken world. Whole Heart and Pastor Mitch Dobson join us for the morning. In Romans 8, we see how we move from debtor (bondage) to an adopted son/child (heir).
Romans 5-7 and Mark 12: 29-31 with Bryan RouanzoinAs Paul describes, we are whole beings made up of parts - with a heart, mind, soul, and body. Pastor Bryan unpacks these parts and how we often end up drifting from the very way of life in Jesus that we are longing for. It is God who can draw these parts together into wholeness.
Today, watch for opportunities to serve the Lord Jesus with His whole heart of compassion. -------- Thank you for listening! Your support of Joni and Friends helps make this show possible. God calls us to reflect His heart, not our own assumptions or divisions. When we allow God's wisdom to shape us, He expands our vision for justice, compassion, and faithfulness. This week, we wrestle with what it means to represent God's whole heart as we seek to love our neighbors and serve the world with humility and courage.⚫CONNECT WITH US:
What does it really mean to follow God when obedience doesn't make sense yet? In this episode, we step into David's final charge to Solomon in 1 Chronicles 28:9–10 and uncover why knowing God must always come before doing for God. We talk about undivided hearts, wholehearted devotion, and why purity gives God permission to work freely in our lives. If you've ever wrestled with delayed obedience, divided affections, or uncertainty about God's calling, this conversation will challenge and encourage you to be strong—and do what God has asked.

Pastor Jeff Davis unpacks what it truly means to honor God. Looking at John 8:48-51, he shows us how Jesus stayed grounded in His identity despite criticism - and how we're called to do the same. Pastor Jeff explains that honoring God starts with receiving a new heart, living in the righteousness that comes through Jesus, and embracing the abundant life He offers. He also reminds us that our lives are meant to shine God's light, reflecting His goodness in everything we do. Listen to this sermon to be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to honor God with your whole heart.

What does it really mean to show up? In this conversation with Christina Tindale, Amir Zoghi dives into why being all in—no half-measures, no excuses—changes everything. They dive into the courage it takes to be vulnerable, the depth that comes from committing to yourself, and why love without reasons is the only love worth living. This is a real, unfiltered look at growth—not as something you chase, but as something you live when you commit to showing up fully.
