I form the light, and create darkness, I bring prosperity, and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things!" Isaiah 45:6-7 Who is regulating affairs on this earth today: God, or the Devil? That God reigns supreme in Heaven, is generally conceded; but that He reigns supreme over this earth, is almost universally denied--if not directly, then indirectly. More and more are men relegating God to the background, in their philosophizing and theorizing. Take the material realm. Not only is it denied that God created everything, by personal and direct action, but few believe that He has any immediate concern in regulating the works of His own hands. It is common to hear disasters explained as impersonal "Forces of Nature," or mere outcomes of "Natural Laws," or "Bad Luck." Yet Scripture shatters that notion: War, pestilence, floods, storms, earthquakes, fires--all flow from the eternal decree and providential governance of our holy God. When hurricanes lash the coast, or fires consume forests--we must not bow the knee to the myth of "Mother Nature" but humble ourselves before the One who "commands and raises the stormy wind." Nahum 1:3, "He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The

At the Cross we see the outshining of the attributes of God as nowhere else. The Cross is the blazing center of the divine perfections. The Cross of Christ exhibits, in the most solemn and awe-inspiring manner, the inviolability of God's justice. Sin can only be put away by the shedding of blood. In the Cross, God did not relax His justice in order to manifest His love; He satisfied His justice in the outpouring of His love. Nowhere does the love of God shine forth so fully and gloriously as at the Cross. There we behold His heart laid bare, as He spared not His own Son. The Cross reveals the infinite wisdom of God. None but an omniscient mind could have devised a plan whereby divine justice could be satisfied and mercy flow freely to the chief of sinners. The Cross demonstrates the holiness of God more clearly than Sinai. There, the Law was given; here, the penalty of that Law was exacted upon the sinless Substitute. Calvary was not merely the place where man's sin reached its climax—but where God's grace triumphed in its fullness. Christ crucified is not only the foundation of the Christian faith—it is the focal point of all God's dealings with man. The Cross is the key that unlocks the mystery of divine providence. There we see that God is able to bring the highest good, from the worst evil. To stand at the foot of the Cross is to witness the confluence of God's hatred of sin, and His compassion for sinners. Let us draw near with reverence and worship, for we are treading on holy ground. May our study of these seven sayings stir repentance, kindle gratitude, and deepen love for the crucified Savior.

"Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit." Luke 23:46 This final utterance from the cross is not one of defeat--but of divine serenity. Having borne the wrath of God and completed the work of our redemption, the Lord Jesus now breathes out a word of rest and trust: "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit." This is not resignation--it is resolution. Not despair--but deep satisfaction in the will of God. Notice the address: "Father." Though moments earlier He had cried, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"--now the darkness lifts, and communion is restored. The cry of abandonment, has given way to the voice of fellowship. Christ dies not in fear, but in faith. Not under wrath, but in the embrace of love. The Lord Jesus did not cling to His life; in love for His people, He sacrificed it. Voluntarily. Confidently. Peacefully. He had said earlier, "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord" (John 10:18). And now, He lays it down in perfect contentment. He entrusts His spirit to the Father--not into the void, not into oblivion--but into sovereign, loving hands. Here is the death of the believer's Substitute--and the model for every believer's own death. Christ has taken the sting out of death. The grave has lost its victory. For the Christian, death is no longer a leap into darkness, but a Home-going to the Father. The moment the spirit leaves the body, it enters the presence of God. Believer, are you anxious? Do you fear what lies ahead? Learn from your Savior. Live in such communion with God, that you may die as He did--trusting, resting, content. Say daily with faith, "Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit." Not only at death, but in

"It is finished!" John 19:30 One word in the Greek. Three in English. But infinite in meaning. "It is finished!" Not a cry of despair, but a shout of triumph. Not the sigh of one overcome, but the proclamation of a Conqueror. As the Savior bowed His thorn-crowned head, He declared that the work He had come to do was fully accomplished. Every step of obedience, every act of righteousness, every prophecy fulfilled--finished forever! The Law, perfectly honored. The justice of God, fully satisfied. The cup of wrath, drained to the last drop! Satan defeated. Sin atoned for. Redemption purchased. No loose ends remain. Nothing is lacking. Nothing is left for man to add. Christ did not say, "I have done My part; now you do yours." He said, "It is finished!" Here lies the ground of the believer's peace. Not in our feelings. Not in our performance. But in the finished work of Christ. It is not our grip on Him, but His grip on us, that secures salvation. All whom the Father gave to the Son were loved, redeemed, and secured by this one glorious act. "By one sacrifice He has made perfect forever, those who are being made holy" (Hebrews 10:14). Are you weary from striving to earn God's favor? Lay down your burden at the foot of the cross. Do not insult the sufficiency of Christ's sin-atoning sacrifice by trying to supplement it. There is no purgatory to endure, no penance to perform, nothing to merit or earn. The bloody death of Jesus has done it all. Let this word of victory fill your heart with holy joy and reverent awe. If "It is finished," then you are free--free to serve God, free to love God, free to worship God--not to gain salvation, but because salvation has been secured.

The Word of SUFFERING John 19:28, "I am thirsty." So brief. So human. Yet so infinitely profound. With parched lips and a burning throat, the Lord of glory uttered the cry: "I am thirsty." This anguishing cry, from the One who turned water into wine; from the One who spoke of "living water" that quenches the soul forever. Yet here on the cruel cross, He thirsts. This word reveals the Savior's full identification with His people. He was no phantom on the cross, no divine being immune to suffering. He was truly Man--flesh and blood, nerves and sinews. He took upon Himself our nature, not merely in appearance, but in reality. In the furnace of affliction, He drank the bitter cup to its dregs! And this thirst was no mere physical craving--it was the cry of One consumed by the wrath of God against our sin. The fire of divine judgment dried up every drop of His vitality. Yet this word also reveals His perfect submission. John tells us that Jesus said this, "so that the Scripture would be fulfilled" (John 19:28). Even in dire agony, He was obedient. He suffered not as a victim of chance, but as the Servant of the Father's will, and out of love for His people. Every moment on the cross was the outworking of God's eternal purpose. Every pang fulfilled prophecy. His sin-atoning suffering accomplished our redemption. This agonizing cry is a precious balm to the believer's soul. Are you weary? He was weary. Are you in pain? He was pierced. Are you thirsty for righteousness, for peace, for God? He thirsted first--that He might give you the water of life freely. "To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life" (Revelation 21:6). Christian, this

The Word of ANGUISH Matthew 27:46, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" This anguishing cry pierces time and eternity. It echoes with a depth of sorrow which no human mind can fully grasp. It was not the physical pain of His torture, nor the mockery of men--but the awful withdrawal of the Father's presence that wrung this cry of torment from the Savior's heart. This was not loss of faith, but the deepest agony of love, deprived of its joy. Never had the Son known such a moment. From all eternity, He had dwelt in perfect fellowship with the Father--one in essence, joy and will. Yet here, at Calvary's apex, Jesus was forsaken. Not as a sinner, for He was sinless. But as our sin-bearer. "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us" (2 Corinthians 5:21). The absolutely Holy One, stood in the place of vile sinners. The Beloved One became accursed, that the cursed ones might become beloved. In this forsaking, Hell's horror was compressed into a moment--and endured by One Who could not sin and would not turn away. Here we behold the infinite cost of our redemption. Christ endured the wrath of the Father, so that we might have communion with Him. He was abandoned that we might be adopted. He was plunged into darkness so that we could walk in the light of God's favor. Let us tremble at this dreadful picture. Sin is no light thing. It required the cross. Not moral reformations. Not religious rituals. But the wrath-bearing death of the spotless Lamb. If the Father did not spare His own Son when sin was imputed to Him, then how can any presume to escape judgment apart from Jesus? Yet let us also adore. For this cry--as agonizing as it was--marks the very foundation of

"Dear woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." John 19:26-27 Amid the unthinkable anguish of Calvary, the Lord Jesus paused--not to relieve His own suffering, but to care for another. With thorns piercing His brow and breath growing short, He fixed His eyes upon His mother. To Mary, He said, "Dear woman, here is your son." To John, "Here is your mother." In the very act of redemption, He demonstrated tender affection and perfect obedience. This scene is rich in divine beauty. At the height of His suffering, Christ was not absorbed in Himself. Though He was bearing the full wrath of God for the sins of His people, He was not forgetful of the needs of His earthly mother. The law He came to fulfill commanded, "Honor your father and your mother" (Exodus 20:12), and even from the cross, the sinless Son rendered full obedience. Though Mary had no claim upon Him as Savior above any other, yet as her Son, He provided for her with holy compassion. What love is this? He who sustains the universe ensures the earthly care of one widow. He who was forsaken by the Father does not forsake His mother. He Who was giving His life for the Church did not overlook the needs of one aged saint. Here is the heart of Christ--tender, attentive, selfless. Let every believer draw comfort from this: if the Lord showed such affection in His darkest hour, will He not now--glorified and enthroned--care for His own? "Casting all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Christ is not indifferent to your sorrow, your loneliness, or your need. He who appointed John to care for Mary appoints all your circumstances with wisdom and love. And let this word o

"I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise!" Luke 23:43 What grace is this, that the dying Savior would turn His bloodied face to a condemned thief and utter the sweetest words ever spoken to a guilty soul! The man had nothing to offer. No good works. No religious pedigree. He could not be baptized, catechized, or confirmed. He was nailed to a cross, justly punished, and moments from eternity--yet mercy met him there! What changed this man? A divine work of grace! One thief railed in unbelief. The other was awakened to his sin, rebuked his companion, and cast himself upon the crucified Christ: "Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." (Luke 23:42). He believed that the bleeding Man beside him was the King of glory. He looked beyond the shame of the cross, to the certainty of Christ's reign. That is saving faith--God-given, Christ-centered, and resting in sheer grace. And how does the Savior respond? Not with hesitation, not with conditions, but with an immediate promise: "Today you will be with Me in paradise!" What a word! Here is the assurance of salvation--instant, personal, eternal. The dying thief would not pass into oblivion, nor into purgatory, but into the presence of Christ. To be with Christ is the essence of paradise. Salvation is not merely deliverance from Hell; it is communion with the Redeemer Himself. Here the gospel shines in full glory. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. The thief was saved without works, without sacraments, without delay. And so are all who truly believe. Let every trembling sinner take heart: Christ saves to the uttermost. None are too vile, too late, or too far gone!

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Luke 23:34 Behold the Lamb of God suspended between earth and Heaven--mocked, scourged, bleeding, and yet praying. Not for deliverance. Not for vengeance. But for His enemies. "Father, forgive them." Here we are given a glimpse into the unfathomable grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. As men drove nails through His hands, as they crowned Him with thorns, and hurled insults at His holy head--He interceded for them. This is no mere sentiment. This is divine mercy in its purest expression. These words were not uttered in comfort, but in the hour of His deepest agony. Even as He bore the weight of His people's sins, His heart overflowed with compassion. Here is the High Priest, fulfilling His office--not behind a veil in an earthly tabernacle, but on a cross, shedding His own blood. "He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree" (1 Peter 2:24). This first saying from the cross reveals the very heart of the gospel: God's forgiveness extended to the undeserving. The Savior did not plead the ignorance of man as an excuse, but as an occasion for bestowing forgiveness. For though they knew not what they were doing, their guilt remained--yet He, the sinless One, bore it all. What mere man could respond to cruelty, with mercy? Only He who is both God and Man. And so, dear believer, be humbled. Was it not for your sins, too, that He prayed? Was it not your rebellion that brought Him to that tree? And yet He loved you still. Here is the assurance for every contrite soul: if Christ prayed for the forgiveness of those who crucified Him--then surely His blood avails for you. Nothing in you prompted His love. Everything

A Devotional Study on the Attributes of God 1. The Solitariness of God "Before the mountains were born or You brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God." — Psalm 90:2 Before there was time, before there was light, before there was an angel in Heaven or a speck of dust in the cosmos—God was. He dwelt in solitary majesty, needing nothing, lacking nothing, desiring nothing outside Himself. He was eternally perfect in all His glorious attributes. There was no heaven for Him to inhabit, no earth to govern, no creatures to praise Him—and yet He was altogether blessed. 2. The Decrees of God "The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations." — Psalm 33:11 Before the foundation of the world, in the infinite recesses of eternity, God established His eternal decrees. These decrees are the manifestation of His sovereign will, the blueprint by which all creation unfolds. They are not formed in response to events, for nothing takes the Omniscient by surprise. Instead, they are the cause of all that transpires, the predetermined plan that governs the universe. 3. The Knowledge of God "Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit." — Psalm 147:5 The knowledge of God is infinite, perfect, and eternal. There is no learning with God, for He has always known all things. He never discovers, never forgets, never improves in understanding. His knowledge is not acquired—it is essential to His very nature. He knows Himself fully and knows all things outside Himself perfectly, from eternity past to eternity future. 4. The Foreknowledge of God "For those

James 4:14, "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes!" Life is fleeting. Imagine an hourglass with sand steadily falling from the top chamber to the bottom. You cannot see how much sand remains above. You only know that the grains are slipping away, second by second. Yet, distracted by temporary pursuits and oblivious to eternal realities--we often live as if the sands will never run out. This is a vivid picture of our lives. One day the last grain will fall, and our time will be over! Will you be ready? The Bible teaches us to consider the brevity of life and the weight of eternity. Wisdom begins with understanding that our earthly existence is but a vapor compared to the endless expanse of eternity. In a little while it shall be said of us, "He is gone!" Let us live as men who must soon give our final account to God. The question we must face is this: Where will we spend eternity? The Scriptures make it clear that there are only two destinations--Heaven or Hell. Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." It is the height of folly to live unconcerned about such a critical question. Eternity is not something to ignore or postpone considering. To neglect our final destiny is to gamble with our eternal soul. Hebrews 9:27 reminds us, "It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." The sands of time are running out for each of us, and none of us knows w

How grievous is the spectacle of men who claim to serve Christ, yet crave the world! They mount the pulpit, carry the Bible, and speak much of love--but their affections are chained to the world. Their prayers are polished, their platforms are popular, and their names are praised--yet they are lost! They are enemies of the Cross, and the Apostle writes of them with tears. Such men are not pagans. They are professing ministers. They do not outright deny Christ--they dilute Him. They do not discard the Bible--they distort it. Their god is not Jehovah--it is their belly. That is, their god is their appetite, comfort, fame, security, applause. They speak of glory, but it is their own, not His. There is scarcely a more loathsome evil, than the perversion of the Gospel by those entrusted to preach it. The Lord does not take lightly, those who dare to trade His truth for treasure, or reduce His blood-bought Gospel into a scheme for gain. Micah thundered in his day, "Her priests teach for a price… yet they lean on the LORD and say, 'Is not the LORD among us?'" (Micah 3:11). The same spirit pervades much of modern ministry. "God is here," they say, while their lives deny Him. Smooth sermons, wide smiles, and packed churches--cannot hide the stench of compromise. God sees the heart. He knows who serves Him--and who serves Mammon. Jesus left no room for divided loyalty: "You cannot serve both God and Money." The servant of Christ must be crucified to this world (Galatians 6:14), emptied of self-interest, and consumed with the glory of God. He is a herald of the King, sent to preach repentance, judgment, and grace--whether men will hear or refuse. Dear reader, do not be seduc

Psalm 19:8, "The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart." Joy is not a fleeting emotion stirred by circumstances--it is a deep, abiding gladness rooted in the knowledge of the true and living God. The one who truly profits from the Word, is the one who finds in it the fountain of true joy. This is not the joy of the world--which is shallow, deceptive, and vanishing. It is the joy of Heaven--the joy of communion with God, of sins forgiven, of a conscience cleansed, of a hope of being forever with Jesus. The Scriptures reveal the God of joy. He is a loving Father who delights to bless His children. Every line of His Word is a channel through which this divine joy flows. The soul profits from the Word when it begins to say with the psalmist, "Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart!" (Psalm 119:111) This joy does not spring from emotional experiences, but from understanding, believing, and embracing divine truth. The joy that the Word imparts is a holy joy--a joy that rests in God Himself. It is not based on what we possess or what we experience--but on who God is, and what He has done for us in Christ. The promises of God kindle joy, because they assure us of His love and faithfulness. The doctrines of grace ignite joy, because they reveal the sovereign mercy that sought and saved us. Even the commands of Scripture become a source of joy to the heart that delights to obey. Yet this joy is often mingled with sorrow, for the more we are conformed to Christ through the Word, the more we will grieve over our sin. But even this godly sorrow leads to deeper joy, for it drives us again and again to the cross, where true gladness is

2 Peter 1:4, "He has given us His very great and precious promises!" The promises of God are not ornamental words meant to decorate the pages of Scripture--they are divine pledges, sealed by the blood of Christ. They are given to nourish faith, sustain obedience, and strengthen the soul in every season of life. To truly profit from the Word, is to lay hold of God's promises--not as abstract truths, but as living realities that anchor the heart to Him. Every promise is rooted in the character of God. Because He cannot lie, His Word is certain. Because He is unchanging, His promises endure. Because He is all-powerful, He is able to fulfill what He has spoken. These promises are not to be indiscriminately applied. "He has given US His very great and precious promises!" They are given to genuine believers alone, and made effectual to those who walk by faith. The promises are meant to be used. They are spiritual manna for the journey, oil for the lamp, and strength for the battle. In temptation, they shield the heart. In affliction, they soothe the soul. In trials, they inspire endurance. The one who profits from the Word, stores them in his heart, prays them back to God, and lives upon them as daily bread. They do not lead him to presumption, but to holiness--teaching him to walk in the fear of the Lord, while resting in His covenant faithfulness. God's promises are never intended to make us lazy or careless, but diligent and hopeful. As Paul said, "Since we have these promises, dear friends--let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit." One of the most searching tests of whether we are truly profiting from the Word is this: What effect is it having on my relationship to the world? The Word of God calls believers to a path of separation--a separation not of physical distance, but of moral distinction. The same grace that brings salvation, also "teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly passions." (Titus 2:12) The man who profits from Scripture, is the man who learns to view the world as God views it: ensnaring, wicked, fleeting, and hostile to Christ. The world is not neutral--it is at enmity with God. (James 4:4) It lies in the power of the evil one. (1 John 5:19) Its pleasures are deceitful and damning, its philosophies are godless, its aims are selfish. The cross of Christ is the great divider, and the believer, being crucified with Christ, is also crucified to the world. (Galatians 6:14) To profit from the Word is to have the world's luster dimmed, its music silenced, and its alluring dainties seen in their true light. Scripture renews the mind and reorients the affections. The more one is filled with the Word, the more he sets his heart "on things above, not on earthly things." (Colossians 3:2). The heart disentangles from the world's snares, and the believer begins to live as a pilgrim and stranger. He is in the world but not of it. He engages in it without being entangled in its deceitful meshes. He works in it without worshiping it. He does not follow its fashions, absorb its values, or crave its applause. As our Lord solemnly warned, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in Heaven." (Matthew 7:21) Obedience is not optional in the Christian life--it is essential. It is the evidence of a heart made alive by grace. The Scriptures were not given to be admired from a distance, or merely studied as literature, but to be obeyed in the power of the Spirit. To profit from the Word, is to have its commands inscribed upon the heart, and worked out into the life by cheerful obedience. When the soul is brought under the rule of Scripture, obedience ceases to be a burden and becomes a delight. The believer no longer picks and chooses what to follow, but bows to all that God has spoken. Like Abraham, he obeys not knowing where it will lead. (Hebrews 11:8) Like David, he prays, "Teach me, O Lord, to follow Your decrees; then I will keep them to the end." (Psalm 119:33) And like Jesus he declares, "I have come to do Your will, O God." (Hebrews 10:7) This obedience is neither forced nor meritorious. It is the grateful response of a redeemed heart. It is the Spirit-wrought fruit of the new birth. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." The ultimate test of whether we are truly profiting from the Word is not how much we know--but how we live. Scripture never flatters the intellect while bypassing the life. It searches the heart and demands fruit. A head full of doctrine without a life full of good works--is a barren tree, destined not for praise, but for punishment. The Word of God rightly received, sanctifies the soul, and energizes the hands. It molds the heart after Christ, and moves the believer to live for the glory of God in every sphere of life. Good works are not the root of salvation, but they are the necessary fruit. They are not the means of gaining favor with God, but the inevitable result of having received His grace. As it is written, "We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10). The Scriptures instruct us in what is good, rebuke us when we fail, and spur us onward with divine promises and holy examples. A man profits from the Word when he is led to live a life of active godliness--when his thoughts, speech, and conduct, begin to reflect that of the Lord Jesus. The love of God revealed in the Scriptures, will stir him to love both God and others. The mercy of God extended to him, will cause him to show mercy. 1 Timothy 1:5, "The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith." To profit from the Word is to grow in holy love. Love is not an abstract sentiment or a mere feeling--it is the fruit of divine life within, shaped and governed by truth. The one who truly feeds upon the Scriptures, is transformed into a vessel of love: love for God, love for His truth, love for His people, and even love for enemies. The Word not only instructs the mind, but inflames the heart with a fervent and pure affection that flows from the indwelling Spirit. The Scriptures reveal that God is love--not love as man imagines it, but love as God defines it. This love is holy, sovereign, and sacrificial. It is perfectly displayed at Calvary, where Christ "loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God!" (Ephesians 5:2). To read the Bible rightly, is to see that every line points to this redeeming love, and to be drawn more deeply into its embrace. The man who profits from the Word will not remain cold, harsh, or indifferent--he will be softened, sweetened, and sanctified by divine love. Love that is shaped by Scripture, is pure and discerning. It does not embrace error or excuse sin. It does not call evil good, or treat truth as negotiable. Love rejoices with the truth, (1 Corinthians 13:6) The more a soul is filled with God's Word, the more it loves what God loves and hates what God hates. This love, grounded in righteousness, becomes the believer's badge and evidence of saving grace. Such love expresses itself not in words only, but in deeds. It labors, sacrifices, and serves. It esteems others better than self.

Romans 8:26, "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." The Christian life is not free from weakness, but rather full of it. We groan under . . . the burden of indwelling sin, the brokenness of the world, and the mystery of God's providence. Often, we find ourselves overwhelmed--our thoughts confused, our emotions storm-tossed, our words failing in prayer. Yet even in these frail moments, the believer is not alone. For within him dwells the Spirit of God, the divine Helper, who prays with and for him. In this verse, we see the intercessory ministry of the Holy Spirit, so often overlooked, yet profoundly necessary. The Spirit does not merely assist us when we are strong; He helps us in our "weakness". He comes alongside us when we do not know what to say. When the burden is too deep for words, when the pain is beyond expression, He intercedes with groanings that reach the heart of the Father. These are not groans of despair, but of holy longing, divinely wrought desires for the will of God, rising from within the soul. The Spirit's intercession is continual and unceasing. It is perfectly aligned with God's will. Unlike our prayers--so often mixed with selfishness or ignorance--His groanings are pure and effective. The Father, who searches hearts, hears not merely the faltering words of His children, but the Spirit's cry within them. And because the Spirit is God, His intercession always prevails. The gospel is not human counsel, a moral code, or religious sentiment. It is the divine proclamation that the thrice-holy God saves guilty sinners—freely, sovereignly, and eternally—through the sin-atoning death of Jesus on the cruel cross. It is the gospel of grace: unmerited, unprovoked, and unconditional. Grace authored salvation in eternity past. Grace sent the eternal Son, clothed in frail humanity. Grace . . . sustained Him in Gethsemane, nailed Him to the cross, and raised Him in triumph! That same grace now . . . calls the unworthy, convicts the hard-hearted, converts the dead in sin, and preserves them to the end. The gospel lays man in the dust, and crowns Christ with glory. It shuts every mouth, and opens hearts to worship. It declares with finality, that salvation is of the Lord—from beginning to end. The condemned are pardoned. The dead are made alive. Rebels are adopted as sons and daughters. Let us . . . proclaim it with boldness, treasure it with reverence, and walk in its power daily. In the hands of the omnipotent Spirit, the gospel is God's gracious message that saves un-deserving, ill-deserving, and Hell-deserving sinners! Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you." Left to ourselves, we are blind wanderers in the maze of this world—inclined to err, and unable to discern the way. But the Lord, in His wondrous mercy, does not abandon His people to their own devices. He is our Shepherd, wise and watchful, ever guiding those who trust in Him. His direction comes through the unchanging truths of His Word, the inner witness of His Spirit, the workings of His providence, and often through the godly counsel of those who walk closely with Him. His leading is never hurried, never late, always tender, and always sure. Sometimes He brings us beside quiet waters--at other times He takes us through the valley of deep shadows. Yet in every season, His purpose stands—to conform us to Christ and to glorify His Name. "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight!" Proverbs 3:6 Often, His guidance is veiled in delay, or revealed through a closed door. But He is never mistaken, never indifferent, never unaware. By withholding immediate answers, He teaches us to not lean on our understanding, but to rest in His perfect wisdom. His call is not merely to know the path—but to trust the Guide. So then, believer, walk in quiet confidence. Fix your gaze on your infallible Shepherd. Hear His voice in the Scriptures. Seek His face in prayer. He will never mislead you—for He is the unfailing God, infinitely wise, perfectly good, and sovereign over every step you take. Romans 8:32, "He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?" God is the fountainhead of all goodness. Every breath we take, every drop of rain, every morsel of food, every kindness we taste, every joy we experience, every provision we receive—flow from His sovereign grace. He gives, not because He must, but because it pleases Him to do so. All that is good originates in Him, and apart from Him, there is no good at all. He grants the gift of life and sustains it with breath. He bestows family, health, daily bread, and shelter. Yet these temporal blessings, however generous, pale in comparison to the spiritual riches which He lavishes upon His people in His beloved Son: election, redemption, regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification! These gifts are never random. They are sovereignly appointed, wisely measured, and lovingly given. Sometimes God's gift is joy--and at other times His gift is sorrow. Sometimes it is abundance--and other times affliction. But always, they are suited to the eternal good of those who love Him. All His gifts serve His purpose—to conform us to the image of His darling Son, and to magnify the glory of His grace. How then should we respond? With awe. With gratitude. With humble trust. "What do you have, that you did not receive?" 1 Corinthians 4:7. Everything we possess is a trust from God, to be used for His glory and the good of others. We are God's stewards, not owners of all the good things He has blessed us with. He gives freely, fully, and forever. The gift of His Son is the fountain of every other gift. Matthew 25:41, "Then He will say to those on His left: Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels!" The curse of God is no empty threat--it is the solemn declaration of His inflexible holiness and righteousness. It proceeds not from cruelty, but from His perfect justice. As His blessings are tokens of mercy towards every redeemed saint, so His curses are expressions of His holy wrath against every unbelieving sinner. From birth, every soul stands beneath this dreadful sentence, "All have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God!" Not merely gross wickedness, but every failure to love the Lord wholly and perfectly, places the sinner under condemnation. God's Word demands uninterrupted and entire obedience--and anything less invokes His curse. Yet in the midst of such terrifying truth, shines the wonder of redeeming grace: "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, by becoming a curse for us!" Galatians 3:13 The weight of Divine wrath fell upon the spotless Lamb! The sword of vengeance was sheathed in His holy soul. He bore what we deserved--so that we might be pardoned, justified, and made heirs of eternal life. Believers! We were once dead in our transgressions and sins, in which we used to live when we followed our father Satan, and the evil ways of this world. Like the perishing people around us, we were by nature children of wrath, and on our way to eternal perdition! But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, saved us by His wondrous grace! Such a marvelous salvation should strip us of all pride, and fill us with reverent awe and unceasing gratitude. Since we are saved by grace alone

Ephesians 1:3, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." While the world hungers after fleeting vanities, the believer possesses imperishable riches—secured in Heaven, reserved by God, and flowing freely through the sufferings and death of Jesus: from pardon of sin--to peace with God; from salvation by grace--to a priceless eternal inheritance. In Christ, we are blessed with: election before the foundation of the world, redemption through His sin-atoning blood, adoption into the family of God, justification by grace, sanctification by the Spirit, and the hope of eternal glory. These blessings are not wages earned, but gifts bestowed: flowing from the sovereign love of the Father in eternity past, accomplished by the Son on the cruel cross, and applied by the Spirit in regeneration and sanctification. Temporal blessings may come and go—health may fail, wealth may vanish, relationships may change—but the spiritual blessings given in Christ are unshakable and everlasting. Even our trials are transformed into mercies, in the hands of our wise and loving God, who uses them to refine our faith and draw us nearer to Himself. Let our gratitude rise—not chiefly for the gifts—but for the Giver Himself. Let us live as those who are truly blessed: seeking first His kingdom, treasuring His promises, and rejoicing in His unsearchable riches. Psalm 63:6, "I lie awake thinking of You, meditating on You through the night." Psalm 104:34, "My meditation of Him shall be sweet!" In an age of ceaseless noise and constant distraction, few pursuits are more "neglected", or more "necessary", than the quiet contemplation of God. To fix the "eye of faith" upon Him, is to rise above the temporal, and touch the Eternal. It is to hush the clamoring voices of the world, and hear the One who speaks from Heaven! When we meditate on God's attributes, as found in His Word--His love, His sovereignty, His faithfulness, our hearts are lifted from fear to faith, and from anxiety to adoration! The more we know Him, the more we love and trust Him. The clearer we see Him, the smaller our trials appear. To contemplate God, is the highest occupation of the soul! In beholding His glory, we are transformed. The more we meditate on His attributes, the more we are lifted from this world's vanities. Let your thoughts be filled with His greatness. You become what you behold—gaze on God and be changed! Set apart time for this sacred exercise. Withdraw from the world, and draw near through His Word. Let your thoughts be saturated with His truth. No other pursuit so fortifies the believer, purifies the heart, or ignites the affections, as the contemplation of the Most High. "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men." Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is the expression of His infinite holiness, stirred to action against sin. It is not a sudden or irrational fury, but the steady and righteous opposition of a God who is light, in whom there is no darkness at all. A God who does not hate sin cannot be holy—and a God who does not judge sin cannot be just. Though men recoil at the thought of divine wrath, Scripture never hesitates to declare it. God's wrath fell upon Sodom, devastated Egypt, consumed rebellious Israel—and it will fall again with perfect justice upon all who remain in their sin. "Our God is a consuming fire!" Hebrews 12:29 This wrath, however, is never arbitrary. It is always measured, and always just. Nowhere is this more clearly seen than at the cross. There, the spotless Son stood in the place of the guilty. The cup of divine fury was not withheld—but was drained by the Savior on behalf of those He came to redeem. In that awful hour, the depths of human depravity and the majesty of divine justice met. Christ bore not merely the punishment of Hell—but the wrath of Almighty God. Let lost sinners tremble—and flee to the only Refuge. Let the redeemed bow in reverent wonder. We were not merely spared from eternal ruin—we were rescued from the wrath of God Himself!
