On this episode of Compete with the Stack, we are joined by Coach Ben Campos (@CoachBCampos). Coach is the DC at Carbondale HS in Illinois. From 2000 to 2014 I coached the offensive side of the ball, 10 years as an Offensive line coach. Promoted to DC in 2015. In 2016 they went all in on the 3-3 Stack. 2018 the program turned the corner. We improved ten fold in every major category defensively, 23 total turnovers, and made it to the second round of the playoffs winning our first playoff home game in 26 years by beating Champaign Central at home. Lost in the second round at Cahokia. 8-3 In 2019 continued our success defensively, went 8-2, and improved again in every major defensive category. Won a share of the conference for the first time in 27 years. In our quest to find the best 3-3 stack coaches across the country, Coach Desrochers is in Perioa, Arizona. They were the 2019 6A State Champions. Coach speaks on their use of the 4i Tite front and the 3 high Safety coverage. The defensive staff at Liberty was able to meet with Iowa State for a week last spring to gain knowledge of this defense.

Coach Ralph is the HC at New Palestine in Indiana. Coach has won back to back state championships in 2018-2019 as well as another in 2014. In 2019, his team held opponents to 8.8 ppg. Coach Lamar has a 80-24 record, won 4 region championships, 2016 state finalist, and 2016 Atlanta Falcons Coach of the Year.
