If you have ever felt like you are doing everything “right” and still feel untethered, this one is for you. We start with Parsha Matos Masei and the weight of the Three Weeks, then pivot to a modern pressure point: the moment you leave the yeshiva world and step into work, contracts, deadlines, and environments you did not choose. That transition can be bumpy, and it can quietly drain your Torah learning, your davening, and your joy if you try to muscle through it alone. We share the advice I got from my Rosh Yeshiva for staying grounded: keep learning Torah day and night, choose learning that holds your attention, and move at a sustainable pace that survives busy weeks. Then we get to the heart of the message: join a chaburah. Not a casual drop in, but a real fellowship where people know you, where your presence matters, and where healthy accountability and friendly competition pull you upward. To make it concrete, I use a real estate story about choosing a brokerage and how a bonding trip changed my view of what a team gives you. We connect that to the spiritual danger of becoming a “floater” with no consistent shul, no steady rebbe, and no anchored community, and we end with a powerful Rav Hutner story about what it means to be seen. If you want stronger Torah learning, better work life balance, and a Jewish community that actually holds you, commit to a group that would miss you.Subscribe, share this with a friend who feels untethered, and leave a review with one place you want to belong more deeply.Support the showJoin The Motivation Congregation WhatsApp community for daily motivational Torah content!------------------Check out our other Torah Podcasts and content!SUBSCRIBE to The Motivation Congregation Podcast for daily motivational Mussar!Listen on Spotify or 24six!Find all Torah talks and listen to featured episodes on our website, themotivationcongregation.orgQuestions or Comments? Freedom of speech is enshrined in the First Amendment. Our society allows people to say whatever they want so long as they're not perjuring themselves or making explicit calls to violence. In our society, words don't carry weight. A verbal agreement without a signed contract carried no legal muster. The Torah has a very different perspective: your power to communicate verbally is your most essential human characteristic and corrupting your speech is corrupting your essence. Moreover, your speech creates realities of enormous gravity. This is not the only departure from common perception found in our double Parsha. How do we view eating, how do we view a default person, how do we view the spiritual versus the physical realities... Torah is designed to upgrade us to a higher level of living to a higher level of existence. In this Parsha podcast, we learn how that works.– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –DONATE: Please consider supporting the podcasts by making a donation to help fund our Jewish outreach and educational efforts at https://www.torchweb.org/support.php. Shiur give by Rabbi Menachem Apter on Parsha.

משיחת ו' תשרי ה'תשכ"ח ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=08-07-2026 Synopsis Torah scholars are just as essential for military victory as the soldiers on the front. We see this within the army itself, where there are soldiers on the front lines, and commanders who sit in a protected place far from the front lines and plan the war. Obviously, if the solders were to argue to a commander, “Will your brothers go to war while you sit here” (as it says in shishi of parashas Mattos), and in response the commander were to leave his planning and go out to the front, that would result in the opposite of victory. And the same applies in a broader sense: for the army and its soldiers to succeed in their mission, there must also be those engaged in Torah study and making the spiritual “plans.” Even the most advanced weapons will not help a soldier if he is not alive, and the soldier's life depends on the Torah studied on his behalf (“for they are our life and the length of our days”); this is the soldier's spiritual nourishment. And just as a soldier who flees from the battlefield is called a deserter, so too, one who leaves his post at the yeshivah to go and fight is not only not helping the cause, but on the contrary. Likewise, the success of Zevulun in his business affairs comes in the merit of the Torah study of Yissachar.Excerpt from sichah of 6 Tishrei 5728 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=08-07-2026

The Book of Bamidbar ends on a bit of a surprising note. The final chapter of our book revisits the somewhat technical narrative relating to the inheritance of the ancestral lands of a man named Tzelafchad. This man from the tribe of Menashe died without sons, and in chapter 27 of the book of numbers we learned that his lands will be apportioned to his daughters in lieu of male heirs. One may have thought that the saga of Tzelafchad was all settled. But no. The final chapter of the book revisits this story and offers an epilogue to it. Why is this the most fitting culmination of the book? In this very special Parsha podcast, we offer a novel solution. We learn how these five sisters were each remarkable in her own way, a lesson that serves as a fitting and powerful crescendo to the Book of Bamidbar.– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –DONATE: Please consider supporting the podcasts by making a donation to help fund our Jewish outreach and educational efforts at https://www.torchweb.org/support.php.
