Inpensi Omnia25:02 08. SupernovaExtreme music has kept me together and given me meaning throughout my life. In addition to becoming an independent filmmaker, I also served as a member of the band Vertigo Freeway during my high school and college years. It was a dream come true for me to be able to express myself through music on the guitar with my two friends Brandon Ryan and Austen Winquist. Brandon Ryan is no longer with us, and this was his final piece of music. We spent an entire summer working on this record, and it means more to me than you can imagine. Many happy memories come to mind as I recall eating a slice of pizza down the street and totaling my father's car and his drumset on the way to rehearsal.Because Brandon passed in the middle of the record, it was put on hold to mourn. Thanks to Alex Gross (Vocals), Mike Marion (Drums), and Collin Folger (Drums), we were able to pick up where we left off. This album assisted Nick King and me in dealing with our grief following the death of a close friend. Sharing this album gives me peace of mind because it signifies the end of a chapter in my life that was very valuable to me. "Supernova" is one of the album's standout tracks. I had the opportunity to meet Corey Taylor outside the bus of a Stone Sour gig and express our admiration for his work as well as my grief at the passing of a friend (a Slipknot fan). He seized the microphone on stage to show gratitude while I was weeping in the audience. We had many times bonded through our love of that band, and it all came full circle that night.- Jonathan LambertSupport the show

Almost a year in the making and it's here. We're beyond thrilled to present to you 12 of our personal-favorite local Rochester and Buffalo extreme metal bands on ONE cohesive track. The goal of this song was to demonstrate what each artist is capable of through their own flavors of guitar playing and writing styles. The ONLY direction we gave to the artist was that they had to play to a specific part in the song (drums only) and to a set guitar tuning so it flowed nicely. Featuring members in Shepherd of Rot, Seplophile, White Tides, PALEBLOOD, Halothane, Asphyxiate the Leader, In the Shadows of Giants, Inertia, Gates of Paradox, A Fitting Revenge, Creator Undone, and Clibbus.Mixed and Mastered by - Zane KnightDrums, Graphic Design, Video and Coordinator - Noise Dosage Media We want to hear from our listeners about their thoughts on future guests, topics of discussion, and show recommendations.
