Musiker Ihan Haydar har altid stået uden for sin kulturs normer. Da hun var en lille pige i sit fødeland Irak, spillede hun fodbold med drengene, selvom det ikke var velset. Da det endelige lykkedes hendes familie at flygte fra Saddam Husseins regime, der havde tortureret hendes far efter hvert et flugtforsøg, endte de i Danmark og Ihan gjorde alt det modsatte af, hvad hendes familie forventede. Hoy os traemos una de las bandas de Rock más importantes de la década de los 00s, grupo que marcó a toda una generación, sentó las bases y popularizó un movimiento que fue amado por muchos y odiado por otros tantos, que es el Emo. My Chemical Romance es una banda que se forma en el año 2002 en Nueva Jersey, Estados Unidos. Actualmente los miembros son Gerard Way como vocalista y líder de la banda, Matt Way, su hermano, al bajo, Frank Iero a los coros y la guitarra rítmica y Ray ToroToro como guitarrista principal y a los coros. Tienen una gran inspiración en bandas de Emo y Post-Hardcore como Thursday, Fugazi, The Used, Glassjaw pero por otra parte también de bandas y artistas clásicos como Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Queen o The Smashing Pumpkins que fue la banda que más les inspiró en sus sonido de Rock Alternativo. Su primer álbum 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love' fue publicado en el año 2002, y los colocó en la escena underground del emo siendo el disco con el sonido más crudo y violento de la banda. En 2004 lanzan 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge', un disco más melódico y con letras sobre adolescencia y que marcó el devenir de la banda. Le sigue el disco del que os hablamos hoy que es T'he Black Parade' del año 2006, donde la banda alcanzó éxito internacional. Y su discografía principal cierra, hasta el momento con 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys' del año 2010. En el año 2015 la banda entra en un periodo de hiatus y retorna en 2022 con nuevos conciertos y material.

"We do not look like the bands that we sound like, and we don't sound like the bands that we look like, which is what I'm kinda going for."   Lee Jennings of The Funeral Portrait boards the tour bus to talk active rock, the rising cost of touring, and the operational reality of paid VIPs.   Recorded live from their tour bus outside Allstate Arena, Lee Jennings of The Funeral Portrait joins Lizzie right before opening for I Prevail and Three Days Grace. Lee breaks down the band's aesthetic and sonic shift from 2010s scene core toward active rock, a move that recently culminated in a No. 1 Billboard Mainstream Rock hit for the band.  He details the importance of bringing theatricality back to heavy music with their "Devotion Ceremonies," drawing direct inspiration from early-2000s acts like My Chemical Romance and his love for Hawthorne Heights' Skeletons album.  The interview also tackles the harsh modern realities of being in a touring band. Now I'm charging for VIP, and it's hard because paid VIP pays for us to actually be on tour because it is so much more expensive to be on tour now than it ever has been."
