The Holy Spirit is our counselor, our comforter, our helper, our advocate. He guides us into truth. He shares with us the mind and heart of God. But , does the Holy Spirit still empower people? Are we allowing the Holy Spirit the fullness that He desires to have in our lives or are we limiting Him?
Did Adam & Eve make an irreparable mistake? Should God have just started over when they ate of the fruit from Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? Does humanity have any hope of restoring the broken relationship with God?
Who is Jesus? This is the most important question we must be able to answer. Opinions, ideas, and doctrines vary. Taking a close look at the Scriptures helps us define who Jsus is and what it means to us! What do you believe about Jesus?
Our perception or idea of God informs our beliefs, our thoughts and our actions. Often we assume that others see God as we see God or think about God as we think. We must all realize that we look at God through our own life experiences and yes even bias. Our finite minds try to fit God into something we can comprehend. Paul wants to encourage this group of believers in Colossae of their need and ability to live a holy life that is well pleasing to the Lord. At times we feel that holiness is too difficult, but Paul equates it with exchanging your nature much like you would change your garments.
