Today’s episode with Nilda Campuzano is very refreshing and inspiring. We talk about the key elements in creating a thriving life weather you are contemplating divorce, going through it, or have gone through it. Nilda was a stay at home mom for 13 years before her divorce. She had a very trying time in the process - having children to consider, her family being in another country, and being away from the workforce for so long. But as she took things one step at a time, everything started coming to place. And she is now seeing the light at the end of her tunnel. I hope this episode inspires you to gain clarity, ask for support, and really advocate for yourself and for your children. Don’t settle. Don't Park... Keep Moving. Here are some things we discuss: Do Not Isolate Yourself We all know the importance of staying connected and getting support. But as women are going through divorce, most feel that reaching out and opening up to people difficult and painful. Going through the process alone makes things very hard After emerging from self imposed isolation, you’ll find people waiting for you You need to have the support from people who have gone through what you are going through Know Your Reasons Divorce is such a rollercoaster. You will doubt yourself, your decisions, your actions. Being extremely clear with the reasons why you came to the decision and having a visual helps ground you in times of doubt. To gain clarity, you can meditate, journal, seek counsel, start gathering financial information and get your financial house in order. Be very clear in your head and in your heart Write down all the reasons behind your decision Post it where you can see them Nilda shares her 2 biggest commitments to herself and her children and how honoring these commitments and communicating it allowed for the support of other people. Wanting to Have a “Peaceful” Process Nilda shares how she took all the responsibility and left nothing for herself because of the guilt she felt around her divorce and in wanting a “peaceful” separation. Looking back, she reflects that being a little bit angry and advocating for herself more could have done her better. Always advocate for yourself and your children Do not settle for less than you deserve Boundaries are easier to establish in the beginning, but is still achievable if set in place later “Real peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the presence of justice.” ― Andrew W. Andrew W. Marlowe created something really wonderful with his show Castle. While the police procedural pairing up a unique character with special talents, with a by the book, no-nonsense cop is something TV viewers are accustomed to, both Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic brought something very special to Rick Castle and Kate Beckett. The strong acting, fun writing, and great storylines turned this police mystery show into an eight season fan favorite.

Who knew all this about Detective Kevin Ryan?! Wow! Certainly the #Castle showrunner Andrew W. Marlowe did and the writer of this Ryan-centric episode [long time Castle guru], Terence Paul Winter.  Through this murder we learned some very interesting back stories on Ryan – who’s past was NOT quite as simple as perhaps we thought. We learned he was deep undercover with the Irish mob before joining Beckett's team and even had a tumultuous pre-Jenny romance..  This episode was directed by Rob Hardy and regardless of the murder; I really REALLY wanted a cupcake long after the episode from eyeing them at the beginning. Hm, I wonder if those “non samples” were all just props and sprayed with multiple chemicals to look so delicious to us in their non-consumable state. On tonight’s STR we would love to hear what YOU thought about last night’s episode revolving around some of Kevin’s history and Jenny’s present life with him together. The bonus thread throughout the episode was learning of a positive shift in the confidence of Beckett in her relationship with Castle as demostrated by her fun teasing throughout resulting in new discovery about why Castle had the intense desire to write. Hope you can join us to talk about all this and those VERY thought provoking Caskett lines at the end of the episode. Alexis is in Paris?! How?! Why?! Who?! In Part 1 [Target], Castle and Martha are terrified. We watched Beckett helpless at what has happened and desperately wanting to focus on how to return Castle's little girl to them safely ~ even allowing Castle to interrogate a key suspect with the intention of getting the information no matter what it took. What will happen next in Part 2 [Hunt]? VERY happy 'Target' won the night in the ratings. 'Hunt' should be awesome ~ which was written by Andrew W. Marlowe and directed by Rob Bowman ~ who have never failed to bring all of us a truly suspensful story. Be sure to watch, Monday, Februay 25th, 10/9c on ABC.
