Taliesin Govannon is a writer, film-maker, and provacateur. He's also a popular speaker on the Pagan lecture circuit. The first time I ever heard of Taliesin was at the Starwood festival, where a friend came back from one his workshops and said "Jason he's a better presenter than you are." I was dumbfounded, no one is a better Pagan festival speaker than I am, but Tal comes pretty close. (I'm kidding, I'm not that good.) "Dark of Moon" is Taliesin's Pagan movie, and it's worth a watch just for the Doreen Valiente references alone. He's also a big heavy metal fan, so we should have fun chatting.
Full moon magick - New moon magick - Moon water magick? Tonight Phoenix and Gwion take a look at all different types of moon magic and why witches are drawn to cavorting under the full moon. There's also a side discussion about bottled essences where Gwion talks about his true feelings on the matter! The Witches Next Door are an ordinary Pagan couple who write books, do magick, opine greatly and run a little metaphysical shop too. Listen in. It's fun This episode does contain a few "f-bombs" so cover any delicate ears.

The Witches Next Door are an ordinary Pagan couple who teach magick, own a witch shop, deal with real world stuff just like everyone else, and in their spare time write books and blogs and host rituals.

One of the most common images at Samhain-tide is the skull. Most witches we know have skulls, antlers, bones, skins, and all sorts of former living things stashed abouot their homes. Why? What do we do with these curious objects The Witches Next Door are an ordinary Pagan couple who teach magick, own a witch shop, deal with real world stuff just like everyone else, and in their spare time write books and blogs and host rituals.
Join Hedera, Neve, and Bradwick as they discuss how the show is helping our community, go over "required" reading material for all Pagans, and Hedera shares some great back story and guided meditation.
When I have a question about Heathenry, I go to Ryan Smith. It's as simple as that. His book "The Way of Fire & Ice" is the "intro" book Heathenry has needed for the last twenty years. Ryan has also lived in Edignburgh Scotland (one of my favorite places), and has excellent taste in heavy metal music. We've also done a couple of rituals together that went exceedingly well. Join us as we chat about the state of the Pagan world, weeding out racists in Heathen spaces, and why doom metal is good for you.

Samhain is almost here! For The Witches Next Door, Samhain is a season not just one night. We start our Samhain practices in early October and carry them through right up to the WInter Solstice. Listen in and we'll tell you about our favourite Samhain-tide pratices. The Witches Next Door are an ordinary Pagan couple who teach magick, own a witch shop, deal with real world stuff just like everyone else, and in their spare time write books and blogs and host rituals.
Episode 3: The New Colossus - Incantation: Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, with conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name, Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these—the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" Emma Lazarus, 1883 We are tempest-tost, my beautiful nation, but we are anything but lost. Each and EVERY voice is a Revolution!
To put it simply, Meg Rosenbriar is changing the Witchcraft world. You may have not heard of her, but you undoubtedly will! Meg is one of the founders of Witch With Me, an online Witchcraft Community with a huge presence of Instagram (70,000 followers!), and she's helping put together "Gather the Witches" a huge virtual online festival that will take place October 24-25. She's also the author of "The Healing Power of Witchcraft: A New Witch's Guide to Spells and Rituals to Renew Yourself and Your World," which is really terrific (I was lucky enough to read an advance copy).
Pammit has the fire pit going and hot chocolate is her drink of choice today as the days grow cooler and the leaves change color Erin Lale, Author and Educator, will be joining us today. I met Najah in June of 2019, back in the long long ago when we could travel and actually meet other people face to face. I was in Denver for INATS, the International New Age Trade Show, and we were both signing books there, plus that's the area Najah lives in. Anyways, we really hit it off. I was enchanted and I don't use that word lightly. I was super looking forward to seeing Najah again at INATS in 2020, but fate had other plans. Speaking of INATS, Najah won an award from INATS in 2020 for Good Juju, beating out dozens of other books, including one of mine! We'll talk about her being a gracious winner and me being a poor loser, plus her terrific book, new projects she has coming up, and lots of other stuff.
Grab your favorite beverage and find a comfy spot on the porch This week Pammit welcomes modern day bard, Mama Gina. What does a bard do who cannot travel? Join us and find out how Mama Gina has been making the most of her time in Pandemic and how you can still enjoy her music.
No surprise here, I met Martha through Patheos Pagans. She started contributing to the Agora a few years ago as "The Corner Crone." Back then I was editing the Agora and we struck up a friendship through Facebook and shared emails. Eventually she took over the entire Agora, becoming both the editor and contiuing as a contributor. On this episode of the show we'll be chatting about againg in the Pagan Community, embracing the Crone, and practicing Witchcraft when your husband is a UU Minister.
Grab your favorite beverage. Relax however you wish. Draw the curtain and step out on the porch with Pammit and guests. This week Pammit and Llewellyn Author, Mortellus will talk about their book, "Do I Have to Wear Black?: Rituals, Customs & Funerary Etiquette for Modern Pagans " Also classes Mortellus teaches, blogs, and whatever other rabbit holes we dive down. Explore the myriad of customs that have emerged around death and dying in the magical and Pagan communities. Filled with rituals, meditations, legal considerations, and deep insights into death as a spiritual process, this book can be used by magical practitioners or shared with non-Pagan professionals who support Pagans in their final transitions. Within these pages, you will discover more than fifty rituals for funerals, memorials, and remembrances as well as meditations for mourning and letting go. Each chapter shares the beliefs and specific rituals of a distinct tradition, including British Traditional Wicca, Discordianism, Eclectic Wicca, Heathenry, Hellenic Reconstructionism, Kemetism, Neo-Druidry, and Thelema. With contributions from ten practitioners, Do I Have to Wear Black? delivers a multitude of magical rites and detailed explanations in one convenient practical manual.
I've known Debra probably before I even moved to California nearly ten years ago through my epxeriences at PantheaCon. She's been a tireless advocate and promoter of my writing, and I feel like I would not have gotten to where I'm at today without her. Anyways, Debra is really great, and a super talented writer. Before writing books for the likes of Llewellyn she worked in journalism for years, eventually becoming the editor of her local paper. I'll admit that I don't know much about horses, so I'm really excited to be talking to Deborah about them. In this episode of the podcast we'll be discussing her book, her practice, and the joys that were those absinthe parties at Pantheacon so long ago. I think this also might be Deborah's first Pagan-related podcast, so that should be fun! I might try and put her on the spot and make her say something embarassing about another author, or Llewellyn's book process! Nah, I won't do that, probably.
SJ Tucker has many many times to catch her, including festivals. One of those festivals is Hexenfest with Sharon Knight. Join Pammit, Sooj, and Sharon as we talk Hexenfest, online shows, and how concerts have changed for Pagan Music and its fans in the time of the pandemic
