Hello and thank you once again for joining us down at the crossroads for some music, magick, and Paganism. Where witches gather for the sabbath, offerings are made, pacts are signed for musical fame and we cross paths with today's most influential Pagans, occultists, and deep thinkers. I am your bewitching, bald headed, host Chris Orapello and tonight Tara and I meet with podcaster and author Lonnie Scott to discuss his path as a Chaonimist Heathen Sorcerer and more. Lonnie is the midwestern regional steward for The Troth and a future author with Llewellyn books. During the discussion we get into his involvement with Paganism and Heathenry, his experiences with the paranormal and hunting vampires, his first legit WTF moment, his involvement with The Troth, living in Saga Times, Problems within modern Heathenry, its Wiccan roots, and why Lonnie is a bad Heathen. This was an overdue yet frank discussion and we're finally glad to have Lonnie on the show and to address an area of modern practice that we've largely avoided until now. Now, along with our discussion we will be hearing music by Faun, Hey Satan, SJ Tucker, Langfinger, and Wardruna. (Click here for the complete show notes)

Welcome to this pre-Beltane and Samhain episode, Witches! To celebrate Belloween, Lucy explores some of her favourite handfasting scenes in movies and TV, and looks at some of the history and traditions of this sacred rite of two souls joining. In honour of Samhain in the north of the world, Lucy talks about taboos, death and dying with the woman who has been changing the way we work with this great gateway to the other side - Molly Deathtalker. Pagans need to get clearer, and better, at talking about how we die, and what to do when we - or people we love - are dying. This is a deep conversation that can help us all learn from one of the leading voices in the world on death, rites and ceremonies of death, and how to have an empowering, meaningful death in a world filled with humans that still can't face their own mortality . Then Lucy changes the beat to investigate the healing power of drums on our bodies, minds and spirits - and how drumming can help us all to change our brains at a deep, peaceful level in times of stress and anxiety. Songs are all very Beltane-oriented - by the divine SJ Tucker and the wondrous Wendy Rule. have a most blessed lead-in to this great festival of the Witches - and enjoy the Witchcast!
