Comments are open! After a 2 week delay that was 100% my fault, I am proud to deliver the latest episode of White Roof Radio. Getting started with news and MINIUSA on again off again manual transmission status is finally updated, for reals, to no longer offering a manual transmission on any of the models. Of course, details on getting one can be found at MotoringFileGabe also just wrapped up his stint with the worse named MINI in the history of MINI; The Untamed Edition. The short version you hear, for the full review, including video, can also be found at MF. By the way, Untamed is worse than Untold, don't listen to two weeks ago db, he was wrong. Moving on, we all agree that the R53 is the G.O.A.T. Chad does school us on some gotchas that can come along with owning an old MINI. Gabe is looking really hard at getting an R53, but that could change. What do you think he should get? Special thanks to the extra technical info provided by Chad! Are you looking for the sunroof drain fix? Detroit Tuned has your covered! From the archives, when we talked to Randy Webb during Woofcast 9 when Todd learned what adiabatic expansion was. By following that link, you will find that episode 9 has been restored! And, as mentioned, you really can't beat watching James May reassemble anything, especially a Honda Monkey.

For our final show of 2021, we spend more than a fair share of time talking about the leaked 2024 MINI SE photos and the rest of the time talking about electric cars in general. Plus, a few other stories from (MotoringFile.com)[motoringfile.com]. Oh, and we might have been drinking sometime during or before this episode. We finish off talking about Todd's new MINIs. As mentioned, this is the last episode of 2021. We do have an inteview with Mike Peyton from the LA Auto that Gabe did a few weeks ago that I'm going to be sharing with you, if you promise to use headphones. Also, there is an episode of Black Roof, if you know the secret hand shake. I am working on a better way to get that, coming very soon! All stories we talked about linked up below! Let's start by talking about Bridger's DQ at Thermal. I was there and can verify what the line judge saw. That is not to say that he did not have the quickest run of the day, because he did. Then lets remember The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, as we originally discussed during (yes, it's there). If you are new here, this is a great insight into the history of White Roof Radio. Since the last time we met, it was just Gabe and I at (now with updated audio, as promised!), we spent some time disucssing the cars we drove in more detail. Man, that M5CS was truly an amazing automobile! We also get some time to really talk about the updated MINI Cooper, which I thought was amazing! As mentioned above, the audio for Woofcast 676 has been updated, if you had a hard time listening. Winter tire show is forthcoming and, really, get back in the habit of listening until the end and make sure you are following on Twitter.
You probably already saw that Gabe and I were at BMW MINI Test Fest this week. We recorded some time in some very cool cars, but, most importantly, we got an interview with Mike Peyton and our pal Pat McKenna. I wanted to get this out to you guys quickly. Next show might be delayed because Todd is going to SEMA and you know he is taking his recording gear! Photos can be found and Instagram accounts. And we will be talking JCW and electric MINI when we come back!
So, wrong show number not withstanding, this is Woofcast 675 and we do not mess around, getting right to it. The lack of window controls on the F56 in the center, not needing to double pull door handles and Gabe with his software issues. Oh, and electronic e-brake. Pour one out for the reverse J-Turn. On to a bunch of Ask Chad. Like, mods, mods, MODS! We know we need to come back to this further, and we will. But this was a great place for us to start! Especially remembering about doing a rear sway bar upgrade. Roxy had that and it was an amazing mod #becauseRaceCar. Thank you to everyone for taking the survey! We really appreciate it. It has been closed, but if you are interested in checking out the results, they are still live for a bit longer using the link in the last 2 shows.
Y'all came this close (db pinches fingers) to getting an actual gin show this week. Instead, Gabe was able to join us so we talked about MINI stuff instead! Let us know by downloading the and get into the chat. Once you get it installed on your mobile device, use the code whiteroofradio (all one word) to get in!
A little reminiscing, a little news and catching up with Chad and the last few events in Michigan, including the last Dream Cruise and MINIs on the Mac! 2 events that everyone needs to add to their 2020 and 2021 calendars! As mentioned, please stop linking up crappy products on Amazon and eBay. Most everything you need for your MINI can be found at and . Anything you buy from them can be installed at and Todd will make it look hot with custom graphics from . You have to listen to the entire show, but we are looking for anyone that would be interested in a Vegas meetup. Comments are open, who's in? And, for you those of you that aren't subscribed to , you missed some really talk about the upcoming GP. Token to be removed later: 6BZ2aCq64lRSjTPnkg3L
We talk electric cars, high end English cars and skateboards with clear wheels. Plus, for those of you that missed it, I did manage to fix the top on my roadster! Links on the key topics below. Instagram hashtags that we dig and think you should follow! As always, comments are open!
A shorter than normal show this week that is also oddly shaped. Trying to get something while the gettin' was good. Todd and Gabe were available for about 45 minutes, so one short show it is! Quite a bit more GP talk, along with questioning the difference in power output for the GP models. Gabe is pro, Todd and I are con. What say you? If you are looking for the random JCW GP video I mentioned, you can find that over at . Quick reminder gang; we know you really enjoy using Facebook. Here's the thing; when you leave those awesome comments over there, it's like talking in an empty room. Nobody sees those comments. Gabe doesn't see them. Todd doesn't see them. I don't see them. MINI and MINIUSA don't see them. If you want your voice to be heard, make sure you are leaving those comments at or
It has been a while since we have made a show, and we haven't made many shows so far for 2019. Listen in; stuff has been going on which has been keeping us from making a show. Todd is going to get a GP, Gabe hates 4 spoke wheels and Chad Likes ham and I have finally figured out how to drive an automatic. I know I said back in , it has taken me this long to figure it out. We discuss the upcoming GP, the new Electric MINI, the current MotoringFile company car, sales and more. Just 4 dudes talking about MINI Cooper stuff, like we like to do. Please remember the fine sponsors under the White Roof! , , and . Todd even has a special discount code for the rest of summer for you guys!
Detroit Tuned is doing video, Gabe posted some stories to that you should read, but we aren't talking about that this week. We start off with shout-outs to our girl Crazy Susan with her crazy odometer readings for a CVT and Xiek, who cracked FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND kilometers on his Canadian MINI! That's more miles than Roxy, for the record! Well done sir! I drive an F56, we compare rattles in our MINIs and Chad is and getting ready to go the dragon. We really think you are going to enjoy this show! If you are going to the Dragon and want Chad and Marzo to do some work on your car, you still have time to book that. Email address is in the show, but make sure you do that ASAP! For those of you that called us out for the poor sound quality in the last episode, thank you! We knew it and posted it anyway. That won't happen again. When you get a minute, check out the fine sponsors under the White Roof; and . They really keep us going and have been a proud supporter of both WRR and MotoringFile since 2005, if not sooner! And don't keep these guys to yourself. Share with your friends, club members, facebook, etc...
A quick note to the affliates; we do go long this week*. Todd wraps a Toyota, Gabe gets us pulled from YouTube and Chad is trying to sell out of purses. It has been a bit since we last did a show, so we had some catching up to do. New JCW Motor, a lot of transmission talk, a lot of talk about electric and some talk about sales. And the future of the internal combustion engine. And, and, and, and. Like I mentioned, it's been a while since we did a show, so we had some catching up to do. This delay has been my fault. I was busy buying and moving into a house. That process has been completed and we will be back on track with 2 shows per month for you guys going forward. Along with that, please watch this space as I have some plans for things that I am going to need your help with. Don't forget the fine sponsors here either. for everything that you need for your MINI and your person that is MINI related. for the coolest, custom created accessories for your MINI, for all of your graphics and, of course, for everything else, including full service repairs and custom tuning for your MINI (and other cars too!). *Listen to the end for bonus out-takes!
Random Logan's Run references notwithstanding, we do talk about MINI stuff for this, our first episode of 2019. Welcome to our 15th year of podcasting excellence! We did discuss a few things or I said I would link a few things, so here they are. If you belong to the club, you have homework. Get logged in and get to it! If you aren't a member of that club, here's the deal; If you want to help support White Roof Radio, this is your way to do that. It's slow going, but we are working toward being completely listener supported (which would be no more ads!). If you think that sounds cool, help us out and in doing so, you get 2 extra episodes every month! UPDATE - If you already downloaded this, it has been removed from your device. You can skip ahead to about the 39 minute mark to pick up where the previous version quit. Sorry for the trouble.
Woofcast 652: I don't know how to drive an Automatic Last show of 2018 has Gabe, Todd and myself talking about Gabe's interview with Pat McKenna, the upcoming 2020 JCW GP, upcoming other JCW models and a ton more! If you haven't listened to the interview with Pat yet, you should and be sure to comment . Remember gang, besides Facebook being evil, if you want those comments and feedback seen by anyone at BMW or MINI, comment at MotoringFile! You still have time left to visit any of the fine sponsors under the White Roof before Christmas! All of them have a special or something, please check them all out! We all hope you have an amazing holiday, no matter which one you celebrate and looking forward to talking to you again in 2019!
Gabe gets the chance to speak with Pat McKenna, head of Marketing for MINI USA and long time friend of the show. We have all already listened to this interview, at least 3 times! This is conversation you have been waiting for! Be sure to click over to to offer any feedback or questions. We will make sure they are seen!
For this, our final show of 2018 (unless something cool happens we want to tell you about), we talk about the upcoming GP (you know Todd will get one), snow tires with Gabe, a little MINI history, an update from Gabe on the MF JCW Countryman and a little bit of news. Be sure to stick around to the end for something cool. I can't say anymore than that, but trust us, it's cool! And, this week's show art brought to you by JoAnne. Say hi to Duce! We hope everyone has a great holiday season! We will talk to you again in 2019!
Talking about mods for Hank and weather in Arizona to get us started. Todd tests the MINI Crash Avoidance System which drives us down the nanny feature rabbit hole and some of the best ways to find out how these features work in your car. Oh, and watch how well this driver corrected himself during a crash on the 'Ring . And then we end up down the track day/driving school/top down rabbit hole. Ending with one of my favorite websites that I think you guys will dig; . Be sure to check out this . Oh, and check out the that was at Detroit Tuned last week! This week's featured image comes from the , where Chuck shared this fine photo of his Bitsy Mae on the dragon from earlier this year. Thanks for the photo Chuck! Finally, we are on Jim Petersen tire watch. For those of you that are east of the Rockies, that means almost cold weather tire season. We discuss that a bit plus tips if your TPM sensors have been going off. It is a milestone show, so a quick shout-out to you guys for listening almost to the end of every show and even listen through the ad reads. THAT IS AWESOME! We have the best podcast listeners for all podcasts and really appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you so much for being awesome and holding us to a particular level of awesome as well!
Gabe reminds us how much he hates Apple Car play in this weeks , so we continue talking about Car Play on the positive for you guys here. We think it's been especially better since you can now use Google Maps/Waze with Car Play! Continuing the free form show with actual MINI talk from the latest to the originals. Some good stuff in here for you this week, we think you'll dig it! And, if you are looking for the buyers guide for first generation MINIs, Gabe and I did one for a few years back. We still stand by it. Don't forget to check out the new and Todd has new stuff coming very soon to , so keep an eye out for that. And, finally, don't forget to follow and on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for funny stuff, specials and new product!
