growing up you have your family to help you if you get sick. but your're and adult post university and want to live that first world working person life. what I would tell anyone coming out of university is to do a health check to see if you have any of the ailments that you grew up with. in your early years it feels like the most dumbest purchases of course because you have so little money barely can make a travel to X without making the bank etc. in these years, but having that check would save you a lot of money in the years you are not making money as you can reconfirm if you have any of the health issues you had growing up (or new ones if lucky) and you can do basic things (like wearing a mask in dust area when roads are being built) to prevent your health from affecting you in your low or non-income years.

In this episode, I give you a transparent, behind-the-scenes look at a major strategic shift at Membership Academy: why I decided to discontinue our lowest-priced membership tier.I dive deep into the challenges, member feedback, and business data that informed this big decision.I share the lessons learned, the impact on our community and sales, and why simplifying our offerings makes more sense for both our members and our business as we move forward. If you're considering multiple membership tiers, or are curious about evolving your pricing strategy, this episode unpacks it all.In this episode:What prompted the initial move to a two-tier membership strategy at Membership Academy, and what were those tiers? What unexpected challenges and downsides did introducing a lower-priced tier create for both the business and members? How did having multiple tiers affect member retention, sales performance, and customer experience over time? Why did I ultimately decide to revert to a single-tier membership, and how was this transition communicated to existing members?Key Quotes & Takeaways:"They join on the lesser membership tier so they don't get all the great things that will ensure that they are as successful as they can be. And then they look at their membership and say, oh, well, I haven't had the success I wanted, so why would I upgrade?""As the membership industry, and indeed the online education industry, changes and evolves, with the proliferation of AI, with the shift away from search engines to answer engines that are powered by AI, as all these new challenges face us coming into the next five, ten years and beyond, then memberships are going to need an entirely different level, an entirely different kind of support.""But what it's done is it's created that clarity, it's removed that friction, it's taking confusion out of the joining process because a confused mind doesn't buy.""Making that pivot, making that change has been a big decision, but a one that I'm extremely confident is the right one for where we want to take the academy going forward."Thank You For ListeningWe really appreciate you choosing to listen to us and for supporting the podcast. Employee recognition might sound obvious, but why do so many leaders miss it in practice? Dr. Bob Nelson joins Sarah Lockwood to explains why low-cost recognition ideas often matter more than paychecks or perks when it comes to real employee motivation. How do you create loyalty from day one with a new hire? What's the difference between a generic end-of-year award and genuine recognition that lands in the moment? And how can asking employees for their ideas spark both engagement and business growth? Dr. Nelson brings decades of research and real-world examples to these questions, offering workplace culture tips that work whether you're leading a small team or a global workforce. He shows that recognition doesn't have to be expensive, but it does have to feel thoughtful and consistent if you want it to change company culture. How do you create high-value perception with a skeptical client? Why do so many clients think creative work is worth so little, or that we're charging too much? It seems they tend to look for the cheapest option. Attracting high value clients you can work with over the long term requires a change in focus and approach. While platforms like Canva and tech like AI are impacting opportunities for new projects, what we creatives need to focus on is how clients perceive our craft and our roles. In this episode Alvalyn tackles ways freelancers can position and differentiate in order to attract and keep high value clients.
Thomas Hayes sees opportunity in the current market despite some warning signs. He attributes the current market strength to sectors beyond the Mag 7, such as small caps and energy, which he believes are undervalued. In the A.I. space, Thomas is particularly bullish on Alibaba (BABA), citing its significant A.I. spending plans and valuation relative to peers. He also likes Intel (INTC), which he believes will benefit from the U.S. government's investment in the company's semiconductor business. Additionally, Thomas is optimistic about Comstock (CR), a smaller player in the natural gas space, which he thinks could be a multi-bagger due to its strong reserves and favorable location.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – / schwabnetwork Follow us on Facebook – / schwabnetwork Follow us on LinkedIn - / schwab-network About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about

OpenAI has just launched a special, India-only plan for ChatGPT. It makes access cheaper here than almost anywhere else in the world. At first, it looks like a win for millions of Indians who'll get to try cutting-edge AI at a fraction of the cost. But for India's AI startups, it may be a different story. Competing with global giants that have billions in capital, access to compute, and a head start on scale is already tough. Add aggressive pricing, and the playing field gets even steeper. After all, if Indians aren't paying with money, they're likely paying with something else: data and usage. So where does that leave Indian AI? Can startups like Sarvam, Krutrim, and others still carve out a niche through language, verticals, or local trust or will they be reduced to distributors for the biggies?Find our last episode on Sarvam here. You're here for the cheapest flights to Europe. In this video, you use Google Flights (map view) to spot low priced round-trip gateways—often Dublin—then stack one-way nonstop hops each day to see as many locations as you can. You'll lock your round-trip first, account for +1 day overnight arrivals, and leave a 2–3 hour cushion between flights. Then you'll “fill in the gaps” with cheap intra-Europe legs (Rome, Kefalonia, Barcelona, Greek islands) while tracking prices, flight numbers, and links so you can pounce when fares dip. Track everything and organize easily by using Apple Notes. You can also load your flight numbers in Flighty and get regular updates on everything on your itinerary. For lodging, you'll search near the main train station to cut transfers and costs—think FCO → Termini in 27 minutes (~€14). You'll travel backpack-only to avoid baggage fees and pick places with laundry so a small bag works for the whole trip.Put it together and you'll pull off a fast, flexible Euro sprint for about $1,300 in flights and $1,200 in stays (before food). Watch, copy the filters, and book the deals while they're hot.Opening song “Chiptune Fighter" written by SCOREWIZARDS.All production by Cody Maxwell.Opening graphic assets by motionstate.sharkfyn.commaxwellskitchenpodcast.com

“Nobody would deploy AI without internet—so why aren't MSPs treating connectivity as mission-critical?” — Ken Totura, Massive Networks Technology Reseller News caught up with Ken Totura, Chief Channel Officer at Massive Networks, during GTIA's ChannelCon 2025 at the Opryland Resort in Nashville. In this fast-paced podcast with publisher Doug Green, Totura lays out a powerful call to action: it's time for MSPs to stop outsourcing the WAN. Totura argues that the telecom industry has fallen short—not in infrastructure but in experience. While carriers build exceptional networks, the interface with customers and partners too often breaks down. That's where Massive Networks steps in, delivering high-quality, secure wide-area connectivity with white-glove service and a partner-first approach. “We want to be part of the solution,” says Totura. “We came from the channel. We've been customers. We know what's broken—and we're fixing it.” Totura urges MSPs to stop treating internet and WAN as someone else's job. Just like MSPs manage desktops, endpoints, and LANs, they must start managing the WAN to deliver truly seamless, end-to-end IT solutions. Key points from the conversation: Massive Networks offers carrier-grade services with direct customer invoicing, support, and SLAs—leveraging 60 million fiber-lit buildings globally. Their proprietary platform simplifies global connectivity by unifying cloud, SaaS, and data center links through a single console. The "Lit Building Locator" app enables partners to instantly verify fiber availability without registration. Differentiator: Unlike aggregators, Massive injects its own services into the last mile—ensuring performance, support, and control remain in-house. Totura compares telecom's moment to the rise of AI. Just as MSPs are now integrating AI into offerings, they must similarly integrate connectivity—because every app, service, and solution depends on it. “Cheapest isn't always the least expensive,” says Totura. “If you're not talking about quality internet and WAN, you're doing your customers a disservice.” To learn more, visit https://www.massivenetworks.com.
The K9PT Academy Podcast: Business lessons for canine rehab therapists
Welcome to The K9PT Academy podcast, the only podcast in veterinary rehabilitation & physical therapy that focuses on helping business owners and entrepreneurs build and scale a profitable and successful canine rehabilitation business! As the field of canine rehabilitation continues to grow, so does the competition—but that's not a bad thing. In this episode, I reflect on why competition is actually good for our profession and how the real opportunity lies in standing out by creating an exceptional customer experience. I walk through what it takes to differentiate your business in today's landscape—from refining your marketing message to developing a customer journey that resonates long before a client steps into your clinic. Listen to the full episode as we discuss: Competition fuels innovation and helps increase awareness of canine rehab within the veterinary and pet communities. Growth only comes to those willing to evolve—especially in their marketing, client experience, and pricing strategy. There's no such thing as “the best cheapest option”—you must charge appropriately for the level of service people actually want. Customer experience begins before the first appointment—it starts with your marketing, messaging, and the first interaction (like a phone call or website visit). A compelling intake call can turn a skeptical lead into an eager client—and that starts with clarity and connection. Marketing is your biggest competitive advantage—not just clinical skills or fancy equipment. Your business must evolve from how rehab marketing has traditionally been done—the next 20 years require a new approach. Don't center your message on convenience (like being mobile)—focus on communicating your value. To stand out, create a cohesive customer journey that builds trust, educates, and delivers exceptional care. Are you interested in learning more about our K9Rehab Marketing platform? This week is all about the history of salt! Yes, salt. You've probably never given it much thought. It sits in a salt shaker on your kitchen counter, spice rack, or cabinet. You can buy a pound of it for 76 cents at Walmart right now. But, believe it or not, salt was once an extremely valuable commodity. Whole civilizations rose up over salt. Trade routes were established. People became very wealthy. Salt allowed for the preservation of food which allowed humans to travel over long distances. It has invaluable medicinal properties. And, at it's most basic level, salt keeps humans bodies alive. Salt has impacted human history arguably more than any other substance on Earth. Join me to learn how! Support the show! U.S. aid helped Eswatini and Lesotho, two small countries in southern Africa, in their efforts to treat and curb the spread of HIV. Will President Trump's "America First" foreign policy threaten years of progress there against the virus? In this bonus episode, we're featuring an extended conversation between Darian Woods and Jon Cohen, senior correspondent with Science magazine. They talk about Jon's reporting trip to Eswatini and Lesotho in May and the early impacts he saw of the Trump administration's foreign aid cuts. We also hear about the critical role of PEPFAR (the U.S. President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief) in the global response to HIV/AIDS and some other things we couldn't fit into the original episode. You can read Jon's recent article in Science magazine here.To hear more bonus episodes like this, and get Planet Money and The Indicator without sponsor messages, support the show by signing up for Planet Money+. "$3 is the new $2," says GasBuddy's Patrick DeHaan. He calls this Fourth of July holiday the "cheapest" since the pandemic but warns prices can vary greatly depending on where you're driving. Robert Sinclair, Jr. also points to "record" holiday travel expected for the weekend. Those records apply to cruises as well despite price hikes across the industry.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.
