In this Dailycast episode, Chris Maitland and Justin McClelland are always ready to face down heatwaves and questionable booking to review NWA's Alwayz Ready. We analyze the NWA's solution to Matt Cardona's injury – a four way title match, which isn't a terrible solution in a no-win situation. We look at the Homicide's dual wins, a rare watchable-Tyrus match against Mims, a really great match between Kamille and Kylinn King and all the other matches and angles from NWA's June spectacular. Then for VIP wrestling, we travel to Dayton Ohio for a couple of matches from Wrestling Revolver's Stranger Thangs, specifically Jon Moxley vs Mike Bailey and Prisoners of Society vs Infrared vs The Dad Scouts in a three way title match.
After touching upon the latest breaking news concerning the Vince McMahon scandal and Sasha Banks reportedly receiving her release from WWE to open WrestleRant Radio, Graham "GSM" Matthews airs his exclusive interview with now-former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona from before Alwayz Ready talking all about the event, his time in the NWA so far and winning the world title, enjoying his heel run right now and how it came about through GCW, how he defines success, his relationship with Vince McMahon and a text he received from him recently, the possibility of him returning to WWE and if his current character would work there, working for IMPACT, and more! GSM and RJ Marceau then discuss Jeff Hardy's sad situation regarding the AEW star getting arrested again, why there's no excuse for actions and needing immediate help, his status in AEW and if he'll be back, and if it'd be in his best interest to walk away from wrestling for good. They're also talking Paige announcing her upcoming departure from WWE and if she'll wrestle again elsewhere, updates on the fields for the men's and women's Money in the Bank Ladder matches, Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle on SmackDown, Gunther capturing the Intercontinental Championship, Giovanni Vinci's NXT debut, Cameron Grimes challenging Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship at The Great American Bash, and what to expect when Elias returns to Raw to join Ezekiel next Monday night.
As usual we starts with Cheeks Of The Week to get are spirits high. There is so much big news coming from every corner and crevice of the wrestling business, we might not fit it all in. Jeff Hardy's latest DUI. The brand new AEW All-Atlantic Championship proves Tony Khan failed geography. Backstage poltics holding up booking for AEW and NJPW's Forbidden Door. Will O'spreay's thoughts on the matter. Speculation on why Jay White won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Due to Matt Cardona's injury, what happened to his self branded NWA PPV event Alwayz Ready? More strange Vince McMahon habits. Paige says her final goodbye to the WWE Universe and Alberto Del Rio never stops stroking his own ego. Ronda Rousey shoots on the lockeroom again and John Cena's 20 year celebration. A preview of IMPACT's Slammiversary. The ongoing saga of Ultra Fantasy Booking.
Today on The Faction, we recap a VERY busy weekend of pro wrestling. We take a look at the NWA's latest PPV offering titled Alwayz Ready. New Japan Pro Wrestling brings us their Dominion event which has a direct impact on the upcoming Forbidden Door joint PPV with AEW and New Japan. We also look at Battleslam: Fight for ATL, which made its LIVE PPV debut this weekend. Plus, what's the latest information on Jeff Hardy? How will his latest brush with the law impact his standing with AEW? Share your thoughts on this and more by using the hashtag #TheFactionShow. Follow us at @TheFactionShow. Editor's Note: This interview was conducted prior to Matt Cardona's bicep injury. We wish the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion a speedy recovery. The current National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World's Heavyweight Champion, Matt Cardona has not only lived up to his moniker of being, ‘Alwayz Ready‘, he has even gotten a Pay Per View (PPV) named after himself. The ‘Alwayz Ready‘ PPV takes place at the Knoxville Convention Center, in Knoxville, Tennessee on FiteTV this Saturday, June 11, 2022.. “As World's Heavyweight Champion, Matt Cardona insisted that if he was to be compelled to go to a storied NWA territory like Knoxville, Tennessee and defend the championship, he would only appear if the June 11th PPV was in his honor,” said NWA President, William Patrick Corgan. “This event, named after his singular catchphrase ‘Alwayz Ready', will feature his entrance music as the show's sole theme, and all promotional materials therein will include his brand and likeness; including no less than a modified NWA logo which now reads MCWA (Matt Cardona Wrestling Alliance.) Now all that's left is for the champion to be ready to live up to his requests.” Although Cardona is claiming that he is the only NWA World's Heavyweight Champion to ever have a PPV named after him, he is forgetting that Ric Flair had the, ‘Flair for the Gold,' Cardona has proven himself to be the world's best, whether we like it or not. One person who is not too fond of the current champion, is former TNA/IMPACT Knockout's Champion and Tag Team Champion, Velvet Sky, who joined the NWA commentary team a little less than a year ago. She makes up the three person team with Joe Galli and former NWA World's Heavyweight Champion, Tim Storm. Sky discusses retirement, joining the NWA following having worked with Corgan at IMPACT Wrestling, her show Velvet After Dark and how the legacy of the oldest promotion in North America still lives up to the standards that have been held up by the NWA for over 75 years. Tickets are on salw at NWATix.com with various pricing from VIP down to general admission. The event will air live on FITE for $24.99 individually, and is included in the $49.99 NWA All Access annual pass available at https://www.fite.tv/join/nwa-powerrr/. The Knoxville Convention Center will also host an additional NWA taping at 4 pm the day following the PPV with matches to be broadcast on subsequent weeks on FITE TV. More information on ALWAYZ READY, including marquee matches and confirmed talent appearing, will be announced over the coming weeks via social media and the flagship NWA Powerrr program airing Tuesdays at 6:05 pm est on FITE and YouTube Fridays at 6:05 pm est. #NWA #NWAPowerrr #NWAUSA #VelvetSky #AlwayzReady #Interview #ProWrestling #FanboyNation
On this episode of The Alliance Guys Podcast… In celebration of hitting One Thousand Subscribers, tonight we're giving away either a replica of the Ten Pounds of Gold or the Royal Crown Championship. We can't wait to announce the winner. We will talk about the news and information coming out of the NWA, including the Worlds Heavyweight Champion in a sling. We'll talk about 365 days of Kamille. And we'll talk about the World Tag Team Champions in the UK. We'll do a much briefer recap of POWERRR and USA as we will also preview Alwayz Ready! Will you join us?

Editor's Note: This interview was conducted prior to Matt Cardona's bicep injury. We wish the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion a speedy recovery. Current National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World's Heavyweight Champion, Matt Cardona has not only lived up to his moniker of being, ‘Alwayz Ready‘, he has even gotten a Pay Per View (PPV) named after himself. The ‘Alwayz Ready‘ PPV takes place at the Knoxville Convention Center, in Knoxville, Tennessee on FiteTV this Saturday, June 11, 2022. When asked for his thoughts on the honor being bestowed upon him, Matt Cardona declared “Did Ric Flair ever have an event named after him? No. Did Harley Race? Never. As the only REAL World's Champion I am honored to have this event named after me because I earned this all by myself. Everyone should know they have to be a part of this once in a lifetime event to share in me elevating the NWA to new greatness.” Although Cardona is claiming that he is the only NWA World's Heavyweight Champion to ever have a PPV named after him, he is forgetting that Ric Flair had the, ‘Flair for the Gold.' Cardona has proven himself to be the world's best, whether we like it or not as no other champion has had their theme music be used solely for a PPV. I spoke with former NWA's World Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm, about the NWA's 'Alwayz Ready' PPV, being apart of a three person team with Joe Galli and former TNA/IMPACT Knockout's Champion and Tag Team Champion, Velvet Sky. Storm discusses the significance of the NWA as it involves professional wrestling, his 15 years with the company and the foundations of the industry lead up to this very moment. Tickets are on salw at NWATix.com with various pricing from VIP down to general admission. The event will air live on FITE for $24.99 individually, and is included in the $49.99 NWA All Access annual pass available at https://www.fite.tv/join/nwa-powerrr/. NWA Women's World Champion Kamille speaks with WrestleZone about her next title defense against KiLynn King at NWA Alwayz Ready, her title reign approaching a year in length, when the Forbidden Door makes sense, Tasha Steelz calling her out for a match, training with Bully Ray and much more.

This week on Under The Ring, Phil Strum is joined by Matt Cardona, to discuss the NWA pay-per-view named after him, Alwayz Ready, on June 11 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He also discusses his career path and his love of wrestling figures. Note: This interview was recorded before Cardona suffered a torn biceps, but he is still scheduled to appear at the NWA show.
On this "podblast" episode of the SS, Scott rides solo to talk Matt Cardona's injury, Powerrrtrip 2 and an updated Alwayz Ready card, including an NXT alum returns to the indies! So sit back for this express episode of the Saturday Special!
On this episode of The Alliance Guys Podcast… Although definitely injured, although he definitely requires surgery, Matt Cardona has defied the doctor's orders and put the surgery off until Tuesday following Alwayz Ready. And no official announcement canceling the match makes it seem that the title match is still on. Also… on another note (which I'm sure has zero to do with the 1st announcement), Bubba Ray Dudley will in fact be at both nights in Kentucky. Dudley's Team 3D school is responsible for the initial training for both King and Kamille, who'll compete at Alwayz Ready. Dudley will be in the booth on Night 1 and will be the “MC” for night 2 in Knoxville. Can we start speculating how Bully Ray will be involved? Plus we'll recap, retcon, review, and reconsider all things NWA as we break down both NWA USA and NWA POWERRR.
On today's Busted Open, Dave LaGreca, Mickie James & Tommy Dreamer talk to AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky in a must listen interview about his career and where it is headed. Plus, we get breaking news from both NWA Owner Billy Corgan and NWA World Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona that will re-shape the landscape of their pay-per-view, “NWA Alwayz Ready”.
On the newest episode of the SS, Scott & Dr. G recap the past week's programming. They discuss Colby Corino, The Mortons, Cardona vs. Aldis, and more! They update the Alwayz Ready PPV card, including 2 new matches announced! Then they end with a discussion on the WWE/Stephanie McMahon news.
