Eventually The Difficult Things Become Easy.. Then EVERYTHING Changes
Send us Fan MailA quiet home. Two expectant mothers. One simple greeting. Then the Gospel tells us something astonishing: John the Baptist leaps for joy, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, recognizes the Messiah before the world sees anything at all. We slow down and linger with the Visitation (Luke 1:39-45) to uncover why this “hidden” moment sits at the heart of Catholic spirituality, Marian devotion, and the way God works through ordinary encounters. We talk about why Mary goes “with haste” and why that haste is not panic, but charity. Mary's journey into the hill country becomes a map for Christian discipleship: we receive Christ, then we move outward in love. It raises a practical question that cuts through busy schedules and good intentions: when a need appears, do we delay or do we serve? The Visitation shows how real holiness often looks like quiet presence, timely help, and humble faithfulness rather than big public moments. We also explore Elizabeth's praise, John's leap, and the Church's deep connection between this scene and the Hail Mary. From there, we follow the episode's Eucharistic thread: before there were golden tabernacles in churches, there was Mary, the first living tabernacle, carrying Jesus into someone else's life. The reflection ends with the Magnificat, Mary's song of praise, and an invitation to let God's promises reshape how we see ourselves: small, loved, and called to carry Christ into the world one encounter at a time. In this deeply honest interview, Debra Silverman joins Emilio Ortiz on Just Tap In Podcast to explore what most astrologers aren't saying about this moment in human history. Debra explains that humanity is moving through a profound transition. With Uranus entering Gemini for the first time in 70 years and Pluto now in Aquarius, she describes this era as a radical restructuring of consciousness itself. Beyond astrology, this conversation dives into fear, vulnerability, and the emotional reality humanity keeps avoiding. What unfolds is both a warning and an invitation. Debra explains how humanity is splitting between those adapting to change and those overwhelmed by it, and why the difference comes down to self-awareness and emotional honesty. From AI becoming the new “electricity” to the collapse of outdated systems and identities, she describes a world being reborn in real time. At the center of it all is a simple truth: kindness, presence, and connection to the Earth are the anchors that will guide us through. This conversation explores the return of the feminine, the reinvention of the masculine, astrology as soul medicine, and the deeper purpose behind human experience. It's about learning how to stay human while everything changes.___________________PODCAST CHAPTERS00:00 – Debra Silverman Intro05:00 - Riding the Wave vs. Drowning in Change05:45 - Why Self-Awareness Determines Your Timeline08:07 - The Practice of Falling Apart10:08 - Radical Honesty, Vulnerability, Human Connection11:45 - Uranus in Gemini: The Biggest Shift in 70 Years13:04 - AI as the New “Electricity” (Historical Parallel)14:35 - Pluto in Aquarius & The Rise of a New World16:25 - The Human vs. AI Dilemma (Don't Lose Your Soul)17:43 - A Prayer for Humanity's Future19:24 - Earth Day Message20:01 - The Return of the Feminine Principle21:57 - The Collapse of the Old Patriarchal System26:10 - The Importance of Staying Connected to the Earth27:11 - America's Uranus Return & Global Upheaval29:45 - The Meaning of Radical Change in the U.S. & World31:38 - Old Systems Are Collapsing33:50 - Ancient Practices Returning to Guide Humanity34:07 - Legacy: What Will We Leave Behind?35:59 - How to Discover Your Soul Blueprint Through Astrology37:24 - What “Auspicious Times” Really Means39:19 - Astrology as Medicine for the Soul41:35 - The Illusion of Suffering & Life's Hidden Purpose42:41 - What Happens After We Leave This Life?44:12 - Is Life Already Written? In this episode of Made to be a Kingdom, Fathers Anthony Perkins and Harry Linsenbigler explore how Pascha functions as the Church's great “reset,” reordering the liturgical year and illuminating the rhythm of Scripture and worship. Beginning with the proclamation of the Word in Gospel of John and the witness of Acts of the Apostles, they trace how the Church reads the Resurrection through the weeks of Paschaltide, culminating in Ascension and Pentecost. The conversation highlights how the healing narratives—such as the Paralytic, the Samaritan Woman, and the Man Born Blind—reveal the Resurrection already at work in the life of the faithful. Grounded in hymnography and liturgical practice, this episode offers a pastoral and theological guide to living the “fifty days” as a sustained participation in the light and life of the risen Christ. Enjoy the show!
EP 144: When Everything Changes Overnight: Corie Blount on Fighting for His Son, CJ Episode Description: On this episode of This Thing Called Life, former University of Cincinnati standout and 11-year NBA veteran Corie Blount shares a deeply personal story far beyond the game. His 25-year-old son, CJ, went from a simple headache and fatigue to a life-altering diagnosis: dangerously high blood pressure and severe kidney disease. With no family history, the news came out of nowhere. Now on dialysis, CJ is waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant as Corie and their family begin the emotional journey of seeing who might be a match. This conversation is about more than basketball, it's about fatherhood, resilience, and what it means to show up when everything shifts in an instant. Corie also reflects on life after the NBA—from co-hosting Legends Unplugged with Terry Nelson to his work on the Bob Huggins documentary. It's an honest, powerful look at how quickly life can change and the strength it takes to fight for the people you love. Episode Highlights Host Andi Johnson welcomes former NBA player Corie Blount, whose connection to both the University of Cincinnati and the organ donation community brings depth and perspective to the conversation. Corie reflects on his basketball journey—from his time at the University of Cincinnati to an 11-year NBA career playing alongside legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and Scottie Pippen. He shares his deep connection to Cincinnati, describing it as home and a place that continues to shape his life beyond basketball. The conversation shifts as Corie opens up about his son CJ's sudden health crisis, which began with what seemed like minor symptoms—headaches and fatigue—but quickly escalated. After being taken to the emergency room, CJ was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure and severe kidney failure, leaving the family in shock. Corie candidly describes the emotional impact of the diagnosis and the steep learning curve his family faced in understanding kidney disease, dialysis, and transplant options. CJ is now undergoing dialysis treatments while awaiting a kidney transplant, and Corie shares how the family has rallied together to support him physically and emotionally. Despite the challenges, CJ continues to show strength, positivity, and resilience, even after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in business. Corie emphasizes the importance of being present as a family, recalling how loved ones stayed by CJ's side in the hospital to ensure he never felt alone. He shares his willingness to become a donor himself and speaks about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle—both for donors and recipients. The episode highlights the importance of organ donation awareness, particularly the need for more people to consider living donation. Andi explains how simple it is to begin the donor testing process, often starting with a basic mouth swab. The conversation introduces the concept of paired kidney exchange, where donors who are not a direct match can still help save lives through a matching network. Corie expresses gratitude for organizations like Network for Hope, which help educate families and guide them through the transplant journey. Beyond his family's story, Corie shares updates on his life after basketball, including his podcast “Legends Unplugged” and involvement in the Bob Huggins documentary. The episode concludes with a powerful call to action—encouraging listeners to get informed, consider donation, and support families navigating similar challenges. Key Takeaways Health Crises Can Happen Without Warning CJ's story is a reminder that serious health conditions can develop unexpectedly, even without a known family history—making awareness and regular checkups essential. Support Systems Make All the Difference In moments of crisis, the presence of family, community, and trusted organizations provides strength, stability, and hope. Organ Donation Saves Lives—and Starts With Awareness From simple testing to paired exchanges, understanding the donation process can open doors to life-saving opportunities for those in need. Tweetable Quotes “I have an indebtedness of gratitude to the city and the university, and that's why I'm still here, and this is home now.” Corie Blount “ It's more of a learning curve for me, and then just trying to make sure that let him know he's loved and that we're supporting him. He's never alone. Whenever he was at the hospital, our whole family was there sleeping on the couches and on the floors and everything, just to show our support. We're supporting it now through this; it's just a learning curve.” Corie Blount “I appreciate what you guys did with the program, that you guys have to bring awareness to his situation, and it kind of educated me also.” Corie Blount “I never even knew you could live with one kidney, right when you met someone saying that they needed a kidney, like, 'Man, if I get my kidney up. How am I going to live? How is my life going to be moving forward?' But the good thing that I've learned is that you have to treat your body right, no matter what.” Corie Blount “And it's important also to say that to be tested to be a living kidney donor, it's actually a very simple process, and it starts with a mouth swab. They send you a Q tip, it's a longer Q tip, and they do a mouth swab, and that's how the process starts.” Andi Johnson “It's hard for someone that you know, being of such a young age, you know, I think too, though it is helpful that he is young and doing the dialysis versus being older.” Corie Blount “Well, our hope and prayer is that you are the match, and if not, it's someone else in the family or but I would, I would not be surprised if there aren't people just knocking down the door to see if they would be a match for CJ.” Andi Johnson “Interesting fact about the living kidney donation process is that even if you're not a match for CJ, or if anyone else wants to be tested, and they're not a match for CJ, but they can still be a donor. Then there's this program. It's called the Paired Kidney exchange. So then you, for example, would donate to someone else that you were a match for, and then someone else who was a match for CJ would then donate for him.” Andi Johnson “Man, this is phenomenal that I don't know how we would have been able to deal with what we deal with. And fortunately, organizations like yourselves are stepping up and getting people to understand what's going on, and it's definitely needed.” Corie Blount Resources: Donatelifeky.org https://getoffthelist.org/ https://www.networkforhope.org/ https://www.networkforhope.org/about-us/ https://www.networkforhope.org/stories-of-hope/ https://www.facebook.com/NetworkForHopeOPO https://www.youtube.com/@NetworkforHope. https://aopo.org/ RegisterMe.org/NetworkforHope

Who have you decided is "too far gone"? We all have that person in our lives—the one whose heart seems too hard, whose past seems too dark, or whose skepticism seems too deep for God to reach. But what if the reach of Jesus is longer than your resistance? In this powerful installment of our Unstoppable series, Pastor Talaat McNeely dives into Acts chapter 9 to explore one of the most radical transformations in history: the conversion of Saul of Tarsus.Whether you're running at full speed in the wrong direction, feeling stuck in a "waiting room" of life, or being nudged to reach out to someone "unreachable," this message is a reminder that God's grace doesn't stop where our limitations begin. Discover how divine interruptions lead to radical redirection and why no one is ever truly beyond the reach of the King. What You'll Learn In This Episode:The Power of Divine Interruption: Why Jesus meets us at our highest point of hostility, not just our lowest point of need.Breaking the "Certainty" Trap: How religious pride and self-sufficiency can be the biggest barriers to God's work in our lives. The Grace of the "Waiting Room": Why God sometimes uses seasons of "blindness" and stillness to prepare us for our greatest assignments. The Ananias Assignment: How ordinary obedience becomes the bridge for someone else's breakthrough.Episode Timestamps (Estimated Progression)[00:00] – Introduction: The "Too Far Gone" Question. Exploring why we often box God in based on our own limitations and the people we've quietly concluded will never change. [08:15] – The Hostility of Saul. [12:30] – Scripture Reading: Acts 9:1–22.[15:45] – Principle 1: When Jesus Interrupts, Everything Changes. Why Jesus often meets us at the height of our resistance rather than the point of our "openness." [21:20] – "Why Are You Persecuting Me?" The powerful reality that Jesus is so united with His people that what touches you, touches Him. [25:50] – Principle 2: When Jesus Redirects, Pride Gets Broken. A practical guide to identifying your current spiritual posture and your next step. Key Takeaways & The Three Chairs:Chair 1: The Saul. You feel skeptical or disqualified by your past. Your Step: Stop running and ask, "Who are you, Lord?" Chair 2: The Self-Sufficient. You love Jesus but have "pride pockets" you haven't surrendered. Your Step: Embrace the "blindness," stop trying to figure out the next ten steps, and let Him lead you by the hand. Chair 3: The Ananias. Hi guys! Welcome to Episode 651 of the Wildly Successful Lifestyle podcast. Today I'm talking about something that's been on my heart so much lately — how to feel at home anywhere by feeling truly comfortable and safe in your own skin.I share the sweetest story about my little sister's new pet turtle who carries his home on his back and how that tiny guy taught me we can do the same. I also open up about the conversations Eric and I have been having about where we'll live when he retires in five years… and what I realized when I asked myself, “But what if he's not right there?”You'll hear how Nelson Mandela, Wayne Dyer, and Maya Angelou built an unbreakable inner sanctuary even in the hardest times, plus five simple daily habits you can start right now so you always know “I've got me.”If you want to feel more peace no matter where life drops you, this one's for you. Grab your favorite cozy spot, hit play, and let's do this beautiful inner work together.I love you guys — can't wait to hear what shifted for you this week!
What if the resurrection of Jesus isn't just something we celebrate once a year—but something that reshapes how we live every single day? In this message, we wrestle with a big and honest question: Can a rational, intellectually honest person really believe that Jesus rose from the dead? And if the answer is yes, then it leads to an even more personal question: What does that mean for my life? Together, we explore the historical reality of Jesus—His life, His crucifixion, and the claim of the empty tomb—and consider the implications if it's all true. Because if Jesus really did rise from the dead, then this isn't just a story—it's the turning point of history. It means hope is real. It means your past doesn't have the final word. It means your life can be transformed. No matter how uncertain things may feel, the story doesn't end in fear—it ends in resurrection.
No condemnation. A renewed mind. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead—living in you. Romans 8 is one of the most powerful chapters in Scripture, and this week we unpack why being in Christ changes everything. A new way to walk, a new way to think, a new life to live—not based on how well you perform, but on what Christ has already done.

The Science of Flipping | Become a real estate investor | Real Estate Investing like Robert Kiyosaki
In this very first episode of The M.O.R.E. Show — which stands for Maximizing Opportunities in Real Estate — I'm sitting down with my business partner Adam Williams to share why I made the decision to walk away from The Science of Flipping after 13 years and thousands of episodes, and what we're building together with timeformore.com. Adam and I have a combined 40 years in real estate, and we've seen the market from every angle — flips, multifamily, commercial — and what we kept coming back to is a massive gap in the space: people have access to education, but almost nobody is actually taking them from learning to doing and closing real deals. That's exactly what the M.O.R.E. ecosystem is designed to fix, built on three pillars — the show, the M.O.R.E. Club (where members analyze, partner on, and do real deals with us), and live events where the most powerful connections actually happen. With the economic landscape shifting fast, AI displacing jobs, the mortgage qualification rate dropping from 75% to 28%, and the wealth gap widening by the day, Adam and I believe this is the most important time to get in the game — and we're here to help you do exactly that. 0:00 Cold open — what the M.O.R.E. community is built for 0:46 Justin officially introduces The M.O.R.E. Diana and Sam dive into Episodes 1–3 of The Testaments, exploring a world where control feels normal, until it suddenly doesn't. If the resurrection is true, it doesn't just inspire belief—it demands a response, because a risen Jesus changes everything about death, sin, identity, and purpose. This message confronts the question we can't avoid: will we keep standing at empty graves, or will we run into the life, freedom, and mission He already secured?
What if the turning point you need has already happened? What if it isn't a self-help plan or a better version of you… but something real that changed history? Easter isn't about religion. It's about a moment in history that changed everything. If the resurrection of Jesus is real, then shame doesn't define you. Fear doesn't own you. And your future isn't closed. Skeptical? Curious? Not sure what you believe anymore? Come see for yourself. This week on the podcast, I'm sharing a simple experience that turned into a powerful reminder! It started with something small… selling a rowing machine. In a moment of overwhelm and decluttering, I listed it quickly without much thought, only to find out that I had drastically undervalued it. Instant regret! The "why didn't I think this through?" But underneath that reaction was a deeper lesson: We do this same thing to ourselves all the time. We confuse our worth with our value! We assess it based on our productivity, our performance, how we show up, or how others respond to us. But here's the truth:
WIth love, everything changes and God is present.

Title of this lecture (speech): "STOP FORCING LIFE, EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE". Speaker:
In today's episode, I join the Behavior Bitches podcast to share the moment my greatest fear came true and how it ultimately reshaped my life. After losing more than $100 million and going bankrupt, I had to confront the ego, habits, and beliefs that led me there. I talk about the lesson my mom taught me in that painful moment, why receiving is just as important as giving, and how community and shared values create real opportunity. We also discuss why surrounding yourself with the right people matters, the danger of doing business with “dicks,” and how responding to fear with humility, gratitude, and accountability can completely change your trajectory.
For a season, I expanded your capacity to grieve, to mourn, to release the past, what you perceive as the past. But I was simultaneously expanding your capacity for JOY...www.curlynikki.comSupport the show-> http://patreon.com/goodmornings
