We kick off Episode 155 with a look at the latest from the Euros-looking at England's progress to the knockout stages whilst Scotland and their Tartan Army fell at the first hurdle. We also call out the negativity from the TV and press pundits, and the character assassination of Southgate and the team by people who should know better. In Netball's play-offs we now know who will be playing in this weekend's final after wins for Manchester Thunder and Loughborough Lightning-yet again a very, very frightening line up! Meanwhile, in Rugby Union there were big wins for England and South Africa, whilst Glasgow Warriors pulled another shock out of the bag to beat the Bulls and win the URC title in Pretoria. Sadly the GB Men's 7's team were beaten by South Africa in the Olympic Qualifying Repechage tournament, meaning the Blitzbokke take the final place in Paris. The T20 Cricket World Cup in Cricket has also thrown up some great surprises-England turned round a poor start to the tournament, and big wins over West Indies and USA mean they are into the semi-finals, whilst Afghanistan's giant killing of Australia means they progress to their first semi-final at the expense of the Baggy Greens! As ever we also bring you the latest and best from a host of other sports, including F1, Athletics, Rugby League, Mountain Biking, Cycling and Swimming – along with your contacts.

Growing up in the Victorian countryside, Dylan James Buckley dreamed of two things... Being the host of Australia’s favourite sporting podcast and smacking Daniel Vettori over the fence for six. He doesn’t like cricket... He loves it. Great song, great podcast. He also loves his good mates Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon. What’s it like donning the baggy green? Do they feel the weight of expectation from this cricket-obsessed country? What do they really eat during the tea break? The Bucka Boy takes a peg at the stumps and nails it. Howzat?!
On this episode of The Lawyers Weekly Show, Melissa Coade is joined by employment lawyers James Mattson and Ryan Murphy from Bartier Perry. The national shame in Australia was palpable when a cheating plot involving three Aussie batsmen unravelled on the international stage during the Third Test in South Africa. Cameron Bancroft was busted on the playing field, with television footage capturing his attempts to tamper a cricket ball with sandpaper in March this year. Cricket Australia quickly moved to investigate the incident, resulting in swift disciplinary action against the junior player, along with suspensions for former skipper Steve Smith and Vice-captain Dave Warner. The three were also charged with bringing the game into disrepute. Here, employment lawyers James Mattson and Ryan Murphy talk about how reasonable the penalties against disgraced cricket trio were. They also unpack broader themes raised by the scandal, to show what employers can take away from how Cricket Australia handled the Cape Town Plot in times of crisis. www.lawyersweekly.com.au
