We also discuss the other Nedd, Brockmann who just put in as fantastic effort on a Guinness World Record attempt of 1000 miles, completing it in 12 day and missing out on the record but finishing with debilitating ailments.
HUGE WEEK in the AFL world with most the important trades coming down to the wire! Robbo and Matho rated their best/ worst clubs at the trade table in 2024, some of which stunk it up but some clubs added some great talent. Insight into how AFL player agents handle the busiest time of the year as they spoke to Robbo's manager Tim Hazell. To top it off, Rip Through It exclusively facetimed the Shepmates and got some amazing behind the scenes look at what it took for Ned Brockmann to complete 1610km in 12 days 13 hours and raise an amazing $2.6million for WE ARE MOBILISE charity which helps homeless people in Australia!

I was sitting in my studio the other day, looking at some of the 100+ paintings I've done over the past few years and out of the blue I thought to myself, “I hate all of these.” Adrianne walked in a few minutes later and asked what was going on and I said, “I think I hate everything I've done.” Adrianne being Adrianne then asked, “Do you really hate it or is it something else?” I didn't answer immediately, but of course it's something else, right? It has to be. But that's how it came out in the moment. To be clear, I don't love every piece I've ever done—I don't think any artist really does—but I certainly don't hate every piece either. So what is it that's really going on?LINKSPicasso: https://www.pablopicasso.org/The New Propaganda: https://projects.jefferysaddoris.com/Grid Variations: https://projects.jefferysaddoris.com/Sean Tucker: https://www.seantucker.photography/Josef Müller-Brockmann: https://www.grapheine.com/en/graphic-design-en/graphic-designer-muller-brockmann-swiss-styleReid Miles: https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stories/best-blue-note-album-covers/Robert Rauschenberg: https://www.rauschenbergfoundation.org/Robert Motherwell: https://www.wikiart.org/en/robert-motherwellMy Substack: https://jefferysaddoris.substack.comCONNECT WITH MEWebsite: https://jefferysaddoris.com Twitter: @jefferysaddoris Instagram: @jefferysaddorisSUBSCRIBESubscribe to Jeffery Saddoris: Almost Everything in your favorite podcast app to get more conversations like this. Imagine running 2,500 miles across Australia, in some of the most brutal conditions on Earth, in under 50 days. This is the remarkable story of today's guest Nedd Brockmann. A charismatic young electrician apprentice with a legendary bleach blonde mullet and world-class personality, at just 23 years old, Nedd audaciously set out to become the fastest person to ever run across his native Australia–4000km (2,500 miles) from Perth to Bondi Beach in Sydney. This is a phenomenal conversation in which we unpack Nedd's extraordinary and inspiring journey. We cover why he got into running, how he progressed so quickly, and the intrinsic motivation behind his trans-Australia adventure. Nedd shares how he grapples with hardship—including his post-run PTSD. But more than anything, today's conversation is about what we can all learn from his example when it comes to human potential and the power we all have to do amazing things when the mind, body, and spirit are dialed in. I loved getting to know him—and I know you will too.
