It's summer and we need some easy drinking beers. All-In Brewing together with Frontaal and Beerbliotek have released Harbulary IPA. They describe it as "yellow and clear like the beers got us hooked on IPAs". It certainly does that. It's good to see breweries rediscovering the classic IPA. Subbe Bryggeri Barley Wine is a classic English barleywine. It's sweet, boozy and malty. But don't let it fool you, the 14% ABV will sneak up on you. #beer #craftbeer #drinks #ipa #barleywine
Brasserie d-Achouffe is a Belgian brewery that makes traditional Belgian styles plus Belgian interpretations of modern styles. Chouffe Houblon is their take on a DIPA. It's a 9% ABV made with Belgian yeasts giving it a fun, twisted take on classic DIPA expectations. Swedish berwers beerbliotek likes to play with different styles. Their releases have really run the spectrum of brewing possibilities. Purely selfish reasons is their take on a Belgian Tripel. It's got what you expect from the style to more less success. #beer #craftbeer #drinks #belgianipa #dipa #belgiantripel
With her now internet more stable than the pound, Lucy catches us up on all the games she's been playing over the past few weeks. Lucy played As Dusk Falls, Norco, Immortality, Tinykin, The Artful Escape, Lost Words Beyond the Page, Love 3, and Return to Monkey Island. She goes into a bit more depth on Gerda: A Flame in Winter. Aadil updated everyone with his (lack of) moving woes. We also mentioned The Puppeteer, the Paw Patrol game that's on PS+, and Valiant Hearts. Aadil had the Here Comes the Sun Pale Ale from Beerbliotek and Ben had the Arbor x Liquid Light DIPA Sunset Vista.
It's time for Stefan's favorite episode of the year: The Systembolaget julöl beer release. This is episode we review five beers from a wide collection of Swedish breweries. This years pics are Odd Island brewing's Julänna, Beerbliotek Stocking Filler, Brewhuslän Don't Fear the Yule Bock, Kinn Bryggeri Tomasmesse (2019) and Malmö Meadery Merry Christmas, Honey. This really runs the range of what's possible in a julöl. From lagers to bocks to meads, we've got a lot to taste.
We tried and loved 45 Days of Pilsner a while back. We were excited to try To Ol's 45 Days of Hell(es). This is one damn tasty beer. If you're not a fan of pilsners, largers, helles, etc., these beers might very well change your mind. Light, sweet, bready, and easy to drink. We follow that up with Beerbliotek's The Trash-Filled Streets Made Me Wish We Were Headed Home is a brown ale. This is their 7th brown ale and their 293rd recipe. It's a hoppy brown ale that tastes more like a black IPA than a brown ale.
This week's featured artist is Neale Playing. We came to learn of his work through his good friend and previous guest Darryl De Necker of Beerbliotek.Neal is responsible for the labels and branding for Stigbergets Bryggeri in Gothenburg, Sweden. Episodes like this are great opportunities to connect with creative and passionate individuals around the world. These episodes are special to me because of the reach of the project. When we look at the globe it is joyful to think that we have friends and hosts to show us their home and country all through this podcast. His story is one of adventure, passion and growth. Through love and inquiry he now calls Sweden his home. We talk about him speaking the language, how he ended up working for the brewery and how his style and process has evolved over the years sprinkled in with a little in the right place at the right time. Nature and birds are a common theme in his work and one of the things that drew me to his pieces not to mention the simple yet versatile circle logo, which is part of our discussion. Take this opportunity to learn about a new brewery and artist from another part of the world and appreciate the joy of the human spirit and discovery.
This week's film is the 2020 Netflix Original, Project Power.Featuring Jamie Foxx and Joseph-Gordon Levitt, it must be good, right? RIGHT? HmmmBeer comes from Beerbliotek and OverHop Brewing Co.The world is still *mostly* in lockdown. While it's not safe to go back to the cinema, or the pub, or get on the bus, Dubbel Feature continues. We watch a film, drink a new beer and talk about both.

The gang return to chat Lucy's time with Super Crush KO, game preservation, Ben's time with Jedi Fallen Order and the recent delay to Final Fantasy 7 remake. Yes, we recorded before the Cyberpunk 2077 delay but we do predict it. Ben and Aadil are drinking this week with beers from Burning Sky, Burnt Mill and a North Brewing Co X Beerbliotek collaboration.

Episode Fourteen: Guests: Adam Norman from Beerbliotek, Wade Duffin and Oliver ClarkThis week is a That's The Drink Talking bizarro world episode. David got stuck on a bike so we called in super mate and one half of parenting podcast "Shitting With the Door Open", Wade Duffin, as guest Quirk. Our guest brewer is TTDTs first international brewer. All the way from Swedish based brewery, Beerbliotek, head brewer and owner Adam Norman steps into the bar for a good yarn and brings in a delicious and diverse range of beers to help get the talking started. And boy can the Swedes brew a beer! Speaking of excellent, the delicious triple threat entertainer, Oliver Clark, props up the bar as guest barfly. David calls in from the road, drinks are drunk, shots are fired... It's the podcast that we're still trying to remember in the morning.
We are joined by Carl Marshall, @ThaBearded1, of Twisted Barrel Ales to chat all things video games and beer. Carl chats the games he enjoys like Nippon Marathon and not having the time for bigger experiences. He then posses the question, what are the similarities between video games and craft beer. We delve into a ton of topics and tangents as we try to answer. This is followed by Lucy discussing Bastion and Supergiant games. Ben brings Love Thyself a visual novel developed by Amplitude and set in the Endless Universe. Carl drinks ‘Technical Ecstasy’ from 2nd Shift Brewing, ‘Parka’ from Double-Barrelled and finally ‘Wrapped in Citra’ from Twisted Barrel. Lucy starts with Beerbliotek’s ‘We’re young, we smell good and […]

The only way to stay fresh at 1am with a full 20 hours still to go, is to crack open a can of whoop ass! Another solo review, slotted in whilst I was brewing a beer. Enjoy!
This week is quite a special one, as we opened up the 13-hour livestream for “Gamers United Against Demnetia”. We talk memory games, times our memory has failed us in games, games as part of dementia/memory research, games as both preventative and palliative brain care, and a whole lot else besides. Ben and Aadil share one of Lucy’s favourite beers the ‘Steady Rolling Man’ pale ale from the folks over at “DEYA”. The boys finish off the conversation with the “Northern Monks Patron Project” pineapple and grapefruit juice IPA ‘4.02’. Lucy starts off with the ‘Cryo Baby’ session IPA from “Magic Rock Brewery”, following it up with “Beerbliotek” ‘Single Hop Mosaic’ IPA.
I stereo? Luke and Andrew are joined by Ben Hudson from Beer Shop to throw back some Siren Craft Brew Calypso, Pope's Yard Bruitish, Stigbergets Amazing Haze and Beerbliotek x O/O Brewing Sabotage. As always, the music choices are rubbished, the talking gets more slurred and Luke proves that he know very little about beer. When we found out that Beerbliotek had bought a canning line, we got very excited because we loved what those guys were brewing. When we heard that their beers were going to start being exported to the UK, we got even more excited! When we found out that they wanted to do a Meet the Brewer event with us, we had to sit down for 10 minutes after we saw the beer list that they were bringing along with them. This Swedish brewery have probably more fun with their beers, and the names, than any other brewery around. We were joined by founder Adam, who took us through five of their different beers. From fruity sours to full on barrel-aged Imperial Stouts, this was a Meet the Brewer that delivered everything you could ever want from a modern craft brewery. This is our final podcast of the series (don't look too sad!), but we'll be back in the spring with plenty more great content!
Episode Two features Beerbliotek, Delirium, Lervig and Uprising Brewing Co being paired with some choice tunes from the brains of Rhythm & Brews. Sit back, line up the beers and enjoy... Title Track by Mawkin Hosts: Andrew Green and Luke Murphy-Wearmouth Produced by Luke Murphy-Wearmouth
