Adding capacity to your law practice, whether through hiring new team members, outsourcing work, or using AI to help you with certain tasks does not always add up to overall workflow improvement. This can be really frustrating for law firm owners because you've spent time and money on these solutions, only for the work to continue getting stuck in workflow bottlenecks.Melissa Shanahan and Ben Hudson join me today to discuss what changes when you shift your focus from resource efficiency to flow efficiency, and why sometimes the key to increasing capacity is actually doing less. Ben shares his insights on using data to inform hiring decisions, improving client perception, and defining productivity in a way that aligns with his goals, and we dive deep into the tools and strategies that make a difference. For full show notes, transcript, and more information, visit: https://www.agileattorney.com/36Catch me at the Clio Cloud Conference 2024, Tuesday, October 8th at 3pm (Discount code: ACTFAST): https://cliocloudconference.com/

In this Podcast we talk to Ben Hudson from Global Action Plan to discuss pollution and how localities can take action to reduce it. Global Action Plan are the people behind Clean Air Day, the UK's largest air pollution campaign. They bring people together to inspire each other to go further and exert their voice to ensure policy makers and organisations play their part. To breathe clean air every day we need to make rapid changes: adopting electric vehicles, avoiding millions of car journeys, slashing industrial and construction emissions and stopping buying products that cause pollution in our homes. To see change at this scale requires us to work as a movement, with changemakers across the country modelling that change, and exerting pressure on government and major polluters. Air pollution causes heart and lung disease and results in over 36,000 people in the UK dying each year. Clean air is essential for our health, and the co-benefits of clean air measures are also good for our wellbeing as well as being good for the planet. We will discuss this with Ben Hudson in this webinar and also what action we can take locally and also what action local authorities should also be taking to ensure clean air for everyone. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/globalnet21/message

An old friend leaves a message for the boys and Todd Goldstein is chopped from the Team of the Decade. As The Traders remember the past, they look at their favourite stories from over the years and the Fantasy cult heroes that go down in folklore.Episode guide1:15 - Roy is optimistic that the season will be underway sooner rather than later.8:00 - Calvin is taken to task on his inclusion of Todd Goldstein in the Team of the Decade.16:00 - Team of the Decade FWDs22:10 - Steve Johnson was the closest to a forward pig we have seen.30:00 - Justin Westhoff missed just eight games of the decade, should he be considered in the forward line?33:20 - Lance Franklin kicked 13 goals for 204 Fantasy points, the highest score in the modern era.36:10 - Dayne Zorko averaged 95 in his debut season to be the forward cash cow of the decade.42:50 - Via Twitter, Owen offers up some interesting stats from the last decade such as how many points were scored and the highest scoring jumper numbers.51:00 - Questions from social media - follow @AFLFantasy on Twitter and like the Official AFL Fantasy facebook page.56:15 - Fantasy faves including when Ben Hudson was suspended by the Crows and Warnie wasn’t happy and called the club.1:04:00 - Reliving how good the Cats were in the late 2000s - especially ABC; Ablett, Bartel and Corey.1:10:30 - Beau Muston scored 127 and 106 in his first two games before tanking.1:19:30 - The boys reel off Brad Johnson’s averages in the 2000s.1:21:20 - Homework of the week is to pick a Fantasy team of five defenders, seven midfielders, one ruck and five forwards with only one player from each team.
Hoooooooly Moly this one went to another dimension...! Hang out with Ben Hudson and I, as we cover many odd topics... We talk Flatland, growing up in Santiago, discussing the current state of his country, travelling, psychedelics, Percy Marshall... We also got into a great conversation about art, one of the funnest topics Ive gotten into on the podcast aside from riding. Ben and I both share a deep appreciation for art, so it was great to freestyle on the topic..and watch it unfold into one of the most random moments of coincidence on my podcast... Coincidence? Ben Hudson made a hire for his small firm that really didn’t work out. So he went back to the drawing board on his hiring process. He took the time to outline his core values and build a thoughtful, slow-moving hiring process around them to make sure his replacement was the right person. Ben doesn’t take unscheduled calls, either, because it’s better for him and his clients.

Ben Hudson is a country singer-songwriter from Uxbridge, Ontario. His smooth, rich vocals have been compared to Josh Turner and Brothers Osborne although his country-rock influenced songwriting is similar to that of Eric Church and Aaron Lewis. His self-titled EP was released in early 2016, gaining the attention of CMT Canada who made him their Fresh Face artist and also earned him a nomination at the 2016 CMAO Awards for Rising Star. In June of 2016, he released his first single “Redneck Summer” to country radio. In its first week, the single was in the top 5 DMDS downloads and added into rotation at many major market stations across Canada. This strong debut helped secured a spot at the inaugural CMT Music Fest. Topcountry.ca named him one of their top artists to watch in 2017 and the Country Music Association of Ontario selected him as their January 2017 “Artist of the Month.” Ben recently opened for Juno Award Winner Brett Kissel on his 2017 “Ice, Snow & 30 Below” tour and his 2018 “We Were That Song” tour. He is currently in studio working on his debut full length album set for release in early 2018.
Luke and Andrew are joined by Ben Hudson from Beer Shop to throw back some Siren Craft Brew Calypso, Pope's Yard Bruitish, Stigbergets Amazing Haze and Beerbliotek x O/O Brewing Sabotage. As always, the music choices are rubbished, the talking gets more slurred and Luke proves that he know very little about beer. Growing up on his Dad’s farm in Uxbridge, Ontario, Ben Hudson showed an interest in music from an early age. He started piano at age 5 and took up guitar at age 14. Both his parents were a strong influence on his passion for music with a mother who played guitar and a father who played drums. There was always Country music playing at home, artists like Hank Williams, George Jones, Randy Travis and Kenny Rogers. In high school, Ben formed a classic rock band with his brothers playing guitar and bass and his sister on drums. They entered local talent shows and battle of the bands competitions, which is what made Ben realize that music was the path he wanted to pursue. While attending York University for Visual Arts, he used every bit of spare time for songwriting and playing music. Ben has transformed into a gifted songwriter and artist. With rich, smooth vocals and a fresh writing style that mixes a new Country sound with an old Country feel, there is no doubt Ben has a bright future in Country music.
