The Danny DeGennaro Foundation is a non-profit formed in honr of the late singer/songwriter Danny DeGennero. It’s mission is to support aspiring inclined writers, poets and artists who possess “magic” similar to Danny. Tickets cost $30 general admission and $50 for a VIP reception, which includes beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres. Hey Punky Peeps, well it’s Monday, the most dreaded work day of the week, but on the bright side here’s a new Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast episode for you to help lift your spirits a little we have S1E18 I Love You Brandon which aired on February 17, 1985. I’m your host Angela Bowen and let’s dive right into this episode, a word of warning though you may need to get your tissues out because we are dealing with a tearjerker of an episode today, Peeps. I know how could I do this and on a Monday too, but the show must go on in any event, so on with the show. Here’s a synopsis of the episode: Henry scolds Brandon for eating several valuable stamps. After that, Punky takes him on a walk, where he is hit by a car. He is rushed to the veterinary hospital, where his prognosis is grim. Time for my Brandon Tail Wag Episode Rating: I’m giving it 5 out of 5 Brandon Tail Wags. 1. For Allen’s excited interest in the stamps he keeps getting hit by Cherie and Punky because they could care less about the stamps and Henry takes Allen’s answer like he’s answering for a three of them. 2. Brandon eating the stamps and Punky’s fast thinking of creating fake ones to buy some time although Henry sees right through it. 3. Punky meeting Mrs. Cartney and she tells Punky about her dog Angus. What a sweet lady. She loves her dog so much. 4. Punky’s tearful goodbye to Brandon then he wakes up. 5. Brandon choosing the afgan chair his favorite over Henry’s gorgeous top of the line dog house. Time for Punky’s Principles: What I got from this episode was if something bad happens to your furry critter be it a dog, cat or small animal don’t blame yourself. You could ask yourself all the what if this or what if that questions until your brain explodes, but try to focus on the positive and if you do loose your pet, it’s ok to grieve just don’t let that grief consume you and let people in share your grief with others because odds are they’ve been through it as well. Join me Next Monday July 3 as we get pumped up for the next episode entitled Punky Brewster’s Work Out which aired on February 24, 1985 where Punky and her friends make their own workout video with Henry’s new camcorder he bought for work. Hilarity ensues.
