The Earth, from space, looks beautiful unless it's on fire from nuclear annihilation. That's what the American and Russian astronauts in the new movie I.S.S., for International Space Station, see up there and it leads to some international tension with deadly results. Suddenly the U.S. and Russia are in a nuclear war and each countries astronauts have received orders to take the I.S.S. over by any means necessary. Can anyone trust each other, even if you're on the same side? It's an intriguing premise for a movie, especially in space, but is it worth you launching towards the theater to see it? Check out this episode to find out. I.S.S. is directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and stars Ariana DeBose, Chris Messina, John Gallagher Jr., Masha Mashkova, Costa Ronin and Pilou AsbaekSupport the showFeel free to reach out to me via:@MoviesMerica on Twitter @moviesmerica on InstagramMovies Merica on Facebook

Director Gabriela Cowperthwaite brings the viewer into the lives of the scientist / astronauts orbiting the planet aboard the International Space Station. Two crews of scientists, American and Russian, conduct research towards the betterment of humanity. Tensions flare in the near future aboard the International Space Station as the astronauts receive orders from the ground that are both horrifying and unfathomable. The cold harshness of space comes into stark reality as thriller and science fiction combine to form an engrossing look at power dynamics and the places they exist regardless of Earth and space. Director Gabriela Cowperthwaite, working with Nick Shafir's Blacklist script, brings together a stellar cast that includes Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose, Chris Messina, Pilou Asbaek, John Gallagher Jr., Costa Ronin, and Masha Mashkova, in a high-stakes thriller set entirely in the confines of the I.S.S. as astronauts are called to duty in fateful and terrifying ways.

Legends of S.H.I.E.L.D.: An Unofficial Marvel Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fan Podcast
The @LegendsOfShield (Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) Agents Lauren, Haley and Stargate Pioneer are joined for a fourth consecutive week by special guest, stowaway and Consultant Agent Wing as they break down the ABC television special Marvel 75 Years From Pulp To Pop! They also discuss the week in Marvel news, and enjoy all the awesome Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. feedback. In this episode our hosts announce their new YouTube channel where they will also upload the podcasts to. Stargate Pioneer announces he has a beard and the other hosts agree it is a beard of evil. Also, Wing announces his goatee of evil and his gross facial hair growth technique. For Halloween Agent Lauren combined several of her favorite things and created one of the most fantastic costumes ever (see her twitter feed for a picture @sithwith) her idea for a sexy Thangorodrim from The Silmarillion fell through. No one got Stargate Pioneer’s GeekJersey.com X-Wing pilot costume. Nightwing did his annual Clark Kent costume and Haley didn’t dress up as anything and had no candy for trick or treaters. And Agent Lauren announced she loved to trick or treat at the drug dealer’s houses for full sized candy bars when she was growing up. The foursome discuss who “THE Ralph Macchio” is and that Ralph Macchio the actor is NOT Ralph Macchio the Marvel comic editor. They also discuss a potential relationship between Ward and Taskmaster. Haley brings up that she thinks that Skye’s dad is Black Bolt’s brother, Maximus The Mad. Haley’s not-seen movie list now includes: Showgirls, Top Gun, Skyfall, Magic Mike, Starman and Highlander. And Agent Haley’s excellent marketing idea in China for a giant robot head in Guardians Of The Galaxy definitely qualify her for a marketing job at Marvel. And Stargate Pioneer wonders if Haley Atwell made a mistake in filming and actually hit Clark Gregg during her Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. guest spot coming up on November 18th, 2014. Lauren and her husband Scott came up with the theory that Heimdall probably knows that Loki is acting as Odin. And everyone is looking forward to Groot Christmas trees. Both Nightwing and Lauren enjoyed the Daredevil movie. And Lauren is REALLY looking forward to the Jessica Jones’ Netflix series. And three of the four hosts would like to see a Black Widow movie (hint: Not Nightwing). Lauren is uuber excited about the upcoming Attack On Titan – Marvel crossover. And Lauren is also interested in writing for Marvel comics (and she is available too!). Stan Lee is Marvel in soo many ways. Stargate Pioneer certainly didn’t mind Emily Vancamp (Agent 13) touching Lola – big surprise there. He also mentions that this special is a good start for someone that didn’t know much about Marvel comics. If you’d like to delve deeper into the runnings of Marvel over the past 75 years, there’s the Stan Lee Biopic “With Great Power,” Fedric Wertham’s “Seduction Of The Innocent,” Superdickery.com’s Batman’s Boners, Stan Lee’s Mutants, Monsters & Marvels, and Comic Book Superheroes Unmasked. The four round out the podcast by discussion what the most influential comic book movie was from the 1978 Superman The Movie on. Movies discussed include Superman The Movie, Batman 1989, X-Men, and Iron Man 2008. Everybody read Image Comics’ Saga!
