Grain and ivestock end in the green in a risk on day with crude oil supporting the ag sector.  Craig Turner with StoneX says grains saw technical buying off support areas but underlying demand is also supportive as well as an easing of hedge and harveset pressure.  Wheat saw buying tied to Russia's lower crop estimates and export restrictions.  He discusses how much higher prices could run on this relief rally.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Grains fade strong weekly exports and additional flash sales as wheat drags down the complex.  Craig Turner of StoneX says end users have seen current prices as a value which has supported the markets and if you add in inflation grains could be carving out new trading ranges.  However, he thinks some of the buying is tied to fear of increased tariffs or a trade war.  Meanwhile, China threw more stimulus at the economy and indication to him that it is not working and could be a demand red flag.  And will the funds go back short in the grains?  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In Brazil, the northern regions are struggling with poor conditions, adding to global supply concerns. The southwestern U.S. is also facing a challenging weather story, contributing to uncertainty. Open interest in the grain markets is shifting, signaling potential changes in trader sentiment as we approach the new marketing year starting on September 1. Seasonals are looking favorable, with market conditions typically strengthening ahead of the harvest. Soybeans are seeing an improving situation, supported by demand and crop progress, while corn remains strong, benefiting from solid fundamentals. As we move into the new marketing year, key factors to watch will include yield reports, export demand, and how the crop quality holds up through the final stages of development. Grains are mixed early Wednesday and so are livestock.  Craig Turner with StoneX says soybeans are setting back on First Notice Day selling and rains in the Corn Belt overnight, despite export biz.  Corn is seeing some support from higher wheat and export sales. Wheat extends gains after key reversals yesterday and end of quarter short covering in what could also be bottoming action.  Turner thinks corn, soybeans and wheat are at value levels and below the cost of production, so they may be forging low term lows.  That may also mean livestock producers should line up feed needs.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
