So this week we share our first one and ponder some beer pairings.In news that was totally expected, D9 Brewing has filed for bankruptcy protection. If the name isn't ringing a bell they are part of Community Brewing Ventures, the parent company that also owns Bevana. Yep, exactly.Some realllllly loose research suggests that couples that drink together and have similar drinking habits live longer. Enter Community Brewing Ventures. Director of Strategic Partnerships Aaron Gore sat down with Cee to discuss exactly what a brew accelerator is, how CBV works with all their partner breweries, what makes their approach unique, how their funding works, the importance of DEI in order for craft beer to grow to its fullest potential, and a whole lot more. The North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival at Rural Hill in Huntersville, NC combines craft beer, craft goods, bluegrass music and camping.  This year we talked with owner of Windy Hill Orchard and Cidery, Matt Gusmer about the latest and greatest down in York, SC. Allison Simkins Director of Operations at Brhamari Brewing in Asheville, NC gives us an update on the brewery. John Murtiashaw a road warrior for Eno Hammocks "hangs" out with us for a segment. Then for the second half of the festival we talked with Andrea Demarcus and Dave Kirslis of the band Cicada Rhythm, and our homebrewer friend Jim Purvis shares a pineapple IPA he brewed at D9 Brewing and from Wooden Robot.
