It's been an incredibly busy year for composer Jason Graves: writing music for the terrifying Dark Pictures: Man of Medan from Supermassive Games. He also scored episodes of DC's Swamp Thing, and in the midst of all that terror, carved out time to return to the charming world of Quill, the young mouse hero of Moss . I caught up with Jason to talk about all three projects. Jason says staying hyper-organized, and making sure he takes a couple of days off for weekends is how he doesn't get burned out, and how he's able to deliver a massive amount of music on a tight schedule. He's also got some unusual instruments, as well as creatively assembled devices set up in his studio as his go-to collection while he's working on a project, and he takes us on a tour around his studio, which also included included his bearded dragon, who was hanging out with us. For the Moss: Twilight Garden DLC, Jason wrote an eight-minute suite, weaving in themes from his original soundtrack for Moss , which

Geek of the Week offerings include; a look at the novel success of a Mississippi native and Ole Miss alum, DC's Swamp Thing being bogged down by financial problems, and Apple's latest pro machine that doesn't offer much bang for the (mega)buck. It's our final episode of the year. And through Aaron's deliriously tired state and Jack's inebriation, we'd like to apologize for all the loud typing and random banging on the table (seriously, we didn't even realize it was happening until it was too late.) This week, we not only document our winners and losers of the week -- we go through the past year's programming and sift through the best and worst. And we also discuss the SAG Awards TV Nominations ... which, with just a few exceptions, is seriously all about the white people. NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: A new rumor puts Ken Jeong as the frontrunner to host The Oscars. Ian Ziering has joined the cast of DC's "Swamp Thing" as the hero, Blue Devil. Netflix is getting ready to premiere a four-part true crime series about Ted Bundy on January 24th, called "Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes." The release date is the 30th anniversary of Bundy's execution. "Get Shorty" has been renewed at Epix. "Goliath" has been renewed at Amazon. "Detroiters" has been canceled at Comedy Central. Japan's anime industry is now worth roughly $19 billion dollars, thanks to streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, and overseas sales. While it seems like Netflix has a bunch of debt to deal with, Amazon's Prime Video channels helped the streaming service grow with revenues gaining $700 million over 2017 averages. Most importantly, Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon will return to Amazon Prime as hosts of the upcoming Rose Parade. On this week's episode, we announce the newest addition to the Jersey Comic Krew family, as Michael Moran will be joining up as a producer. We also get into a great discussion on the future of the Guardians of the Galaxy comic book, returning in January of 2019, with the possibility of new team members and Dave Bautista (a.k.a Draxx the Destroyer) possibly not returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Krew also discuss who will direct the first episode of DC's Swamp Thing. Carrie Fisher and her role in the next Star Wars Movie, and our reactions to the first images of Captain Marvel. Of course, we'll have some great comics to break down, such as Extermination #2, Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends #1, Action Comics #1002, and more!

In 1982 DC's Swamp Thing seemed ready for the big time with a major motion picture. But with that original film failing to grow on audiences, it would actually be in 1983 that Swamp Thing blossomed--as new writer Alan Moore took over and revamped the character. With the newfound popularity for the man-plant hybrid a new, low budget film was commissioned and released in 1989. Does The Return of Swamp Thing bear fruit, or is it another rotten comic adaptation? Listen to the Now Playing review to find out!
