Being a loved one or caregiver of someone with depression is challenging. In today's episode I'm going to share a few things that I hope will be helpful to you as you endure this challenge. As a person who has experienced and overcome depression, I have some unique insight as I share things what my loved ones tried that helped or didn't help. I'll share some of the chemistry behind depression and how it affects a person. I'll also share an analogy to help get a visual image to relate to the situation and also share some things that we can do to overcome depression. One of the most important aspects of healing and recovering from any mental or emotional issue is the belief that change is possible. Researchers call this "positive expectancy," and it figures prominently in whether or not therapy or treatment of any kind is successful. In order to do the hard work of changing or healing, we have to believe that change is actually an option. The good news is that change really is an option. Healing is possible. If you can help your loved one gain that positive expectancy, it will increase the likelihood that they will be willing to do the hard work required for healing.
You may have seen it in others or perhaps experienced it yourself. Someone starts off with great intentions towards change and self improvement only to become discouraged and give up. I’m going to explain why that might happen and how to work through it when those feelings of wanting to give up arise. Knowledge is power. This podcast helps you know:What is happeningWhy it’s happeningWhat to do about itBeing properly informed empowers us to be able to keep going and experience healing, peace, and growth.

When I was in medical school, the "chemical imbalance in the brain" theory for depression was all the rage. but the more I saw my clients, and even my own family members struggle with medications, the less I started to believe it. Then I interviewed Kelly Brogan about her extensive research onhow nutrition and gut healing can balance hormones and treat the underlying causes of psychiatric issues and it just solidified my experience. Not only do we have nutritional issues contributing massively to depression and anxiety, we have cell phone radiation (ya, let's microwave our brains while we sleep with the cell phone next to us....NOT!), and since delving into entity clearing work its come to my attention that spiritual issues cause or contribute to many if not most psychiatric diseases. With one deft entity clearing, a person can go from being suicidal to suddenly not being suicidal! Yet, beyond entity clearing, there are other spiritual issues that underlie symptoms of anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation. In this self-hosted episode, I'll be exploring what these issues are and what to do about them. Then we're going to be doing a group energy activation to help clear and balance these issues. And because I've promised to do at least one radio show a month with free healings, here's your chance to get some energy healing from me! In the second half of the show, I'll be doing energy readings and clearings on people calling in and people on the chat. So if you've never had a chance to get a healing from me or finances have blocked you from being able to purchase my spiritual healing packages, this is a great opportunity to ask for some help!
Mainstream Mental Health Radio with Dr. John Huber Study Finds That 50% Of Young People Have So Many 'Emotional Problems' They Cannot Focus At School Half of young people have so many emotional problems they cannot focus at school, a study has found. Some 48 per cent of youngsters said that they experienced problems during their school years that prevented them from concentrating on their academic work. Of these, 46 per cent did not talk to anyone about their problems, mainly because they did not want other people to know that they were struggling. More than half (58 per cent) did not think that asking for help would solve the problem. Growing up in poverty exposes children to greater levels of stress, which can lead to psychological problems later in life, a new study suggests.Researchers at Cornell University reported that kids who grow up poor are more likely to have reduced short-term spatial memory. The study also reported that such kids seem to be more prone to antisocial and aggressive behavior, such as bullying. Poor children are also more likely than kids from middle-income homes to feel powerless, the study authors suggested. Of course, the findings don’t mean that all children growing up in poverty will have these problems, only that the risk is higher, the researchers said.Gayani DeSilva, M.D., Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She is the author of the coming book, A Psychiatrist's Guide: Helping Parents Reach Their Depressed Tween. Dr. DeSilva welcome to the program.

According to Dr. Kelly Brogan, use of antidepressants may permanently disable the body’s self-healing potential. The best way to heal the mind is to get to the source of the matter. Dr. Brogan shatters the mythology conventional medicine has built around the causes and treatment of depression. That’s why as soon as she published her newest book A Mind of Your Own - an uncensored book about the real life dangers of using drugs for depression and anxiety (with the science to back her up)- the mainstream media blacklisted the book! this powerful message is being suppressed – it’s dangerous. Join me as I interview Dr. Brogan on my show and learn about the juiciest parts of her book that has caused it to be blacklisted and it's so important for us to get the truth out!
