POPULARITY
Heinrich & Heine isn't only a passionate music enthusiast, but one of the most fastest rising electronic acts in Germany. A long time dj with a successful story for a musical lifestyle. Within a very short period of time he made himself a name in the local Techno scene of Hamburg, and later on also across Germany and even Europe. Probably his biggest milestone is the residency at BKI:Kiezinternat, one of Hamburg's most renowned clubs directly in the heart of the world famous red-light district. Since 2010 he spread his message and the good vibes from this place to be. After lots of releases on several national and international labels, he realised, that his music had even more potential, so he decided to found his own label called Amber Recordings, where he release amazing Techno and Tech-House tracks and only a short time after that, Amber Blue Recordings followed, focusing on melodic and deep House music. Never being tired of the business, he always want to give something back to his fans, not just with his energetic and powerful DJ sets or with his driving and pumping productions, he also release quite some good podcasts or throw so-called “Private Pool Sessions” – he don't just produce or play music – he is living and breathing dance music. You wanna hear some name dropping? No problem: He played celebrated sets alongside big names and scene heroes like Simina Grigoriu, Perc, Gayle San, Stefano Noferini, Marika Rossa, Max Bett, Sascha Sonido, Spectre, Affkt, Paride Saraceni and many many more. And he released on labels such as Der Turnbeutel (by Oliver Schories), Jannowitz Records, Redrum (by Dema), Ballroom (by Kaiser Souzai), Kuukou (by Simina Grigoriu), GuessWhat Recordings (by Hansol), Natura Viva, Mangue Records, Patro De Musica (sublabel of Damm Records), Audio Safari, Ton Liebt Klang, Mad Mad Hatter (by Fran&Co) and of course on his own labels Amber Recordings and Amber Blue Recordings. You should have an eye on this guy. There are some more great things coming up…
Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Podcast Series! On this edition, we welcome schNee It all started with a mixtape! In the 80’s schNee was born in the suburbs of Berlin, and as a young girl she moved through this vibrant city exploring different music styles through concerts - as she got older she started finding herself in the Berlin clubs; dancing, feeling, enjoying, and opening up to the electronic music. It turns out that a simple mixtape was to be the beginning of an adventurous career for the young schNee. After making a mixtape, for her car, of all her favorite electronic tracks - a sudden realization hit her - her passion in life was to become a DJ and learn the ways of music. She promptly bought turntables, a mixer, and started her vinyl collection. Thus, a DJ was born. schNee is all about the musical experience and that is evident through her sound. Her mixes are full of emotional range, with deep melodies and lots of bass to the upbeat ‘feel the sun on your face’ beats - she truly wants you to feel and be enveloped in the music like she herself is. She oozes of diversity, playing anything from house to techno. In particularly she draws inspiration from the likes of James Holden, Nathan Fake, Max Cooper, Extrawelt, Nicolas Jaar, and Stimming - just to mention a few. schNee has been on a roll ever since her first gig in Hamburg in early 2013. Following some releases and remixes on ‘Der Turnbeutel’ and ‘Triebjagd’ she has been rocking the floors at some of Berlin’s hottest clubs. Sisyphos, MenschMeier, About Blank, Ritter Butzke, Keller, and Rummelsbucht have all welcomed her to the DJ stand, from which she has filled the floor with marvelous tunes. Most notably, at Crack Bellmer where she has hosted her own club night. Her has spread music even further, as she has been playing gigs all over Europe, including Switzerland and The Netherlands. Her music is not only limited to the club - as she has also played at several festivals like; Captainsrave, Monis Rache, Zug der Liebe, Zurück zu den Wurzeln, Chateau Melon d’Eau, and Dockville. When she isn’t busy filling the world’s dance floors with remarkable tunes, she is hanging out with her space buddies and astronauts at the Cosmic Society label, where she is currently signed. I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did! Vamos Art – That is Lars Giereth and Andi Zielbauer from Stuttgart Both have been engaged as residents in the Decadencia Event Series where they have already shared the stage with well-known names of the scene. While Lars has been turning the black gold since 2005, Andi got on board in 2009 with productions and live sets. Their musical background also shows further parallels – both were active as drummers in their youth for many years. Rhythm and beat have always been a part of their life. In the middle of 2012 they finally came together and then of course what happened was: Vamos Art was born! Their interpretation of Rihannas “Stay”, the first publication of the boys, reached a high familiarity in a short time and was played by many well-known DJs. Their own tracks and remixes where released on labels like Traumschallplatten, Der Turnbeutel, Wonnemusik, Decadencia Records, Audio Safari, Pure*, Lochmann Records and Grossstadtvögel. The Tech-house sound of Vamos Art is mainly characterized by soulful sounds and playful breaks that cause shivers on the dance floor. Melodious sound carpets are part of their musical repertoire as well as the driving bass lines. We are looking forward to their upcoming productions in the near future! Cover by ©FRANZ ZÜNKLER [franz@afterhoursounds.com] The Berlin-based DJ and producer Mirco Niemeier is a true veteran or as he would say a pioneer. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he had the chance to listen to open minded music and so he savored to the fullest. At this time he was inspired by synthesizer sounds, 70´s & 80´s, which smooth the way for electronical music. “Percussions and atmosphere”: this is how we could sum-up the musical style of Mirco, influenced by a wide selection of producers and labels, including Andhim, Steyoyoke Recordings, Hanne & Lore, Keinemusik, WellDone! Music, Super Flu & Monaberry. His music is a beautiful and precise mix of the Tech-House rhythmic elements, and the atmospheric sounds of Deep-House music. Mirco has already released a whole bunch of EPs and remixes for PlayWithUs, Style Rockets, Mangue, Symbiont-Music, Pure, Ahoi, Parquet Recordings, Finnschallplatten, DAMM and Deich Records, and the Hamburg/Bremen-based label, Der Turnbeutel. He recently launched a brand new Tech-House project in collaboration with his fellow partner Beatamines, producing together under the moniker of Ektschn!, with a first release signed on Super Flu’s label Sunset Handjob. So we can look forward to new projects, because boredom is a loanword for Mirco! ┋MIRCO NIEMEIER┋ www.soundcloud.com/mirco-niemeier www.facebook.com/mirco.niemeier01 www.mirco-niemeier.com booking contact: tony@kiddazfm.de Download for free on The Artist Union
