In this episode of the Reading with Your Kids podcast, we dive into the world of middle grade novels in verse with author Shifa Saltagi Safadi. Shifa discusses her new book, "Kareem Between," which follows a Syrian American seventh-grader navigating the challenges of identity, belonging, and discrimination in 2017 America. Shifa shares how the novel's themes of political policies, like the "Muslim ban," directly impact young people like Kareem, who is torn between his Syrian and American identities. The host and Shifa explore the importance of diverse storytelling, using Kareem's love of football as a relatable way to connect with readers. We also hear from Candace Jones, who shares her personal journey of having two premature babies in the NICU. Candace's experiences inspired her to create the "Melody's Little Library" initiative, which collects donated books to provide comfort and connection for NICU families. Finally, we chat with author Angela Smith about her empowering children's books, "I Am Me, Unique and Free" and "I Love Myself." Angela discusses the power of affirmations and self-reflection to help children (and adults) overcome negative messages and learn to love themselves. Throughout the episode, the host and guests emphasize the importance of unity, finding common ground, and prioritizing relationships to create a more compassionate and inclusive society. This conversation is a must-listen for parents, educators, and anyone interested in the transformative power of children's literature. As my guest said in the episode you're about to listen to, you don't have to be a mental health professional to have mental health conversations. In fact, I would say that talking about difficult mental health topics outside of medical settings is not just helpful — it's necessary in that it both normalizes mental health challenges and reduces the stigma that's often associated with such struggles. Author and Illustrator Cara Bean also knows this to be true, and is committed to exploring these topics through her art, specifically comics. Cara sees comics as a powerful tool both for teens to learn about mental health, and for parents to lean on for important conversations about complex topics. Which is exactly why she wrote her new book, Here I Am, I Am Me: An Illustrated Guide to Mental Health. Every chapter in this therapist-recommended book explores a different aspect of mental health, from the brain and the mind, to feelings and emotions. By portraying complex neuroscience concepts with a cast of illustrated characters, Cara offers an accessible, approachable understanding of what's going on in the brain that empowers readers. I really love Cara's book and so wanted to have her on the show to talk about her process for writing it, and how we can use it to support kids going through hard stuff. So in this conversation, Cara explained the way she visualized thoughts and feelings, why she felt so strongly about including detailed brain science in her book, and the power of metaphors to explain the impacts and struggles of addiction, depression, anxiety, and suicidality, making these heavy topics more relatable and easier to understand. About Cara Bean Cara Bean is the author of Here I Am, I Am Me: An Illustrated Guide to Mental Health and Draw 500 Funny Faces and Features. She provides interactive workshops on creativity with people of all ages and backgrounds in various public forums. Cara is passionate about drawing and believes that the simple act of doodling on paper can lead to the investigation of complex ideas. When she is not teaching, she makes comics that delve into poetic self introspection, playful storytelling and topics relevant to teens and teaching. Cara is currently working on comics projects that speak directly to kids and address mental health. Cara lives in Massachusetts with her husband and their dog Raisin. Things you'll learn How comics can provide an honest and accessible way to discuss complex issues The benefits of visualizing thoughts and feelings through thought bubbles and metaphors for enhancing understanding Why Cara felt so strongly about including detailed brain science in the book in order to foster understanding of emotional health and reactions How Cara leaned into the power of metaphors to explain the impact and struggles of things like addiction, depression, anxiety, and suicidality Why Cara wrote her book Here I Am, I Am Me for, and how different readers might approach engaging with it Resources mentioned Cara Bean's website Here I Am, I Am Me: An Illustrated Guide to Mental Health by Cara Bean Draw 500 Funny Faces and Features by Cara Bean Snakepit graphic pamphlet for adults John Porcellino (King-Kat Comics) The Breakthrough Years: A New Scientific Framework for Raising Thriving Teens by Ellen Galinsky Ellen Galinsky Takes Us Through The Breakthrough Years and Raising Thriving Teens (Tilt Parenting Podcast) Graphic Medicine Bill Waterson (Calvin & Hobbes) The Addiction Inoculation: Raising Healthy Kids in a Culture of Dependence by Jessica Lahey Jess Lahey on Her New Book The Addiction Inoculation (Tilt Parenting Podcast) Learn more about your ad choices. “Why do you want to fight me?!” exclaims Rolling Stone AU/NZ Editor-in-Chief Poppy Reid when Tash Sultana suggests they should don the boxing gloves in aid of Sultana's charity I AM ME. “Corporate fighter. Let's go," they excitedly propose. In the latest episode of 'Behind The Rolling Stone Cover', brought to you by Shure, Reid sat down with Sultana to discuss their persistence to work through COVID, how their music has evolved from a one-person stage show, and how they became a minor celebrity in a retirement village (with some thanks to Sultana's cheeky ‘Pa).

I would just release songs as I felt that they were ready and I would share them.“The title track to this album, ‘I Am Me,' there's a story in that. It's basically my transition. It iswhen I said I'm going to do this, I'm going to put this out, this is going to happen and going to be confident. It's a very self reflective album. So many of the songs express different versions of myself.”Kaycee said one song, “Falling In Love” was released prior to the album hitting the streamingplatforms and gave her audience a preview of the album. The other songs have been comingtogether for some time now.“They're all written by me,” Kaycee said. “Some of the songs I've been working on for a whileand they were kind of on hold and some are a lot newer. The album has a broad style to it, it's notjust one style or one direction. Some of the songs are more emotional, some of them are morehigh energy. Some of the songs are supposed to be more of an uplifting feel. I want people toreally be able to feel the emotion behind the music.”Born and raised in the beautiful high plains of Billings, Montana, Kaycee B brings a new twist toa soul, R&B and pop vibe with a different feel. She sings with a very wide range of vocals and alot of controlled movement.

Everything we create in our lives is the result of what we think in response to the circumstances we experience. One of the tools we use to become aware of why we are creating our current results is the Model. But what about understanding our inherent identity? We know that we are all children of God, born with unique gifts and talents, but what are some ways that we can discover our unique identity? On today's episode I talk with Identity coach, Tyson Bradley., who has developed one Method to answer that question, called the I AM ME method.Tyson Bradley is the host of the Inherent Identity Podcast and the Author of the book Reclaim Your Inherent Identity: The 5 Steps To Instant and Lasting Change. He is happily married and the proud father of 2 redheaded girls and baby boy. He has studied mindset and behavior change over the past 10 years and has finally cracked the code on the fastest way to make change happen. Tyson will walk us through each step of his I A.M. M.E. method and explain how using his I A.M. M.E. method awakens the remembrance of our inherent identity, and explain how pairing the model with his method helps us make the changes we want to make in an easier, more aligned way. They use Kurt's calling as an example of how to apply this method. 15:00 I is for Ideal. What is the ideal version of this experience? It could be a goal or a church calling that you really want to improve on. 19:40 A is for Amplify. Take your ideal and amplify it. A lot of times we think small but this helps us to think big. 27:00 M is for movement. What is the next step I need to take? 33:45 M is for Manifesto. Evoke is like to remember. Remember our identity. 49:30 Tyson guides us through the I am me method. Ideal - What would you love to experience? What's your ideal? Amplify - What would be the 10x or dramatized version of your ideal? Visualize it. Take time to be grateful for it. Movement - what is my next step? What is the one thing I need to do next? Manifesto - creating your action step and turning it into an identity. Evoke - Wake up in the morning and remind yourself of who you are and your true identity everyday. 53:30 Tyson encourages people to change the way they pray. One way that Tyson likes to change his prayers is by writing his prayers down. Kurt writes down 3 gratitudes and 3 glories to God that helps his prayers be more meaningful. 57:50 Tyson shares his testimony and final thoughts on leadership and Jesus Christ. "This is the type of show that could be seen anywhere and could speak to anyone, or at least that's what my hope, that's my dream.” This week on Speak The Speech, we are joined by performer, writer and composer Laura Murphy. Laura shares how she came to discover Shakespeare and her journey dissecting and adapting A Midsummer Night's Dream into the new Australian pop musical THE LOVERS. She talks about finding those “musical moments”, developing the characters and the creative process in writing a new musical. Laura Murphy is a performer, writer and composer whose latest project, The Lovers, will premiere at the Sydney Opera House in October 2022, produced by Bell Shakespeare. She was lyricist and composer for the critically acclaimed Australian musical The Dismissal and the “fierce and fabulous” immersive dance musical Qween Lear. She began writing and composing in 2009, creating the music and lyrics for the Channel Nine TV series William and Sparkle's Magical Tales, in which she also starred as Sparkles the Fairy. She went on to write and compose for several TV programs including Magical Tales: Surprises, Imagination Train and I Am Me. Laura's latest original work, Zombie! The Musical will be presented as part of Hayes Theatre Co's 2023 season. Laura's performance credits include the Australian Tour and World Premiere production of Muriel's Wedding The Musical; Cry Baby with LPD Productions; the Australasian tour of Grease and Hayes Theatre Co's You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown for which Laura received a Sydney Theatre Award. THE LOVERS is playing at Sydney Opera House until 20 November 2022. Get your tickets: www.bellshakespeare.com.au/the-lovers

Do you bully your body? How to get unstuck from your body negative thoughts! IME Body Image Thoughts to Think for June! Welcome to summer! Whew! So far, it’s been a whirlwind for our family with my daughter’s graduation from High School and tomorrow I’m headed to Texas to move my oldest daughter into a new house (for her) with new roommates! I’m grateful I get to do it. IME is six months or half a year, however you slice up that summer fruit, through a year of self-love superpower mantras! This glorious month of June let’s do fun stuff and get out of self-judging and hating on our bodies. We just wrapped up Celebrate Measures of Success in May. You get to decide how to measure your success. How’d you do? If you were busy like me and didn’t get to it, no worries (I can’t stand when the Starbucks drive-thru person says, “No worries” after I place my order), you can create your measures of success this month. Since I’m on social media a lot and lately have been going all in with my cancel diet culture posts, helping everyone stop their pursuit of thin privilege and live their magical lives, I figure June would be a great month to focus on body image. Do you bully your body? Do you have a certain body part that you fixate on wanting to fix? We all do sometimes. We all have parts of us that we would choose to change. Maybe you can and that’s okay too. Maybe once you realize you can, you will decide not to. Any decisions we make about making health behavior change or taking action in life must come from a place of self-acceptance and self-love. We cannot hate ourselves to what we want. Lots of psychology and coaching research shows this. It’s called PEA or Positive Emotion Activation. It’s cool stuff. After years of being a pediatrician and taking care of so many patients, I can assure you that once you decide to focus on what you want in life and you have full love and acceptance for yourself, the healthy lifestyle changes become so easy. I’ve seen this time and time again with my patients and with myself. One of the obstacles in our way is staying stuck in negative body image thoughts or staying attached to thoughts that don’t serve us. I’m not asking you to flip a body positive switch and just love yourself all day. That’s cheesy and not realistic. When you say the letters I M E out loud, it sounds like I aM mE. The power of you as an individual with the support of a body positive community. How cool is that? Here’s a quick tip: Wear clothes right now that are comfortable that you love and feel-good in. If you have stuck thoughts that are creating negative body image feelings and actions, try my IME Community June Body Image Thoughts to Think! 6/1 I define beauty by actions. 6/2 If I want to change something about my physical appearance, I don’t make it mean that I’m sacrificing my values. 6/3 I am deciding not to decide right now. 6/4 I am never stuck. 6/5 I fully love and accept myself no matter what. 6/6 I make decisions from a healthy place of self-love and self-acceptance. 6/7 Self-acceptance is always available to me like a nice warm blanket. 6/8 I don’t let society define me or make decisions for me. 6/9 It’s okay to wish something was different about me. 6/10 Imayre-decideatanytime. 6/11 When I decide, there is no right or wrong. 6/12 Ialwayslikemyreasonsfordeciding. 6/13 Icancreateathoughtaboutmyselfthatservesme. 6/14 Itrustmyselftostopself-judging. 6/15 Therearesomanybeautifulthingsaboutme. 6/16 Iamkindtomyselfnomatterwhat. 6/17 I don’t have to be perfect. I just want you to get unstuck from attachment to body negative thoughts. Let me know what self-love superpower mantra theme you want for July! Stay tuned for my upcoming Cut the Cringe Life Coaching Workshops for Parents of Teens where I will coach you to cancel diet culture and raise a body positive teen in a body negative world! Hey, Whether you are a teen, parent, physician, healthcare provider, teacher or school administrator, listen up! I want you to know that I'm coaching you on a very sensitive topic in this first blog of my ongoing series. In my teens and weight bullying series, I'm talking about bullying and its harmful effects, how common it is, who's at risk, the different types of bullying, but, most importantly, what you can do about it. Did you know that any type of bullying affects your health? Make sure you work with your pediatrician or family doctor and/or seek help from a licensed mental health provider to address your individual situation and potential mental health effects. I would love for you to go to stopbullying.gov to check out their helpful resources. Also, I’m not going to get into bullying and intersectionality in this first blog. Intersectional bullying happens based on race, gender, income, sexual orientation, etc. I’ll talk more about intersectional bullying in upcoming blogs in this series. Basically, a bully is someone who is willing to weaponize what they perceive as a weakness, with their only goal to make themselves feel powerful. Bullies seek to control the narrative. Maybe they were bullied? It’s often the case. When I coach teens who have been bullied and parents of children and teens who have been weight bullied, I try to stay out of getting in the lane of the “bully/victim”. In other words, stay out of trying to figure out the bully’s motivation for bullying. They have shown you who they are. Let’s focus on what you can do. We can’t control or fix or solve the bully’s actions, but we can certainly create a plan that includes boundaries so it stops for you if you’re being bullied. One of the main reasons to set boundaries is to make sure you don’t internalize the bully’s messaging. I don’t want you to feel powerless and believe what the bully says about you or feel like if you change yourself, the bullying will stop or you will finally “fit in”. Another harmful consequence of weight bullying in teens is restricting yourself by dieting, which causes harm on top of harm. The bullying is harmful, let’s not create more harm for ourselves with the punishing restriction of calories. By the way, if you cope with the stress of bullying by overeating or binging, give yourself a massive break. It’s okay. You’re not alone. Check out my IME 5 Steps to say I aM mE, which are my 5 easy steps to full love and acceptance and the first step to self-love superpower. Recognize, that self-acceptance is available to you all the time. If you’re bullied, pull out your nice warm invisible self-acceptance blanket and say, “I fully love and accept myself.” Try some other mantras like, “Bullying is unacceptable. I accept myself no matter what.” Put your hand over your heart and give yourself a nurturing hug. “I’m not powerless. I am not stuck.” “This is so hard. I won’t be hard on myself.” “I can set healthy boundaries for myself.” “What they said has nothing to do with me.” “I will set boundaries and let them be them and live my amazing life.” Have you been bullied because of your weight? Or, for any reason? Studies show that it's more common than we like to think. Unfortunately, some people still believe enduring bullying is a rite of passage into adulthood. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bullying is a preventative health issue. It's important to recognize and address bullying or it can cause long-term harm. According to a 2012 Weight-Based Victimization (WBV) Study, published in Pediatrics, “WBV is prevalent in treatment-seeking youth, who report victimization from peers (92%), friends (70%), parents (37%), and teachers (27%).” If you’re a physician, let’s start by listening and validating the stories of our patients’ experience with weight-based victimization. Life in America is a bullying obstacle course for youth with weight struggles. “I’m ostracized everywhere I go because of my weight. Sitting in class. Everywhere.”-Jessica, age 18 When I heard Jessica, one of my patients say this, it broke my heart. Jessica (not her name) is absolutely wonderful and is living a very successful life. She’s so strong and has been through and overcome so much in her life. The last thing she needs to deal with is weight-based bullying. My initial thought was give me the names of whoever is bullying you and I’ll make some calls. I felt so protective of Jessica. If only it were that simple. A trusted adult makes a call and it stops. It may not be that simple, but know that you are not alone. You are not alone. There are trusted adults who want to help you and will create a plan to stop the bullying. It may be as simple as making a phone call, but usually you need to put a bit more planning in place. Learning how to set healthy boundaries for yourself is a skill that you are not taught in school. More often than not, families and society can be pretty intrusive and boundaryless. Even if you are a victim of bullying, you are not powerless. I coach a lot on boundaries and relationships in IME Community. I coach on setting some boundaries for yourself so you are able to show up with clarity for yourself. First, bullying is not acceptable and must be recognized and called out as unacceptable. Next, let's step up as trusted adults and work with the school (teacher and/or counselor) if that's where the bullying is happening, and create a plan to stop the bullying so school is a safe place. Here’s what's needed from parents, physicians and educators to help stop bullying: Support Build Skills Connect to resources School Involvement Referral to mental health provider Follow-up to check in How to support the "bully/victim" is important too. A harsh approach does not work. Make sure you check out stopbullying.gov and make sure you Join IME Community to get even more coaching to create healthy boundaries! IME Community is a safe space, a Body Positive Community for Teens in a Body Negative World! Self-love superpower, Dr. Karla, ActivistMD See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Description: In this episode, Jhaimy introduces the Andean concept of Ñyo Kan Kani (I Am Me). He shares that one of the main sicknesses for humanity today is the need for “understanding”. Ñyo Kan Kani is not simply understanding yourself, but it is an action; a relationship that goes beyond knowing yourself and looks deeper at how you act in relationship with yourself, and how you hold yourself in this relationship. While we may not have the capacity to understand ourselves, or our full reality, we can accept that we exist and respect who we are – I Am Me. This relationship with ourselves, between I and Me, then leads us to a greater ability to live in harmony with the “we”. Quotes: “Who are we to understand everything? Accept - And when you accept that you exist, when you accept your Ñyo Kan Kani – or that I am me - you are beginning to create a relationship between me and I.” “When you live in a beautiful relationship with you, you have the way to create beautiful relationships with the others; internally and externally, in macro and in micro, in the physical form, and in the spiritual form.” Receive a FREE guided meditation for healing and balance with Jhaimy here: www.childrenofthe7rays.com/meditation
Childless not by choice Sadly, 1 in 5 women reach 45, childless and we need to understand more about how it makes that affected feel. With 1 in 3 pregnancies ending in miscarriage and there still not being adequate emotional support readily available for those unwilling to ask for it, more needs to be done to get online communities heard about. Fertility Fest 2018 I met Steph Phillips, founder of World Childless Week at Fertility Fest 2018 where she spoke about her experience of being childless not by choice on a panel called 'The Unborn Child' which you can hear. I was keen to talk more about what Steph has created, especially as in 2017 when she launched World Childless Week, the 100 blog posts she shared over a week in September were read 123,000 times and the hashtag #worldchildlessweek was retweeted over a 1.2million times. Growing Minority 48.5 million couples are childless, that is a lot of people! Steph spoke about being this growing minority and how 'We're still not understood by people and her mission is to change this. Having created four Facebook groups and a constantly growing worldwide community Steph shared some of the ways in which the groups help each other. For example, coping mechanisms such as how to refer to yourself when asked awkward questions, how to deal with holiday seasons, how Men need a voice too, and how the best support is from people who are going through what you are going through as they'll understand it 100% Of the four Facebook groups Steph has created two of them are - the main childless week one and this one. You can also follow Steph on Twitter or on Instagram Excited to think that #IamMe is all that we need to be. No label, not a #mother not a #father not #childless or #childfree just I AM ME https://t.co/H0juyQNxrg — Stephanie Phillips (@ChildlessWeek) July 25, 2018 Infertile Friendly My second guest is Emily Wardman, who has created Infertile Friendly. I also spoke to Emily Wardman who talked about her eight-year struggle with infertility and how she has had to sit in Wards and waiting rooms for hours watching the excited women who were pregnant with their partners. Emily's Goal 'Make our NHS hospital wards and waiting rooms across the UK infertile friendly' There are 3.5m people affected by infertility in the UK. Yet their experience of our hospitals & surgeries only adds to their grief and pain. Women who have suffered miscarriage, hysterectomies, gynae operations, etc are placed in maternity wards/waiting rooms surrounded by pregnant women & babies. Welcome to another episode of Broken Records, where Stephen Hill and Remfry Dedman take a deep breath, hold their nose and dive head first into some of the stinkiest musical moments ever in search for the very worst album of all time. Today we're looking at I Am Me, the second full length record by US pop-rocker Ashlee Simpson, released on the 18th of October 2005. With us both being UK based, we don't actually know all that much about Miss Simpson. She never really cracked Britain, in fact all she is really known for is what she is most known for the world over - being the pop star who was “scandalously” caught lip-syncing on a 2004 episode of Saturday Night Live. Being a pop star (pop stars mime a lot by the way, SPOILER!) you'd think that this would be something of a non-event, but in actuality it became a massive great bastard stick to beat Simpson with for some time. Her career suffered a significant nose dive after the event, but rather than sit at home and mope, she got back in the studio and decided to chronicle her feelings in her second album. Which is what we get here. It's not exactly groundbreaking, with Simpson claiming the record would lean on influences from the 80's whilst being 'rawer' and 'realer', yet confusingly crediting her stylist, make up artist and hairdresser in the linear notes of the record. EH?! Still, did she redeem herself or does she show herself up to be the cynical pop puppet prat that the media spun her as?... Originally from New Jersey Peirrce “Peach” McCoy now calls Delaware home. She is the LGBTQ Chair for the Central Delaware NAACP. She not only has a seat at the table, but she wrote the “menu” personally writing and delivering to the organization guidelines for the committee. I Am Me is more than the name of her non-profit organization. For Peirrce “Peach” McCoy "I am me!" has been her life statement expressing her commitment to bringing her full self, unapologetically to everything she does and spreading that gospel to other members of Delaware's LGBTQIA community. I Am Me was created to combat the continuous discrimination LGBTQIA people face in their personal lives, workplaces, and other social settings that can have detrimental effects on their psyche affecting their financial, mental and physical well-being. I Am Me Inc. was formed to offer safe social spaces with programs that uplift and unify the LGBTQ community. Through its Seminars, Workshops, Forums and Events I Am Me builds positive relationships between the LGBTQ+ community and its Allies to educate Delaware and end discrimination.

It's time to bring more to the table! I AM ME is back with an upgrade! Let's lock in.
Today I'm spilling the tea about my struggles with imposter syndrome and how me being the "pivoting queen" is actually a way to hide my gifts from the world! I've been praised over the last year for how easy I pivot when things shift in my life. Although it is a gift I have to be able to flow from one thing to the next, it isn't always for the best! Most of the time I was deep down, without knowing, doing it out of fear of failing. If I never pushed past uncomfortable, I never had to be successful or fail. I have hyperawareness in my situation and for the first time in my life I need to "DO LIFE" instead of "JUST BEING". For most people, it's the opposite they need to learn to be and be aware. I need to push and DO the things. I now know that I can not do it alone and that is why connection, communication, community are so important to me. I am part of a leadership circle, I have aligned business mentors, and I have released those mentors that were just keeping me busy in the busy work on the business. I've leaned into being messy. Taking massive, fast, messy action. And getting clear on what I really want in my life, not what someone else tells me I want with my life. In that clarity and speed, I feel unstoppable. No more hiding my spiritually, my beliefs in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. No more hiding my connection to the planet and energy healing. No more being quite like I've been told to do all my life. I'm ready to scream from the mountain. I AM ME and THAT IS ENOUGH TO BE WORTHY! Want to check out the entire episode. Listen above! I was honored to talk with Brandon McDermott, award winning author of his memoir "Abandon Brandon" and award winning broadcast journalist. There is healing in writing our stories and having the courage to share our stories. You may know him as the hilarious TikTok (1 million+ followers and counting) Lunch Box Reviews phenom. Brandon's story is one of childhood trauma and resilience. Brandon is a true example of the unlimited power and potential of "I aM mE" to create your own narrative of redemption along with the power of belonging to communities of belonging that you create. I have given this talk countless times and it is one of my favorites because it resonates so beautifully for so many people. My favorite social worker of all time was Virginia Satir. I first "met" Virginia in 1997, when I was introduced to her poem, I AM ME. I AM ME is a manifesto of self-acceptance, self-compassion and authenticity. I was absolutely captivated by her spirit and wanted to learn as much about her as possible. Almost 20 years later, I was given the opportunity to do a week long intensive on Satir's work and was introduced to her "self-esteem" toolkit. The toolkit includes a magic wand, a wisdom box, a heart, a courage stick, a key of possibility, a yes/no medallion and a magnifying glass. All of the "tools" are considered inner resources that we can call on whenever we need to come back to ourselves. I was completely fascinated and could not wait to incorporate this work with clients and I also got super excited about what seemed to be a nod to the Wizard of Oz. I would later come across, Jean Houston's book, The Wizard of Us. I could not get enough of the rich metaphors, archetypes and wisdom about self-discovery, the power of storms to transform us and HOME. Several months later, I was asked to do a talk at the Inspiration Lab Conference in Wilmington, NC about overcoming storms as our community was beginning to heal from the devastation of Hurricane Florence. I wove together Satir and Houston and Lisa and this is where I landed.
