In this enlightening lecture, Dr. Mufti Abdur-Rahman Mangera delves into the profound insights of Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali on the journey of the soul from death to resurrection, as explored in his celebrated works, particularly "Dhikr al-Mawt wa-ma Ba'dahu" (Remembrance of Death and What Follows). Drawing from Imam Ghazali's meticulous treatment of the stages of the afterlife, the lecture covers key topics such as the reality of death, the soul's separation from the body, the experiences of the grave (Barzakh), and the eventual resurrection (Qiyamah). With a blend of theological depth and spiritual reflection, Dr. Mangera brings clarity to Ghazali's perspective on how one's deeds shape the soul's state after death and offers practical advice for living a life of awareness, preparation, and moral responsibility.

The Kalima & The Water Jug "Glorification with the praise of Allah (SWT) on the page (ie record) of the Believer is better for him_(ie whether you comprehend it or not) than_for golden mountains _of this_world to move about with him (ie at his disposal) (Baihaqi). Allah (SIT) has not favoured anyone of His servants with anything better than that He (SWT) gives him to His Zhikr (Tabarani). "Strengthen the bond between you and your Lord (SWT) with an abundance of Zikir (Ibn Majah). "Allah (SWT) Says, "I (SWT) am with My servant when he remembers Me (SWT) and his lips move to remember Me (SWT) (Ahmad). Glorification when seeking a need is better than a camel full of milk which one of you brings during a year of famine (Ibn Abi Shahbah). "When a group of people gather, the closest of them to Allah (SWT) is the one who begins by mentioning Allah (SWT) until they are all flowing in His Remembrance. When a group of people gathers, the one furthest from Allah (SWT) is the one who begins with evil and then makes them all engrossed with it (Abu Nu'aym).
The Messenger ﷺ used to prefer silent Zhikr which could not be heard even by the guardian (Angels [as]), as being 70 times superior (ie to the loud Zhikr). Any servant who lays his head down on his bed and remembers Allah (SWT) Most High will then be written as remembering (ie Allah [SWT]) until he awakes - whenever he awakens (Ibn Al Mubarak). "O Allah (SWT), exalt Muhammad ﷺ, Your servant and Messenger ﷺ and exalt the Believers, men and women - and the Muslims, men and women (Ibn Hibaan). Much Zhikrullaah and Salaatun Nabee ﷺ banishes poverty ( Ithaaf). Send Salaah upon me ﷺ, for this is a Zakaah for you (Ahmad). Whoever desires to be given a full reward when invoking Blessings upon my household should recite, O Allah (SWT), exalt Muhammad ﷺ the Prophet, his Wives the Mothers of the Believers, his offspring and the people of his Household - as You exalted Ibraaheem (A.S.) -truly You are the Praiseworthy, Majestic (Abo Dawood). Whoever likes this that Allah SWT is pleased with him when he is presented in the Court of Allah SWT should then recite Salaah upon me ﷺ in abundance (Musnad). Undoubtedly, the one amongst you to gain the quickest relief on the Day of Judgement from its horrors and the reckoning will be the one who recited Salaah upon me ﷺ in abundance (Musnad). 'Recite Salaah upon me ﷺ (then) Allah (SWT) will send mercy upon you (Ibn Adee). Adorn your assemblies with invoking Blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ (Ibn Assakir).

Understanding Tarbiyah Islamiyah: Nurturing Faith through Islamic Education1. IntroductionTarbiyah Islamiyah refers to the comprehensive Islamic upbringing that nurtures a believer's faith, character, and actions. It involves spiritual growth, ethical conduct, and acquiring beneficial knowledge. In this article, we explore the importance of Islamic education through Quranic and Hadith references.2. Submission to Allah's CommandsA believer submits completely to Allah's will, without question."It is not for a believing man or woman—when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter—to have any other choice in that matter. Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone far astray." (Quran 33:36)True submission is an essential aspect of Islamic education, leading to contentment and obedience.3. The Importance of Good CharacterIslamic education emphasizes good manners and humility. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:"Every religion has its distinct characteristic, and the distinct characteristic of Islam is modesty." (Sunan Ibn Majah 4182)Cultivating good character through Tarbiyah Islamiyah strengthens individual and community ties.4. Love for Allah and His MessengerA core aspect of Islamic education is fostering love for Allah and His Messenger."Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness of faith: 1. The one to whom Allah and His Messenger become dearer than anything else. 2. Who loves a person solely for Allah's sake. 3. Who hates to revert to disbelief as he hates to be thrown into the Fire." (Sahih al-Bukhari 16)5. Remembering AllahFrequent remembrance of Allah brings tranquility and strengthens faith."Remember Me; I will remember you. And thank Me, and never be ungrateful." (Quran 2:152)Regular recitation of Dhikr (remembrance) is a key practice taught in Islamic education.6. Seeking Forgiveness and RepentanceRepentance is a means of purification and renewal of faith."O people, seek repentance from Allah. Verily, I seek repentance from Him a hundred times a day." (Sahih Muslim 2702b)"And turn to Allah in repentance all together, O believers, so that you may be successful." (Quran 24:31)7. Having Good Thoughts of AllahMaintaining a positive perception of Allah is encouraged."Allah says: 'I am just as My slave thinks I am, and I am with him if he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I remember him in Myself; if he remembers Me in a group, I remember him in a better group. If he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.'" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7405)Trusting in Allah's mercy and having hope in His forgiveness are important lessons in Tarbiyah Islamiyah.8. ConclusionIslamic education is a lifelong journey of spiritual and moral development. Through sincere submission, good character, love for Allah and His Messenger, remembrance of Allah, repentance, and positive thinking, Muslims nurture their faith and strive for success in this life and the Hereafter.May Allah guide us all on the path of righteousness. Saying SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah is important, but true dhikr extends beyond words. This constant remembrance is not just through words but through our hearts, actions, and consciousness. When we continuously remember Allah, we draw closer to His mercy, protection, and guidance. Allah's remembrance is not just for rewards—it is a path out of darkness and into the light of guidance, truth, and justice. Are we truly living in the remembrance of Allah, or are we just reciting words without acting upon them? Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPdEo4myWHo

Posebno obliko ritualne invokacije v islamu pomeni vrtenje dervišev.
