The Fulness of the Story of Christmas This Sunday episode is based off this talk in 2016 from a Christmas Devotional. "Chritmas invites feelings of tenderness, joy and love". 2025 is coming to a close, what did you learn?
Because Christ is the Perfect Image of the invisible God, our all-powerful Creator and Redeemer, we must entrust all we are and have to Him and praise Him as Lord and Savior of all. I. Christ is Preeminent as Creator of All Things (1) He is the Perfect Image of the Invisible God (2) He is the First-Born of Creation (3) He is Before All Thing (4) He Holds All Things Together II. Christ is Preeminent as Redeemer of All Things (1) He is the Head of the Church (2) He is the Beginning (3) He is the Firstborn from the Dead (4) He is Preeminent (5) He is the One in Whom the Fulness of God Dwells (5) He is Our Savior Who Reconciles Us to God by the Blood of His Cross
Jesus didn't just happen to be born at a convenient moment in history. When Paul writes that Christ came "in the fullness of time," he's revealing something profound: from the fall of Adam to the manger in Bethlehem, God was preparing the way. In this episode, Dr. John Neufeld walks through seven pivotal moments in redemptive history, showing how each was necessary for the Messiah's arrival. Christmas wasn't an accident. It was the culmination of God's perfectly timed plan.Christmas From Galatians: This Christmas, Dr. John takes an unprecedented approach to the season by exploring why Jesus' coming was absolutely necessary. Through the book of Galatians, this series traces God's plan from Abraham's promise through the giving of the Law to the arrival of Christ. Discover why the Law was never meant to save us but to diagnose our condition, how Jesus fulfilled what we could never accomplish, and how Christmas opened the door for all people to become sons and daughters of God.
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BY BRINGING BACK THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF EARLY AMERICA: GEORGE WHITEFIELD
IF YOU HAVE EVER HAVE WONDERED IF THE SCRIPTURES DEFINITIVELY PROVE THAT JESUS IS GOD, THEN THIS MESSAGE BY GEORGE WHITEFIELD IS THE MESSAGE TO LISTEN TO FOR HE EASILY AND SUCCINCTLY SHOWS FOR ALL TO SEE THE DIVINITY OF CHRIST. ALSO HE PROVES THAT GOOD WORKS FOLLOW THE NEW CREATION, NOT VICE VERSA OR COLLABORATIVELY. EXCERPTS FROM GEORGE WHITEFIELDS SERMON ENTITLED: ‘WHAT THINK YE OF CHRIST'“Besides, many Deceivers are gone abroad into the World. Mere Heathen Morality, and not JESUS CHRIST, is preached in most of our Churches. And how should People think rightly of CHRIST, of whom they have scarcely heard? Do bear with me a little then, whilst, to inform your Consciences, I ask you a few Questions concerning JESUS CHRIST: For there is no other Name given under Heaven, whereby we can be saved, but his.And First, What think you 〈…〉 the Person of CHRIST? Whose Son is he? This is the Question our LORD put to the Pharisees in the Words fol|lowing the Text; and never was it more necessary to repeat this Question than in these last Days. For Numbers that are called after the Name of CHRIST, and I fear, many that pretend to preach him, are so far advancedin the blasphemous Chair, as openly to deny his being really, TRULY and PROPERLY GOD. But NO ONE that ever was Partaker of his Spirit, will speak thus lightly of him. NO;if they are asked, as Peter and his Brethren were, but whom say ye that I am? they will reply without Hesitation, Thou art CHRIST the Son of the everliving GOD. For the Confession of our Lord's Divinity, “is “the Rock upon which be builds his Church. Was it possible to take this away, the Gates of Hell would quickly pre|vail against it.—My Brethren, if JESUS CHRIST be not very GOD of very GOD, I would never preach the Gospel again. For it WOULD NOT be Gos|pel; it would be only a System of moral Ethicks: Seneca, Cicero, or any of the Gentile Philosophers would be as good a Saviour as JESUS of Nazareth.is the Divinity of our LORD that gives a Sancti|on on to his Death, and makes him such a High-Priest as became us, viz. One who by the infinite Merits of his Suffering could make a full, perfect, sufficient Sacrifice, Satisfaction and Oblation to an infinitely offended Justice. And whatever Minister of the Church of England, makes use of her Forms, and eats of her Bread, and yet holds not this Doctrine (as I fear too many such are crept in amongst us) such a one belongs only to the Synagogue of Satan.—He is not a Child or Minister of GOD: No; he is a Wolf in Sheep's Cloathing, he is a Child and Minister of that Wicked One the Devil. Many will think these hard Sayings: But I think it no Breach of Charity to affirm, that an Arian or Socinian cannot be a Christian.—The one would make us believe JESUS CHRIST is only a Created God, which is a Self-Contradiction. And the other would have us look on him only as a Good Man, and instead of owning his Death to be an Atonement for the Sins of the World, would persuade us, that CHRIST died only to seal the Truth of his Doctrine with his Blood. But “if “JESUS CHRIST be no more than a mere Man, if he be not truly GOD, he was the vilest Sinner that ever appeared in the World.—For he accepted of Divine Adoration from the Man who had been born blind, as we read John ix. 38. And he said, LORD I believe, and WORSHIPPED him. Besides, if CHRIST be not properly GOD, our Faith is vain, we are yet in our Sins:—For no created Being, tho' of the highest Order, could possibly merit any thing at GOD's Hands: No, it was our LORD's Divinity, that alone qualified him to take away the Sins of the World; and therefore we hear St. the like Reason, St. Paul says, that he was in the Form of GOD.—That in him dwelt all the Fulness of the Godhead bodily.—Nay, JESUS CHRIST himself assumes the Title which GOD gave to himself,. Before Abraham, was, says he, “I AM”
Todaywe're continuing to look at the prayer, the petition that the Apostle Paul madefor the church at Ephesus here in Ephesians 3:14-19. It's very important thatwe remember that as Paul prayed this prayer, these four petitions have to dowith Christian growth, Christian maturity. Paul was concerned that every mancould be made perfect, mature in Jesus Christ. That was his goal. Not just towin people to Christ and say, "Oh, another one's going to heaven."But that he could present these dear believers before Christ as mature peoplewho have learned to live for the Lord, love the Lord, and let the Lord live Hislife through their lives. (Colossians 1:27-29). Myfriend, this is what Paul toiled, struggled, and prayed for. This is what weneed, to “be filled with all the fullness of God”. This is whatwe need to pray for other believers. In verse 14, Paul said, "For thisreason I bow my knees." He had a purpose when he prayed. I mean, when Ipray, I want something to happen. I want God to make a difference in the livesof people. I pray for a reason, not just to say some words with my head bowedand my eyes closed, but praying with purpose. It'sso important we understand that when we are obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ, andwe are obedient to the Holy Spirit when He speaks to us and gives us an assignment, that there is an energy that begins at that moment of obedience. It's anemotional energy. It's a physical energy. It's a mental energy. Most of all,it's a spiritual energy that energizes us to do the will of God. So, with ourmind, we say, "I want to do the will of God. I will do the will ofGod." But then when we're obedient to put our foot forward, to raise ourhand to say, "Here I am, Lord, send me." Or then we go forward in theservice, go to Bible college, or volunteer to take that Sunday school class, orwhatever it is, at that moment of obedience, we have a new energy and power todo God's will. Toget out of bed in obedience and spend another 10 minutes before we leave forwork, reading our Bibles, and spending some time in prayer with the Lord, asking for grace for the day, dealing with the issues of the day in prayerbefore we begin the day. That energy that comes when we're obedient to read HisWord, obedient to pray, obedient to go to church, obedient to share our faithwith others around us. That's when we experience the energizing strength andpower of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Paulsays, "That's what I'm praying for, that Christ may dwell in your heartsthrough faith." It's by faith we live. We do not walk by sight. We do notlook at the things that are seen, but the things that are unseen, the thingsthat are eternal. We see God at work around us. We join Him in that work. Webecome a part of what He's doing. We're co-laborers with God and with others asthe Gospel is being shared. We then experience God in a new and a fresh wayevery day. ThenPaul prays that, "you may be able tocomprehend with all the saints ... and be filled with all the fullness of God”. We both comprehend and apprehend.Comprehend means that we mentally know this is what God's truth is. Toapprehend means that we make it our own. We grab hold of it. We lay hold on GodHimself and know it's God, Christ, the Holy Spirit working in us to do the willof God. Oh,my friend, what a wonderful life this is. It is then that we experience the “widthand length and depth and height of God's love. It is immeasurable. It's allabout the love of Christ that's found in the redemptive work of Christ on thecross of Calvary. We experience that love and we are filled with thefullness of God. We express God's life through our life. People see God in us. Because you'refilled with the fullness of God, which is being filled with the Holy Spirit. Godbless you as you meditate on these truths today for the glory of God.
Today, we turn to Paul's remarkable claim that the church - Jesus' body - is ‘the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.'
November 3-9As the Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel continued to unfold in the early 1840's, one revealed doctrine thrilled the Latter-day Saints beyond imagination. Yes, there were some references to this doctrine in the Holy Bible, but no Christian denomination at that time understood it, and none practiced it. When the Prophet Joseph first made public this amazing truth on Saturday, August 15, 1840, many of the Saints present were so excited, they immediately ran to the Mississippi River to begin the practice. And what is this doctrine? Baptism for the Dead. Today we'll talk about this glorious truth in detail.
If we check all the boxes by going to church, praying, and giving – does that mean we are guaranteed to be favored with the Presence of God’s Spirit? What does it mean to be Spirit filled? Are there ways we can act and think that will repel the Spirit of God? In this message, …
Richard speaks to us from Ephesians 3. Concentrating on verse 8 he draws out four points: Don't Hide in ...
As Paul concludes the first half of his letter, he's moved with awe by the thought of all that God is and has for us in Christ. That wonder is expressed in prayer that we would know and be filled more and more with the love of Christ. Join us as we look at "Filled with God's Fulness" from Ephesians 3:14-21
Joseph Smith and his counselors were deep in debt, so they went searching for buried treasure in Salem, Massachusetts, leading to one of the most remarkable sections of the Doctrine and Covenants! Did God really approve of their "follies," and what did they find that was "more treasures than one"? SUMMARY: Join us as we explore D&C 111–114, covering a pivotal and often misunderstood moment in early Church history and the profound doctrinal answers God gave in response to conflict and confusion. D&C 111 | The Salem Trip: We analyze the search for wealth to settle Church debt, the warning against "get-rich-quick" schemes , and the Lord's promise to Joseph Smith: "I have much treasure in this city for you" , shifting the focus from temporal silver to the spiritual treasure of souls and ancestry. D&C 112 | The Quorum of the Twelve: The Lord speaks directly to Thomas B. Marsh, President of the Twelve, to address "some few things in thine heart". The revelation is a powerful call to humility, urging him to "Be not partial" and let his "love abound unto all men". This section also outlines the authority given to the Twelve to "unlock the door of the kingdom" in the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times. D&C 113 | Q&A on Isaiah: Joseph Smith seeks clarity on Isaiah 11. The Lord reveals that the "Stem of Jesse" is Christ , and the "Rod" that comes from it is a servant in the hands of Christ—identified as Joseph Smith. We also discuss what it means for Zion to "put on thy strength" (priesthood authority) and loose the "bands of her neck". D&C 114 | Taking the Opportunity: In a stark warning against apostasy , the Lord calls David W. Patten to "settle up all his business" for a mission. The revelation teaches a critical principle: if leaders deny the Lord, others "shall be planted in their stead and receive their bishopric". CALL-TO-ACTION: Which of these four sections spoke most powerfully to you? Was it the call to patience with debt, the need for humility in leadership, the promised keys for the gathering, or the warning to take the "lifetime of an opportunity"? Fulness of the Godhead...
In this sermon, John covers Paul's letter to Corinthians where he discusses the aspect of the differences in the body of Christ, yet how they are drawn together as one. While we each are blessed with unique gifts, those gifts are designed to build up the body of Christ.
Paul Axton preaches: In this sermon, linking the left/brain right/brain theory of Iain McGilchrist with Paul's distinction between letter and Spirit, a connection is made between how it is the left hemisphere of the brain can take predominance in the same way the law can become its own end, and this is suspended in the opening up of Christ to the thought of God on the order of a full utilization of the right brain. This week I'm diving into Doctrine and Covenants 93—“Receive of His Fulness.” I talk about Elder Renlund's message on “Infuriating Unfairness” and the importance of being stone-catchers instead of stone-throwers, share some powerful listener stories about following the prophet, and explore how we grow grace by grace, just like the Savior did. We'll look at what it means to climb the ladder of exaltation one step at a time, how light and truth fill our lives as we keep the commandments, and why setting our own homes in order really matters. I hope this episode reminds you that you are a child of God with divine potential and that little by little, you can receive of His fulness. From the manual: “When you climb up a ladder,” Joseph Smith taught, “you must begin at the bottom, and ascend step by step, until you arrive at the top; and so it is with the principles of the gospel—you must begin with the first, and go on until you learn all the principles of exaltation” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith [2007], 268). Sometimes that ladder of exaltation seems impossibly high , but we were born to climb to the top. Whatever limitations we may see in ourselves, Heavenly Father and His Son see something glorious in us, something godlike. Just as Jesus Christ “was in the beginning with the Father,” so “ye were also” (Doctrine and Covenants 93:21, 23). Just as He “continued from grace to grace, until he received a fulness,” so also “you shall receive grace for grace” (verses 13, 20). The restored gospel teaches us about the true nature of God, and so it also teaches us about ourselves and what we can become. Despite the efforts of the “wicked one” (verse 39)—and despite what you feel you may lack—you are a literal child of God with the potential to “in due time receive of his fulness” (verse 19). https://youtu.be/3mzj-gBeAZg?si=2JS0EzsTV4gm4bkB https://youtu.be/JBX-InLxObI?si=F-5cI1YIb6x3UeAD https://youtu.be/tMRm1NfpQYQ?si=FECvAJzW-_fBCuAy https://youtu.be/VZljNTyemcU?si=LL_Bz98ayO9-pNN1 Check out my book, "Feasting on the Words of Christ," where I share a simple, five-step method for receiving answers to your prayers through the scriptures. August 25-31In this marvelous book of scripture, the Doctrine and Covenants, we learn things that we can know from no other source, including in rich measure the doctrine of pre-mortality, that we lived with Heavenly Parents, before this world was. In this week's lesson we will explore the purpose of mortality and this, one of the least known doctrines in the world of religion, the reality of a pre-mortal existence.

All across social media this week, there has been on topic and subject that's been getting more attention than anything else, and surprisingly, it has little to do with Trump authorizing airstrikes on the Iranian nuclear facilities. The main thing people are talking about is Replacement Theology, and how Christians have replaced the Jews as God's chosen people, and the Church has replaced Israel as the apple of God's eye. The fact that these things are not true does not stop people like Catholics and Calvinists from believing it. In my message today, I want to talk to you about the current state of the Jews and Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” Romans 11:25 (KJB)Today we held our very first Sunday Service at the Bible Believers House Church in the Bookstore, we had a full house and it was a blessing. The old hymns were sung, a strong message was preached, and when it was over we had a nice little Open Forum Q&A to close out the service. We praise the Lord for this open door, and invite you to come and be a part of what the Lord is doing at the Bookstore every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM EST. If we reflect on our lives we can notice a difference between doing our will and doing the wheel of another who calls us to places where we would not go on our own. Today's challenge from God is to learn how to hear his voice, and obey it. Only this leads to fullness of joy, purpose, and fruitfulness.

*Listen to the Show notes and podcast transcript with this multi-language player. SUMMARY: In this day, the sons are called to be one, as the Father and the Son are one. Since the first-century church Christ has provided the way for oneness. To the extent that we are open in our hearts to one another, the fullness of Christ creates the oneness. Every part of the Body of Christ is needed to contribute to that flow of oneness. We open our hearts to be perfected in this oneness. SHOW NOTES: The will of God for us is that we all may be one. When Christ said, “It is finished,” He was pointing to the fact that everything had been given for His believers to become one. The provision of Christ's presence to be one has not been perfected or the world would have believed in Jesus Christ. The Scriptures reveal that the provision for oneness is in the earth, we just need to believe by faith and make the commitment to become one. Our relationships should be the practical application of this oneness as we relate and function in our families, churches and other connections. The first-century church was an example, as they were of one heart and soul. (Acts 4:32). Thousands were brought into the church, because they witnessed the fullness of oneness in those believers. In every instance that we see barriers to the oneness, we need to determine to break down those barriers in ourselves and in our brothers. Christ's final prayer before His resurrection was that we be one—let us answer that call with all our hearts. QUOTATIONS: The fullness of Christ is already in the earth—in the Body of Christ. To the extent that we are open in our hearts to one another, that creates the oneness. God has already put His fullness the Body of Christ, but because of schisms, division, or whatever, we're not receiving. The hard hurdle is to be open to your brother with all his faults, “problems.” If we're not walking in it—not by theory, not by faith, but by actual experience—we have to look to ourselves, because the problem is not in Christ; the problem is within us.
Unity of the Faith and the Fulness of Christ Part 3 brings all the parts ttogether. The timing of the coming, the work of the Holy Spirit and the preaching of the apostles all worked together to achieve the unity of the Spirit. Romans 11:11-15, form the basis of the meaning of Romans 11:25-27. Does this text teach a yet future salvation of Israel in our day and time? Was Paul conveying a different message? Does it mean that a certain number of people would be saved and the rest forgotten or disregarded. You'll want to see what the Scriptures reveal on this topic. The unity of the faith delves into the meaning of the mystery of God, comparing it with other texts involving the mystery from Romans, Colossians and the Book of Revelation. Often the text is taken to mean unity among the modern sects today but none of those existed in the time of Paul. The unity of the faith must have a meaning applicable to the time and events occurring in the first century experience of the apostles and their audience. In this study, 1 of 3, the listener can discover what is meant by the subject of the unity of the faith, the fulness of God and the mystery. This week we are studying The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our prophet decided that to celebrate the restoration of the gospel and the first vision given to Joseph smith, instead of building a monument out of granite or stone, he would build one out of words. The monument of words the first presidency created is titled “The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: A Bicentennial Proclamation to the World.” It's a monument not just to the First Vision but also to everything Jesus Christ has done—and is still doing—since then. Children will learn these concepts:“God loves His children in every nation of the world.”The Restoration began with an answer to a question.Jesus Christ has restored His Church.“The heavens are open.”“Heavenly messengers came to instruct Joseph Smith”

Send us a textToday, we dive off into some deep studies, word meanings, and cross references of some of the best the Bible has to offer! We look at what it means for the fulness of the Godhead to dwell in Jesus bodily, how we are complete in Him, and the fact that He is the Head of all principality and power. We talk about what biblical circumcision means, and then we go into a good discussion regarding baptism. Friends, we once were dead in our sin, and now through Christ, we are dead to sin, and forgiven by Him. In our Q&A segment, we were asked the question: I have a friend who refuses to believe the Bible because he says it was written by men, so what can I say to him to help him see the truth? We invite you to be blessed by this episode, so come on and give it a listen today!
