TONIGHT'S STUDY: Tonight we have Part #5 with Dispensationalism Before Darby. In this study, we answer all the critics of dispensationalism who think that no one before John Nelson Darby and CI Scofield believed in or taught dispensationalism. In fact, dispensationalists appear as far back as the first and second centuries. But there was a problem, a huge problem that took the light of gospel truth and buried it in darkness for a thousand years. Tonight we show you everything you need to know about dispensationalism before Darby and Scofield!
Send us a textIn this episode, we continue or discussion of the division of the old law and the new law of Christ, in particular what Paul wrote in Galatians chapter 3, verses 5 through 29. The promise that God made to faithful Abraham is an important part of our discussion and we look at that in depth. We look at what was said about the purpose of Moses Law, how long it would last and how it was connected to the law of Christ. Two covenants are mentioned in our discussion of these two laws. We note what is said about them, how they relate to Christians today and what denominations have done relating to them. We move on to look at the separations or divisions in the Bible beginning with the Patriarchal period and then the Mosaic period and some of the important things that occurred in them. We return to Galatians chapter 3 for Paul's discussion of the seed promise that he tells us referred to Christ and was part of the covenant God had made with Abraham. We discuss this covenant and how it relates to the old law, the law of Moses. That old law was said to be a shadow of good things to come. In our next episode, we will look at what this means. Take about 30-minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we are saying. There is a transcript of this Buzzsprout episode provided for your convenience.
TONIGHT'S STUDY: Tonight we have Part #4 with Dispensationalism Versus Covenant Theology. In the Reformed and Calvinist traditions, they do not hold to a dispensational view, but rather to something called Covenant Theology. This system treats the entire Bible as one continuous redemptive covenant, blurring or ignoring distinctions between Israel and the Church. Covenant theologians tend to spiritualize or allegorize prophecy (especially Old Testament promises to Israel) and apply them to the Church. This is markedly different from the conclusions you arrive at with a dispensational (biblical) approach. On this episode, we give you everything you need to know to defend Bible truth against an argument supporting Calvinism, and win every time.
TONIGHT'S STUDY: Tonight we have Part #3 with The 7 Dispensations From Dispensational Truth. In his masterwork ‘Dispensational Truth' Clarence identifies 7 dispensations, and they are , in order, as follows:The Dispensation of InnocenceThe Dispensation of ConscienceThe Dispensation of Human GovernmentThe Dispensation of PromiseThe Dispensation of LawThe Dispensation of Grace (The Church Age)The Dispensation of the Kingdom (The Millennium)Larkin emphasized that the dispensations are God's method of testing man under different conditions of responsibility. Each one ends in failure, showing that man, apart from divine grace, cannot stand. He repeatedly warned against “spiritualizing” Israel's promises — they are literal and will be fulfilled in the Millennium. In this Bible Study, we give you everything that Larkin wants us to know about dispensations in the Bible.
TONIGHT'S STUDY: Tonight we have Part #2 with God's Progressive Revelation. We have an overview of every dispensation staring with creation and going all the way up into eternity. You will see how God reveals His Truth in stages, in a progressive revelation, until you get to where everything wraps up, and eternity begins. The Church Age is the only dispensation that has the full spectrum of revelation in front of us. Do you realize that no one in the New Testament had a New Testament? All this and more on tonight's Bible Study!
We live in a day and age where Bible truth and biblical revelation are under attack from without as well as from within. Christians are confused and unable to defend bedrock doctrinal pillars like the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church, eternal security, the Godhead, dispensations and dispensationalism. It is on this last topic we embark this evening on a brand-new multipart series on Biblical Dispensationalism.“If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;” Ephesians 3:2-5 (KJB)On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we begin what will be at least a 7-part look at dispensations in the Bible and dispensationalism as practiced in the Church and do the best we can to see what God's word has to say about these things. That dispensations exist is not up for debate as every time you open your Bible you are holding a Book that is divided into and Old Testament and a New Testament. That's two different dispensations before you ever get started, the only question is, how far does the trail extend? We know that Paul tells us to “rightly divide” the word of God, so divisions are absolutely in the Bible. In this series, we will give you all the information you need to first understand for yourself the truth behind biblical dispensations, and second to be able to engage in discussion on the topic accurately, intelligently and biblically with people you come in contact with.TONIGHT'S STUDY: We begin here in Part #1 with The Foundation — What Is Dispensationalism? Topics covered will include a definition and meaning of the term dispensation, the biblical basis for dispensational divisions, and an overview of main objections and misconceptions. PLEASE NOTE: In the first half hour of tonight's study, we will finish our look at Romans with the conclusion in chapter 16.
We go back in time and attend a hermeneutics class in 1976

Send us a textThe unfolding drama of human history follows a revealing pattern - one where humanity repeatedly rebels against God despite His patience and provision. In this episode of Chronicles of the End Times, we delve into the fascinating post-flood dispensation, examining how quickly mankind returned to rebellion after witnessing the most catastrophic divine judgment in history. From the Tower of Babel to God's scattering of nations, we trace how human government formed and failed when separated from divine guidance. The parallels to our modern technological "Babel" are striking - as global connectivity through the internet and AI creates new challenges that mirror ancient patterns. How should believers navigate a world where, as Daniel prophesied, "truth is thrown to the ground"?We explore why discerning truth matters more now than ever before. In an age of deepfakes, manipulated media, and competing narratives, how can we know what's real? The answer lies in returning to Scripture with renewed dedication. Not casual reading, but genuine study that anchors us amid deception. As Jesus declared Himself the embodiment of truth, we find our bearings by aligning with His word. The episode bridges from Noah to Abraham, revealing how God's plan advanced through each dispensation despite human failure. We witness the critical transition where God "divorced" the nations as they descended into idolatry, setting the stage for His redemptive work through the patriarchal line. This historical understanding illuminates our current moment and prepares us for what's ahead in God's unfolding timeline.Have you considered how these ancient patterns might be repeating in our technological age? Share this episode with someone struggling to find solid ground in these confusing times, and join us next week as we explore God's covenant with Abraham and the beginning of His redemptive plan through Israel.Support the show
Send us a textEver wonder why humanity keeps making the same mistakes throughout history? Our fascinating journey through biblical dispensations reveals the psychological profile of mankind's relationship with God across different time periods. The Edenic dispensation showcases humanity in perfect paradise—no worries, pressures, or threats—yet Adam and Eve still fell for Satan's oldest trick: "Did God really say...?" Their story exposes our natural inclination toward doubt and independence, even under ideal conditions. As we explore this garden narrative, we uncover a profound truth: "Love is not truly love until it's tested." God wasn't being cruel by placing the forbidden tree in Eden; He was creating the opportunity for genuine love through choice.Moving beyond Eden, we examine the antediluvian world where humans lived 800-900 years, potentially growing to a population of 500 million to 2 billion people before the flood. This dispensation of conscience ended in catastrophic judgment, raising profound questions about our modern technological pursuit of extreme longevity. Are we repeating ancient mistakes by trying to become "like gods" through artificial intelligence and life-extension technologies?Throughout each dispensation, a clear pattern emerges: regardless of circumstances, humanity consistently chooses independence from God rather than trusting His guidance. Yet God's relentless pursuit never wavers. Understanding these dispensational patterns provides valuable perspective not just on Scripture but on our current spiritual landscape and where we might be heading. Join us as we continue this eye-opening series next time with a deeper look at the mysterious pre-flood world, the Nephilim, and why only eight people survived God's judgment. What might this reveal about our future?Support the show

This episode of Fed by the Fruit KB dives into the profound biblical narrative of the Seven Dispensations and the Tower of Babel, illustrating the consequences of human pride and disobedience toward God's directives. We explore the concept of dispensationalism, a framework that categorizes God's interactions with humanity into distinct periods, and how this lens aids in comprehending scriptural teachings. It highlights the significance of humility and the dangers of seeking unity apart from divine guidance, as exemplified by the builders of Babel who attempted to reach the heavens through their own efforts. Each of these periods reveals profound insights into human nature and God's enduring desire for relationship and obedience, setting the stage for a deeper exploration of biblical narratives and their implications for contemporary faith. This episode serves as both an informative guide to embrace a healthier, more balanced lifestyle, encouraging listeners to embark on their journeys with renewed vigor and compassion.Reach out to KB on Instagram and share your thoughts.

It is a dark and challenging dispensation of providence when the world and nations of the world are filled with confusion and bloodshed, and no just reason appears for it to be so. When our Saviour predicts a difficult season in Matt. 24 and Luke 21, he says, "There will be terrible times, such as never were; nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be wars, bloodshed, and earthquakes; and the very elect will barely escape." Therefore, God refers to such a time as "a day of darkness," indeed, of "thick darkness," Joel 2:2, a dark, gloomy day.
“Covenant Theology” is a term that more and more Christians are encountering in the mainstream on various platforms. What should we think of it? Is Covenant Theology new? Is it old? And what exactly is it? The same questions can be applied to “Dispensations.” Are covenants at odds with dispensations? Maybe you're thinking: why does […] The post Covenant Theology vs. Dispensationalism: Navigating Theological Perspectives in Christianity appeared first on Patterns of Truth.

We take a look at the Lord's response to a question he received from his disciples on the Mount of Olives concerning the end of the age ("world" in some translations). We're centered on Matthew 24 in part.We use this backdrop concerning the plan for the Kingdom (the gospel of the kingdom being for Israel and involving the earthly plan) to set us up for a look at the hope of the heavenly city, the New Jerusalem, and its place in the plan of God.
On this episode of Rightly Dividing, the book of Acts, or The Acts of the Apostles, shows us the life and ministry of the apostles of Jesus Christ from the gospels, including one who is “born out of due time”, the apostle Paul. But before he was an apostle of the Lord, Saul was a fearsome type of Antichrist, and we will look at that as well. Think you're called to the ministry? You better think again, the book of Acts shows you what the ministry is, and you may not like it much. Join us as we study the entire book of the Acts of the Apostles, verse by verse and chapter by chapter.TONIGHT'S STUDY: Tonight we see something amazing, no, wait a minute, make that something stunning, and it will blow your mind. In acts chapters 6 and 7, the Holy Ghost starts preaching through Stephen, and it causes a chain-reactions of events that, when finished, results in the literal fulfillment of Matthew 21:43! That causes the Kingdom Age to be put on hold for 2,000 years as the gospel goes to the Gentiles. Buckle up tonight for a wild, wild ride.

Humble is not an attribute we generally associate with God. Holy? Yes. Almighty? Sure. Loving, righteous, and all-knowing? Of course. But when was the last time you heard God called “humble”? Have you ever? But if God is righteous, and being righteous means being contrastive, and being contrastive requires humility, then doesn't God HAVE to be humble? The answer is yes! Not only is God humble, the way He demonstrates His Humility is the story of our entire history on Earth! Bro. Steve Brown laid out the biblical framework upon which dispensationalism sits, and it has nothing to do with John Nelson Darby, CI Scofield or anyone outside of you King James Bible. Tonight was the second night of our Bethany Conference on Dispensationalism, and we were bless to have Bro. Steve Brown in the pulpit who laid out the foundational framework on which our understanding of dispensations rest. Bro. Steve made an air-tight case for the Bible being written in a dispensational manner, thus creating its own definition for what a dispensation actually is.
