This is Objection #5 in the series, "Forgiven At The Cross: Every Objection Answered." We will go through every objection put forth by Limited Forgivers in their attempts to oppose forgiveness at the cross. God didn't need anyone's permission, or mental assent to forgive the world based on the atonement of Jesus Christ. In this fifth installment, we will address the claim from a 'grace' pastor that: "People go to Hell to pay for their sins." We will address a single objection in each installment. Some are based on verses found in scripture, some are based on illogical conclusions, and others are not based in any kind of reality at all (strawmen.) In our previous episode, we talked about what it means for "every man" to be a liar, and how the one who uses that scripture against others (which is out of context) must include themselves in the "every man." We also examined what it means for God to be justified, and how God is shown to be righteous. Today, we will look at the usage of the phrase "God forbid" in Paul's epistles. Some seem to be under the impression that, just because we are under grace, we are not given commands to live by, or instructions concerning the things we say about God. "God forbid" means exactly what it says. God still forbids some things, even during the dispensation of Grace. And if we pay close attention, we will see how serious these "God forbids" are. Paul is trying his best to keep us from blaspheming - just because a sin is paid for and forgiven, doesn't mean that it's "ok" to do it. We will go further into explaining how the unrighteousness of man actually proves the righteousness of God. And Paul will make his point, in a nutshell, concerning what he has been talking about since the very beginning of this letter. ●Is "God forbid" just a suggestion about "how to think" on certain things? ●What does Paul say that he has been forbidden to glory in? ●How does the unrighteousness of man commend the righteousness of God? ●Is Paul admitting to telling a lie in this passage, or is he referencing slanderous reports? ●What is Paul's point in chapter 3, verse 9? IN THIS SERIES: ●We will see who Paul was talking to and why. ●Why Paul's mention of the "day of wrath" in Romans 2 makes perfect sense in the context. ●We examine who is being spoken about regarding the "remission of sins." ●Look at some things that Paul struggled with in the flesh concerning the law and why he's even talking about the law in the first place. ●Identify where the false doctrine of Sonship Edification puts its roots in Romans 8. ●Look at some verses that Universalists use to support their false "salvation of all" claim. ●Find out what the "faith of Christ" is and what it isn't. ●We will see whether or not Gentiles are "grafted into" that Olive Tree in Chapter 11. ●Go over what we are to be "fully persuaded in our own minds" about when we go through our instructions for living life after salvation. ●Learn more about how and why Gentiles were never under the law. ●Look at how prayer works and how it doesn't work today. ●Look at today's practical application compared to how Paul addresses the Jews in the flesh in this letter. ●Go over the fact that no one outside of Paul's "dispensation of grace" enjoyed eternal security, nor were they saved by grace through faith ALONE, without works. ●Find out the who, how, and why of "marking" others. ●And we'll tie it all up with the Revelation of the Mystery which was kept secret since the world began.

purgeon is happy to preach on preaching, so that the saints under the sound of his voice might know what to expect, and to what they are entitled. He does that in this sermon. Taking the phrase, “Rightly dividing the word of truth” he studies it by way of a series of figures taken from a variety of expositors, each of which sheds its own light on the duty of expounding and explaining and applying the Scriptures. Integrity, honesty, simplicity, clarity, urgency, all come to the fore as Spurgeon explains why it is so important that ministers handle the Word of God as those answerable to God for the souls of those to whom they preach, all considered in the light of eternity. Reading the sermon today is a help to preachers as we consider our duty, and how to discharge it; it is of value to hearers, perhaps to value a faithful ministry—not just despite its probing and pressing nature, but because of it—or to seek out a man who will not play fast and loose with God's revelation, but handle it faithfully, for their soul's sake. Hebrews 5:11-14 (NLT) There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don't seem to listen. 12, You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God's word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. 13, For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn't know how to do what is right. 14, Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. NKJV, to be able to recognize between sound and unsound doctrine.

We are again back in the paddock, looking at the real-time issue of God's "need" for us. For the first 6:59 of this episode, we celebrate our increased dialogue and our first listener donations. After the 6:59 minutes of celebration, we begin to lay the groundwork in our Biblical evidence that God does not "need" our prayers. Still, He gives us (and rewards us) the eternal, joyful privilege of service in His kingdom. We begin with our shared mandate of "rightly dividing the word of God." Paul tells us: "Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless, and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:14-15 Peter agrees: "And so we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God." Our So What? We are called to follow the noble Bereans' example, diligently study the word of God, and be discerning as we hear or read what teachers tell us. Next time we will see, Biblically, God tells us He does not "need" us. "What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more." This is Objection #3 in the series, "Forgiven At The Cross: Every Objection Answered." We will go through every objection put forth by Limited Forgivers in their attempts to oppose forgiveness at the cross.God didn't need anyone's permission, or mental assent to forgive the entire world based on the atonement of Jesus Christ. In this third installment, we will address the claim that: There are "4 Different Types of Reconciliation in Paul's epistles." We answer the question: Does the "reconciling" in Romans chapter 11 have anything to do with the "reconciling" in 2 Corinthians chapter 5?After listening to today's installment, you will see how the picture takes shape when context is considered. Considering context helps us to understand that the reconciliation in Romans 11 deals with God removing the enmity that stood between Jew and Gentiles - but the reconciliation in 2 Corinthians 5 deals with God removing the enmity that stood between Him and humanity. -BIG DIFFERENCE!We will address a single objection in each installment. Gary responds to a video where a pastor claims you must "rightly divide the Bible," based on 2 Timothy 2:15. By this he means that you must rightly divide the "people" of God into Jew and Gentile and understand New Testament passages in light of "the Church age." The Bible never speaks of a "Church age" but this does not prevent many from claiming that it must be there all the same. They claim it is inferred and is the "key" to correctly interpreting Jesus' prophetic words in the Olivet Discourse. Watch the video here.
