The previous president's "autopen" is under scrutiny—executive orders singed by someone other than the president. In a similar manner, in our lives, our relationship with Sin is kind of like handing over the autopen our our lives to a maniac. A whole bunch of binding decisions are made and all the while you are kind of stupefied how they happened. But when Christ is entrusted the Pen of our lives, suddenly our life begins to work. In this discussion, Eric and Nathan talk about the contrast between the power of Sin and the power of the Spirit in our lives.
There are two ways to do ministry. You can either do in it your own strength or in God's strength. Most of us theologically know that the “God strength” option is the superior way, but that doesn't mean we know how to employ it. It's not unusual for young Christians to explode out from the starting blocks in a full-on sprint only to run out of steam 100 yards down the track, because they were looking to run the great race in their own human strength. But as Eric and Leslie share in this episode, learning how to work out of God's strength is the great secret of longevity in ministry.------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
The term “The Blob” has been used over these past five or so years to describe the endemic foreign policy mind of government of the US. Whether you are right leaning or left leaning, there is a certain conclusion that you likely share—and if you enjoy this commonly shared conclusion, it puts you in The Blob. The Blob seems to be a counterfeit to the Body. The Blob seeks to bring the earth into one mind, one spirit, one purpose—but it does this through military aggression, political subtly, and governmental overthrow. The Body seeks something eerily similar, but goes about doing it in a completely opposite way. In this episode, Eric and Nathan discuss The Blob and how God's desire is to actually use the Body.------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
Congress is presently attempting to pack a lot into one big beautiful bill and get it on the President's desk for a signature. It would be a bill that cuts taxes, funds military strength, builds a strong border, kicks out the dangers in our country. All this in one bill. The work of the Cross was "One Big Beautiful Work." It accomplished everything needed for life and godliness in ONE singular action of ONE singular Man. In this discussion, Eric and Nathan talk about how amazing the cross is, how Jesus accomplished far more than merely forgiveness, and what this means for our lives. To some it might seem a risky thing to teach your children to start praying impossible prayers—prayers that could only be answered by an All-powerful God. After all, what if God chooses to not respond? What if your kids are left dangling in their young faith because God fails to show up? Of course, those that have walked the triumphant heavenly path of faith lined with the golden bricks of divine faithfulness know that God ALWAYS responds to prayers of genuine faith, especially those that are God-sized and wholly impossible. ------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
Whether its through distraction, fear, or passivity, we often loose our gumption to think and act big in this world. We prefer to have someone else live big for us. Yet, Jesus wants to live big through us. In this conversation, Eric and Nathan explore the concept of thinking big, what does that mean practically, and how do it relate to the importance of tending to the small areas of our lives. As Eric said, "Watch what God will do if we expect Him to be God Almighty and not God all-tiny."------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
According to Scripture, children are like arrows in the hand of the warrior. Any one who has kids may wish to question such a notion. Arrows? Strength? The Ancien Regime is the French way of saying, “The Old Regime” (where we get our word "ancient"). This Old Regime has been around since before you were born and it doesn't like to give up its control. Typically, in the government the Ancien is called the Deep State, but in our lives Paul called it "the flesh" or some call it "The Old Man"—or what we could say "The Ancien Man." Our sinful flesh doesn't like to give up control, but as Scripture commands, we must put off the Ancien to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. In this conversation, Eric and Nathan discuss the Ancien, how it plays out in our lives, and the only solution we have to change it.
America has a massive trade deficit, and while this may not be a good thing economically, does a "trade deficit" spiritually reveal a problem? In this discussion, Eric and Nathan talk about God's "trade deficit" with humanity and how His pattern actually is how Christianity operates. In short, Jesus is in the business of extravagant generosity—His giving always super-abundantly outweighs what He requests in return—and this truth is not only awe-inspiring, but is also a very good thing.------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
MONDAY APRIL 141239: The Threat of Tariffs // Citizenship 14 (Eric Ludy + Nathan Johnson)The Kingdom of God is upside down. If you want to go up, you must go down, if you want to be first, you must be last, and life is found through death. Culturally, there is a struggle with tariffs—people are experiencing pain while the system is reset. Similarly, as Christians, God will allow us to go through momentary pain and difficulty in order to bring us victory and freedom (and rescue us from even greater pain). In this discussion, Eric and Nathan talk about how resurrection life is found on the far side of the cross and why that is such a beautiful thing in a believer's life.
Procrastination is not a friend of functional Christianity. Rather, it's a sworn enemy. Everything that makes Christianity work is based on “doing” and “action”. God goes out of his way to explain to us in the Scriptures that we can't be tares, we must be wheat. We can't be virgins without oil, we must be virgins with oil. And we mustn't be goats that doddle, but sheep that do. Christianity was never meant to be a mere mental game where we sit around and muse and conjecture about theology. It was intended to be actually vigorously applied and lived out. And for that to happen, procrastination can no longer be invited into the storyline of our lives. ------------» Take these messages deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
In this follow-up discussion from last week, Eric and Nathan talk about mercy and how regardless of where we are with sin, mercy is always available. While a difficult subject to discuss, lest we keep on sinning so grace can abound, Eric and Nathan talk about why the concept of mercy is so significant in light of waste, fraud, and abuse found in our lives. They remind us that while God's mercy is always available, His desire for His people is that we would walk in holiness, righteousness, purity, and godliness. This is a powerful truth, especially in light of last week's discussion.
It appears that the majority of people agree that there is waste, fraud, and abuse in the government. And while it fine to generalize the issue, people start having problems when someone actually starts to do something about it. The same is true in our souls—it is easy to declare that there is possible issues of waste, fraud, and abuse in our lives, but few of us actually want to deal with it. In this discussion, Eric and Nathan talk about why we are so prone to justify the problems of our lives (or ignore the issues) and how we should deal with it in our souls.
The current political landscape is in argument over the jurisdiction of who has the ability to deport foreign enemies who have invaded the land. Yet this debate over the “Alien Enemy's Act of 1798” is a great picture of the spiritual jurisdiction over our person lives, marriages, and families. In this episode, Eric and Nathan discuss how the Alien Enemy's Act of 1798 and constitutional law points to the authority and standard of God's Word in a believer's life, the power of “no,” and how a Christian can deal with hostile enemies invading their spiritual lives.
The world is witnessing an ever-growing phenomenon of escalating, ever-growing conflict. The earthly model for success is based on the fact that unless your side gets precisely what they demand in the deal then there is no deal—the conflict will continue for perpetuity. But, is this the Christ-model? Christ teaches us to forgive (even seventy-times seven times). Is forgiveness a reasonable and workable policy? In this discussion, Eric and Nathan talk about the concept of a ceasefire in relationships and nations, and what it takes to get there.
While decorum is not a word we typically use today, it is an important concept for how we behave. In President Trump's State of the Union last week, Mike Johnson removed a member of Congress for a lack of decorum. In this episode, Eric and Nathan talk about decorum, define what it is and discuss how there has been a lack of decorum in our socio-political world, and why it is so important to have in the life of the Christian.
There are things in life that are naturally attractive to us as humans (ie. flowers, sunsets, and poetry). Tribulation is definitely not on that list. In fact, we will go to great lengths to avoid it. But, as believers in Christ, it is essential that we recalibrate our thinking regarding this very important thing known as tribulation. Because according to God's Word, tribulation is the Holy Spirit's primary tool used to fashion the saints of God into Christ-showcasing men and women.------------» Take these messages deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/

Whereas the Fear of God is the beginning of good things—things like wisdom and knowledge. The fear of man is also the beginning of some things. But the things that the fear of man begins are not at all pleasant. For instance, the fear of man fosters a derangement of the human brain. It causes said brain to stop questioning the obvious, to turn off all reasonableness, and forsake all common sense. In our world today we call the fear of man political/social correctness. It's where someone chooses to act upon what is “correct” in the world's eyes over what is actually true in God's Word. Who would do such a ridiculous thing as that? Well, if you are looking for a case study—look no further than yourself. Every last one of us, whether we are presently walking in this strange “fear of man” behavior or not, have had plenty of experience doing so at some juncture of our lives.------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
Virtue signaling is “impression management”—it is to subtly boost your reputation through what you say (or don't say), what you wear, what groups you associate with, etc. Humanity seems to be wired for virtue signaling—to focus on self and how to look better in other's eyes. Yet, as Eric and Nathan discuss, this is opposite of the Kingdom of Heaven. We should not care for our own reputations, but the reputation of Jesus Christ. In this conversation, Eric and Nathan dive into the topic of virtue signaling, giving many examples from their own lives, and discuss the sole remedy to being set free for a greater purpose.
The Overton Window is a socio-political concept denoting the “politically accepted view of the moment/time.” It's the perspective through which modern culture deems that which is acceptable. But is this a Christian concept and how should we as believers respond to the Overton Window of our culture … especially when it appears the window is moving closer to a biblical perspective. In this timely and profound conversation, Eric and Nathan discuss the difference between the Overton Window and the “Canon/Biblical Window” and what we should do about it.
There is a big movement to focus inward, put America first, and make her great again. Yet, the tension our nation faces is should not we use our strength to help weaker people and nations around the world? Perhaps to make it more personal, what does the Bible say about focusing on self verses turning outward and focusing on others? In this timely and stirring conversation, Eric and Nathan discuss the tension between America first and meeting the needs around the world, and more importantly, the tension in our own lives to focus on “first things” while being available for the equally important “second things.”
We are dealing with a border crisis, not just as a nation but as the Church. How do we handle the issue of borders, walls, security, and deportation—nationally and in our souls? In this conversation, Eric and Nathan tackle this difficult topic by thinking biblically through what we should do with immigrants in our nation in light of justice (law) and mercy, but they also discuss how we must handle our lives in light of Scripture.
When a new president enters office, there is a lot of housecleaning, changes, and reforms that are made within the the first week. This change of power allows for a deep transformation to take place (for good or for bad). The Church and our souls are also in need of a “DOGE” (department of government efficiency). In this stirring episode, Eric and Nathan talk about the importance of humbling coming to the Spirit of God and allowing Him to search and try our lives. As they remind us, if there is anything in our lives (even good things) that are pulling or distracting us from Jesus or His calling in our lives, it needs to be removed. The truths contained in this episode have the ability to radically change your life, and we are excited for you to give it a listen!
The inauguration of a new president is an important day in a nation … as it can shift the direction of a nation's culture for better or for worse. In light of today's presidential inauguration, Eric and Nathan discuss the lack of manliness in the modern culture and Church and why we need to inaugurate it back into our world and lives. In this episode, they describe true manliness is, why we need it, and most importantly, where we can find it (hint: it's not from within ourselves but from THE Man, Jesus Christ). William Wilberforce was used by God to change the world. Many historians recognize the impact of his life, but fail to see the real reason why his life was so deeply impacting. They see qualities like perseverance, determination, and extraordinary compassion as the catalyst to his greatness. But though those qualities were essential to the make-up of the man, the true power of William Wilberforce goes much deeper than that. Wilberforce was a godly man and that was his great secret. He was a wholly honest and trustworthy person who genuinely loved all people and desired them to be free to live in liberty. The honorable nature of this man still reverberates in and through history two hundred years later.
Readiness is a vastly underrated quality of the healthy Christian life. But, readiness doesn't come about accidentally. A believer needs to practice and train in readiness. And if it isn't practiced, then the believer will be found unready in the moment where alertness, action, and agreement is desperately needed. The quality of readiness is one of the beautiful hallmarks of William Wilberforce's life. And it is one of the chief reasons why his life impacted the world.------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Eric, Leslie, Nathan, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more resources, books, and sermons from Eric Ludy by going to: https://ellerslie.com/about-eric-ludy/
What would it be like if we as the Church of Jesus were to put aside our differences and, instead, cherish our common faith in our amazing Savior? This was Christ's vision, His passion, His great desire. But, for some reason, we, as His Church, have greatly struggled to make this our vision, passion, and desire. William Wilberforce discovered the beauty of this spiritual unity in his work with the Clapham community back in the early 19th century. And the unity they shared sponsored one of the greatest and most transformative works of grace in the past two thousand years.
The Christian life is a bit counter-intuitive at first (ie. the least is the greatest, the servant is the leader, and weakness is a place of strength). It takes a bit for the newly budded Christian to grasp such an upside down pattern, but when it's finally grasped, the path opens up for great spiritual growth and maturity. This message focuses on the arduous year of 1793 in Great Britain—a year of war, famine, and economic instability—and it showcases how difficulty can actually be a good thing—a tremendously beneficial thing when embraced and received with faith.
In Joshua chapter 17, the Mountain Country is not the desirable land. It's rocky, forested. filled with Canaanite giants, and, these Canaanites giants have iron chariots, to boot! So, it isn't any surprise when Ephraim and Manasseh receive their tract of land in the Mountain Country that it translated to them as a bit of a downer. We all have the same tendency to underrate the value of the Mountain Country in our own lives. Most of us simply want flat farm land without any obstacles, hindrances, or foes nearby. But, God loves us too much to give us something that dull and boring. Our God specializes in supplying us with the perfect land to match our soul's need. He is in the business of growing us up to be mighty, and there is nothing quite like a tract of Mountain Country to do the job.
The Christian life is intended to get stronger and stronger and stronger with time. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the experience of many believers in the modern era. But that isn't because it isn't God's pattern, it's because often modern Christians are lacking the key ingredient of persistence in their walk. They give up at the first sign of challenge—they give up when they reach the first obstacle. Ancient Christianity is built on the premise that when you are knocked down you get up, and you keep getting up after every single knock down until finally you breakthrough and knock out your opponent. William Wilberforce is an amazing picture of this indomitable perseverance.
There are two particular behaviors that are strangely missing in many Christian lifestyle patterns today. The first is sharing the Gospel with the lost. And the second is sharing one's resources and time with the poor and needy. For many in the Western Christian culture, these behavioral functions (though theologically highly esteemed) have been relegated to an almost mythical fictitious status—as if they are something to intellectually believe are correct but are not practically expected to be implemented in the Christian life. Ironically, these two behavioral functions have been deemed two of the most important throughout Church history and, therefore, getting them back into our behavioral arsenal is of the utmost importance.
The Body of Christ is uniquely designed as a purging agent of cultural fungus. But to effectively wipe out the demonic ideas and the sinful societal fog of the hour, the Church needs to do its cleansing work in accordance with the Christ pattern. And this involves a two-handed approach to the work of rescue and resuscitation. In other words, both the right and left hands are needed to carry out the job. The head and heart are both essential and mustn't be disconnected. And truth and mercy must both attend the work and the two must never be estranged. When we emphasize one side over and above the other side, the cultural fungus just laughs at our do-gooder attempts. The secret is found in both hands working in perfect coordination according to the perfect mixture as assigned by the Holy Spirit.
William Wilberforce is one of those rare men in history that lived life as God intended life to be lived. He boldly acted on behalf of Truth—risking his life, forsaking his comforts, and letting go of his reputation—and, therefore, altered the course of world-history. Many men of antiquity can clearly be deemed culpable for the downward trajectory of nations, but few men in history can actually be pinpointed to have turned their entire culture in the direction of God. William Wilberforce is one of them. Because of Wilberforce, the wicked practice of slavery was completely abolished in England in 1833. This massive work of 48 years can all be traced back to a day in 1785 when William Wilberforce awakened. May the same soul awakening happen within all of us. ReplyReply allForwardAdd reaction
In this special episode, Eric Ludy and Nathan Johnson discuss their two new series launching November 5 … and give some encouragement to believers as the election in America approaches.
This is the thirty-fourth and final installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from The Times of Nero. In this episode he explores the strange and bewildering happenings of the 17th of Tammuz in the year 70 AD. On this day, in the midst of the Roman's siege on the city of Jerusalem, the priests came down to their final lamb to sacrifice in the daily temple sacrificial ritual. The Jews still remember this difficult day nearly two thousand years later.
This is the thirty-third installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he does a deep dive into the extraordinary story of the Jewish historian, Josephus. The first-century writings of Josephus hold a weighty position in Christian history, for they offer us a unique perspective into the climate surrounding first century Christianity and also showcase the startling fulfillment of the very words of Christ spoken to His disciples prior to His death in the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. The supernatural preservation of Josephus is an extraordinary parallel with the supernatural preservation of sacred history in and through his life.
This is the thirty-second installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he demonstrates how God always supplies space for repentance. He is not quick to judge, but, in fact, is shockingly merciful—desirous that men would repent and turn from their wickedness and believe. For forty year from the Cross to the destruction of Jerusalem, the Holy Spirit was mercifully entreating the unbelieving Jews to wake up, repent, and believe upon Jesus.
This is the thirty-first installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Times of Nero. In this episode he dives into the real recorded history of Rome, Judea, and the Church during this period between 64 and 70 AD and then matches it with Christ's Olivet Discourse and the Book of Revelation. It is an awe-inspiring fit. No matter your persuasion toward eschatology (the study of the End), it is always complimentary to the development of healthy conclusions to know what has actually transpired in history.
This is the thirtieth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he explores the inexplicable increase in earthquakes that filled the time of history between the Cross and the destruction of the Jerusalem in 70 AD. This 40-year period showcases the remarkable way that God cares for His own amid a time of judgment.
This is the twenty-ninth installment in Eric's series entitled, Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he dives into the strange history of false messiahs that came flooding into Judea after the Jews rejected the true Messiah. The same profound spiritual vacuum, that plagued first century Judaism, is always created when Jesus is resisted—and it's true in our lives, as well.
This is the twenty-eighth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Times of Nero. In this episode he attempts to do something that most Christians don't believe can be done—juggle four vantage points on the Book of Revelation simultaneously. You will need to be the judge as to whether or not he succeeded.
This is the twenty-seventh installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he explores the profound life and death of the Apostle Peter. When danger surfaces the average human runs the other way—wanting to get as far away from it as possible. This makes Peter's decision in 64 AD to courageously head back into Christian-killing Rome instead of run away from it, a remarkable choice. Peter's subsequent death at the hands of Nero instructs us two thousand years later in the way to truly honor Christ in both life and death.
This is the twenty-sixth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he does the unthinkable. He does a four hundred foot dive into the shark-filled kiddy pool and . . . we still aren't sure if he survived. Dating the Book of Revelation has been a long held debate in the Church and the reason it is contentious is due to the fact that the two varying camps support their vastly different conclusions based on the supposed date in which it was purportedly written. For instance, if it was written in 64-65 AD then the date would appear to support a Preterist view of Revelation (ie. the events have already happened), while if it was written in 95-96 AD, the date strongly supports a Futurist view of Revelation (ie. the events are still expected to happen). Eric attempts this dangerous dive in order to prove something different than either viewpoint typically attempts to support. He seeks to show that a Preterist and Futurist view can both be compatible in the Christian walk and both have always been important in the Revelation of God's Kingdom.
This is the twenty-fifth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he explores the “seemingly unimportant” territory of dating the books of the New Testament. Most people would say, “It doesn't really matter to me when it was written.” And in a certain sense, it's true. Someone can believe the words of Scripture and believe that the work of Christ on their behalf is sufficient to save them whether the words were written in 40 AD, 400 AD, or 2024 AD. But, the integrity of the Bible and the trustworthiness of its words are paramount to our confidence-in and obedience-to its words (especially its hard words and its words that appear culturally insensitive and out-dated). The Devil is waging a campaign against the Scripture. He desires to marginalize its power, its supernatural nature, and its trustworthiness. Meanwhile, to counteract this devilish plot, determining a time stamp for when these New Testament books were written CAN ACTUALLY matter.
