So, this is one of the very important lessons that Prahlād Mahārāj teaches us, is to become trained in the spiritual science. Don't neglect the Bhagavad-gītā. Or should I say it in the positive? It's better, isn't it, because that might go and you may think, 'Neglect the Bhagavad-gītā.' No. Read Bhagavad-gītā every day. How's that for a challenge? If one reads Bhagavad-gītā every day, then you won't have to make excuses for why you make mistakes, or why you made mistakes, or why you feel morose, or why you feel confused, and so forth, because those who read the Bhagavad-gītā every day don't get confused. They see things as they are, and they see the difference between matter and spirit. And that's fairly simple. Let me just check, do we have any Bhagavad-gītās? Just checking to see if we have them on site. Do we have any here? I heard that we've distributed over approximately 500 million books since Prabhupāda started book distribution, and we have a few of them here. Bhagavad-gītā is available. Do any of you have it at home? Just checking. It sounds simplistic, but sometimes the simple things are the true answer. It's called Occam's razor. So if you take this challenge that Prahlād Mahārāj is putting out—educate yourself the way a geologist becomes educated to see the way the world's actually working and to find out where the gold is—then you'll never be bewildered. So if you read at least a chapter of Bhagavad-gītā every day, hear the verses, and go deeply within the purports as much as possible, then you'll see the world and find the great treasures in life and avoid the difficulties. Now, speaking of difficulties, Prahlād Mahārāj also talks about that. He says.. Unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner's expense." Means that if—if you leave your mind unattended and not engaged in Kṛṣṇa's service, it's like you just parked it somewhere in the wrong place, it'll get towed away. And when you get your mind towed away, if you've ever had your car towed away, you've got to go down to the impound and pay some exorbitant amount of money to get it back. It's not easy, and so don't park your mind in an improper place and just leave it there, because it will get towed so far away, you may not be able to find it again. 'Drive with care' is something Kṛṣṇa points out in the Bhagavad Gita. First he says, "yānti deva-vratā devān pitṝn yānti pitṛ-vratāḥ bhūtāni yānti bhūtejyā yānti mad-yājino 'pi mām (BG 9.25)." Yanti means to go. He said, You can go any direction you want. In this universe, it's a matter of where you push your attention. Because where attention goes, energy flows. And he says you should drive with care, because, for instance, if you drive blindfolded, you're going to smash into somebody, and it's going to have a negative consequence on your life. So in the Gita, he talks about how you should be aware of how the world is comprised of three modes of material nature, and be careful where you associate yourself and how you interact with the world. Be very careful and deliberate where you go by getting knowledge about how to move towards a worthy destination and how to choose all the right circumstances so that you can keep moving in that direction. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

With compassion and clarity, they challenge us to sit in the discomfort of the cross, to wrestle with why Jesus was really killed, and to see how this ancient story still confronts power, pride, and injustice today. In this thought-provoking episode of "Father and Joe," hosts Father Boniface and Joe Rockey delve into the power of reading the Bible in sequence, particularly examining the profound teachings of Jesus through the lens of the Sermon on the Mount. Joe discusses his experience of reading the Bible in order, highlighting how the text often folds back on itself, reinforcing themes that resonate deeply with readers by connecting seemingly disparate teachings into a cohesive narrative.Using Matthew as an example, Joe describes how the Sermon on the Mount extends beyond the Beatitudes, presenting a comprehensive discourse that invites reflection on human nature, societal norms, and intrinsic motivations. By reading these scriptures in their entirety, Joe finds fresh relevance in old teachings and learns the art of delivering powerful messages, drawing parallels to his own experiences on stage as a speaker.Father Boniface offers insights into Jesus' historical and cultural context, emphasizing the importance of understanding scripture both as divinely inspired text and powerful rhetoric. He supports Joe's interpretative journey, validating the approach of reading with faith rather than skepticism, and applying lessons from scripture to everyday life as well as professional relationships.Together, they reflect on the potential personal growth in embracing scripture with openness, noting the inspiration derived from Christ's strategic communication and progressive ministry. Highlighting stories such as the raising of Lazarus, they discuss how contextual understanding of these narratives can bring new illumination.Throughout the conversation, they unpack the importance of viewing Biblical events within their broader scriptural setting, drawing connections between personal experiences and spiritual teachings. This balance allows listeners to rediscover the richness of biblical messages and encourages them to build a profound relationship with spirituality.Join Father Boniface and Joe Rockey in this enlightening episode to explore how contextual reading of the Bible isn't just about understanding divine instructions but is also a journey towards personal transformation and reclaiming faith in a world desperate for spiritual connection.Sermon on the Mount, Bible Study, Biblical Context, Faith Journey, Spiritual Growth, Jesus Teachings, Divine Inspiration, Scripture Analysis, Contextual Reading, Personal Revelation, Sermon Insights, Gospel Sermons, Spiritual Reflection, Faith Discussion, Christian Teachings, Theology Study, Deeper Understanding, Relationship with God, Spiritual Direction, Biblical Narratives, Historical Jesus, Faith Exploration, Scripture Wisdom, Spiritual Lessons, Jesus' Ministry, Catholic Perspective, Sermon Breakdown, Gospel Readings, Divine Faith, Sermon Interpretation, Spiritual Guidance, Personal Transformation, Bible in Context, Divine Message, Sermons of Jesus, Faith Application, Gospel Context, Scriptural Interpretation, Faith and Life, Sermon Engagement#SermonOnTheMount, #BibleStudy, #FaithJourney, #JesusTeachings, #SpiritualGrowth, #DivineInspiration, #ScriptureAnalysis, #ContextualReading, #SpiritualReflection, #GospelSermons, #FaithDiscussion, #ChristianTeachings, #TheologyStudy, #UnderstandingScripture, #RelationshipWithGod, #SpiritualDirection, #BiblicalNarratives, #HistoricalJesus, #FaithExploration, #ScriptureWisdom, #SpiritualLessons, #JesusMinistry, #CatholicPerspective, #SermonBreakdown, #GospelReadings, #DivineFaith, #SermonInterpretation, #SpiritualGuidance, #PersonalTransformation, #BibleInContext, #DivineMessage, #FaithApplication, #GospelContext, #SpiritualJourney, #SermonEngagement, #FaithAndLife, #FatherAndJoe, #ChristianFaith, #SpiritualEnlightenment

Numbers 2: Organization of Israel's Camp Numbers 2 details the arrangement of the Israelite camp during their wilderness journey, as commanded by God through Moses. The chapter describes how the twelve tribes of Israel were to encamp and march in a specific order, ensuring organization, unity, and structure. 1. The Camp's Arrangement God instructed that the tribes be positioned around the Tabernacle, which was at the center of the camp. This setup symbolized God's presence among His people and emphasized order in their movements. •East Side: The leading position was given to the tribe of Judah, along with Issachar and Zebulun. Judah was the largest and strongest tribe, often associated with leadership. •South Side: The tribes of Reuben, Simeon, and Gad camped together. •West Side: The tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Benjamin were positioned here. •North Side: The tribes of Dan, Asher, and Naphtali occupied this position. Each tribe had a specific standard (flag or banner) and was responsible for maintaining its formation. The Levites and the Tabernacle were positioned in the center, signifying their priestly role and protection of the holy place. 2. Purpose of the Camp's Organization •Order and Discipline: The structured setup ensured efficiency in movement and protection against external threats. •Symbol of God's Presence: Placing the Tabernacle at the center signified that God was the focal point of Israel's journey. •Preparation for Battle: The arrangement also served a military function, ensuring readiness to march or defend against enemies. 3. Spiritual Lessons from Numbers 2 •God is a God of Order: This chapter highlights divine organization, showing that God values structure in worship, leadership, and daily life. •The Importance of Unity: Each tribe had a designated role, demonstrating that every individual has a place in God's plan. •Christ at the Center: Just as the Tabernacle was central to the Israelite camp, Christ should be at the center of our lives today. Conclusion Numbers 2 teaches us about God's meticulous planning for His people. It shows that following His order leads to peace, unity, and purpose. Just as Israel was instructed to march in alignment with God's design, believers today are called to live in obedience, placing God at the center of their lives.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sendme-radio--732966/support.

Commentary on Exodus 29 Exodus 29 provides detailed instructions on the consecration of Aaron and his sons as priests, emphasizing the sacredness of their role in ministering before God. The chapter is part of the broader section of Exodus that outlines the construction of the Tabernacle and the establishment of the priesthood, representing God's desire to dwell among His people and mediate His covenant through a holy priesthood. Key Themes in Exodus 29 1.Priestly Consecration (Verses 1–9): •God commands Moses to consecrate Aaron and his sons through specific rituals, including washing, clothing, and anointing them with oil. •This act symbolizes purification, authority, and the setting apart of the priests for holy service. The garments, such as the ephod and breastplate, are not merely ornamental but signify their divine appointment and the responsibilities of representing the people before God. 2.Sin Offering and Atonement (Verses 10–14): •A bull is sacrificed as a sin offering to atone for the sins of Aaron and his sons, highlighting the necessity of purity before approaching God's presence. •This ritual underscores humanity's sinfulness and the need for blood atonement, foreshadowing the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ as the perfect High Priest (Hebrews 9:11-14). 3.Burnt Offering (Verses 15–18): •A ram is offered as a burnt offering, symbolizing complete surrender and devotion to God. The aroma is described as pleasing to the Lord, signifying His acceptance of the offering. 4.Ordination Offering (Verses 19–34): •A second ram is sacrificed as part of the ordination process. Its blood is applied to the priests' ears, thumbs, and toes, representing their dedication to listening to God, serving Him, and walking in His ways. •The wave offering, involving portions of the sacrifice, emphasizes the priests' role in mediating worship between God and the people. 5.Continual Burnt Offering (Verses 35–46): •God commands daily offerings—a lamb every morning and evening—as a perpetual reminder of His covenant relationship with Israel. •This daily ritual symbolizes ongoing fellowship with God and serves as a precursor to the unceasing intercession of Christ. Spiritual Lessons from Exodus 29 1.Holiness in Service: •The consecration of the priests demonstrates that those who serve God must approach Him with reverence and purity. This principle applies to all believers, who are called to be a “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9). 2.The Necessity of Atonement: •The sacrifices in this chapter reveal humanity's need for a mediator and point forward to Christ, whose sacrifice provides the ultimate atonement for sin. 3.God's Desire to Dwell Among His People: •The repeated phrase “I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God” (v. 45) encapsulates God's heart for relationship with His people, fulfilled in Jesus (John 1:14) and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. 4.Daily Devotion: •The continual burnt offering teaches the importance of daily worship and commitment to God. It calls believers to offer themselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1). Christological Connection Exodus 29 vividly portrays the sacrificial system and priesthood, both of which find their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. He is the sinless High Priest who mediates a new covenant (Hebrews 7:23-28) and the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). Practical Application •As believers, we are called to live consecrated lives, offering our talents, time, and hearts in service to God. •Regular worship and communion with God are vital for maintaining a close relationship with Him, just as the continual offerings sustained Israel's connection with the Lord. Exodus 29 reminds us of God's holiness, the cost of sin, and the profound privilege of being in His presence, themes that resonate throughout the entire biblical narrative.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sendme-radio--732966/support.

In this episode, I share a profound and transformative night with Mother Ayahuasca during my recent ceremony. Over the past month and a half, I've experienced recurring illness and unease, which began after attending a retreat in September. While this retreat taught me valuable lessons about what *not* to do when hosting my own retreats, it also left me energetically vulnerable. Mother Ayahuasca revealed that parasitic energy had attached to me, stemming from a hostile response I unintentionally triggered by raising concerns with the retreat leaders. These individuals were not consciously sending me negative energy—it was a reaction born from their own wounds. I hold nothing but compassion for them, understanding that their current perception may be clouded. While I don't dive deeply into the details of the retreat itself, I focus on the greater message behind this experience: the importance of protecting your energy, setting boundaries, and reclaiming your power. I also discuss the need for discernment in the spiritual space, emphasizing why it's essential to be mindful of who you trust, regardless of their platform or following. This episode is a heartfelt reflection on healing, forgiveness, and standing strong in your own light. Tune in to hear the lessons I've learned and how they can guide you in navigating your own journey. Let's get connected
Born in Kenya, and of Indian ancestry, Riyaz came to North America when he was ten years old (growing up in Canada, and then moving to the United States as an adult). Each of these lands, peoples, and cultures has informed and shaped his expression and sensibilities. He is a product of both East and West. Most of his adult life has been devoted to the study and practice of both psychotherapy and spirituality. And both of these disciplines have been integral to a path of healing and awakening. Professionally, his life's work has been to bring together Eastern wisdom with Western science and psychology in a synergistic alliance. After 26 years of mainly practicing as a psychotherapist, and many years of teaching and supervising students and interns in a transpersonally oriented graduate school (CIIS in San Francisco), he has shifted his work in a more explicitly spiritual direction. He now leads individuals and groups in spiritual work through groups, and day-long and multi-day retreats. In April 2023, he received dharma transmission and the blessing of his teacher, Adyashanti. Welcome back to The New Age Sage! In this solo episode, I'm diving deep into the world of Gnosticism—one of the most misunderstood and complex spiritual doctrines. I'll take you through my personal journey exploring Gnostic ideas, unpacking its core beliefs about a hidden supreme God, a deceptive creator, and our existence in a lesser reality. Gnosticism challenges the idea of a benevolent world, suggesting instead that we're trapped in a realm dominated by suffering and illusion. If you've ever wondered about the darker aspects of spirituality, felt disillusioned by traditional religions, or been curious about alternative spiritual paths, this episode is for you. I'm not just here to tell you what Gnosticism is—I'm here to challenge you to think about your own beliefs and confront the uncomfortable aspects of existence that we often avoid. ——————— [00:00] Intro [01:44] Exploring Gnostic Beliefs [03:20] Inverted Consciousness and Material Reality [07:22] Suffering as a Core Experience [12:18] Reincarnation & Spiritual Lessons [15:20] The Simulation Argument [20:19] Ego, Heart, and Loving Awareness [24:21] What Gnosticism Gets Right [28:26] Forgetting and Remembering [31:07] The Hero's Journey in Spirituality [34:12] Alchemizing Darkness into Light [40:12] The Trap of Resentment in Gnosticism [45:34] Conclusion: Loving Awareness as the Ultimate Goal ——————— Please like, comment, and subscribe if this episode resonates with you. Walking through the grandeur of Amber Fort or witnessing the heart-wrenching reality of children begging in the streets, one is constantly reminded of life's radical duality. This coexistence of opposites is a powerful teacher in the yogic tradition, where we are called to witness without attachment. The practice of holding both beauty and pain with equanimity lies at the heart of our spiritual evolution. Embracing the Extremes: Beauty and Suffering Intertwined India amplifies the senses. The vibrant markets, ornate temples, and intricate craftsmanship offer a feast for the eyes, while the rawness of human suffering confronts us at every corner. It is tempting to be swept away by either extreme—to revel in the beauty or to grieve the suffering—but true wisdom lies in the ability to hold both without preference. Life's richness comes not from avoiding discomfort or chasing pleasure, but from embracing the tension between the two. The Spiritual Path: Detachment in the Face of Duality The mind seeks to categorize experiences as ‘good' or ‘bad,' yet the teachings remind us that duality is an illusion. We are called to bear witness to both extremes, knowing that they are transient and that neither defines the deeper reality. The practice of detachment, of seeing without being swayed by the highs or the lows, is essential on the spiritual path. In navigating life's contrasts, we cultivate a stillness within—one that remains unshaken by the duality of external circumstances. This is the essence of our practice, and it is here that we find our deepest strength and wisdom.
This is the thirty-fourth and final installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from The Times of Nero. In this episode he explores the strange and bewildering happenings of the 17th of Tammuz in the year 70 AD. On this day, in the midst of the Roman's siege on the city of Jerusalem, the priests came down to their final lamb to sacrifice in the daily temple sacrificial ritual. The Jews still remember this difficult day nearly two thousand years later.
This is the thirty-third installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he does a deep dive into the extraordinary story of the Jewish historian, Josephus. The first-century writings of Josephus hold a weighty position in Christian history, for they offer us a unique perspective into the climate surrounding first century Christianity and also showcase the startling fulfillment of the very words of Christ spoken to His disciples prior to His death in the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. The supernatural preservation of Josephus is an extraordinary parallel with the supernatural preservation of sacred history in and through his life.
This is the thirty-second installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he demonstrates how God always supplies space for repentance. He is not quick to judge, but, in fact, is shockingly merciful—desirous that men would repent and turn from their wickedness and believe. For forty year from the Cross to the destruction of Jerusalem, the Holy Spirit was mercifully entreating the unbelieving Jews to wake up, repent, and believe upon Jesus.
This is the thirty-first installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Times of Nero. In this episode he dives into the real recorded history of Rome, Judea, and the Church during this period between 64 and 70 AD and then matches it with Christ's Olivet Discourse and the Book of Revelation. It is an awe-inspiring fit. No matter your persuasion toward eschatology (the study of the End), it is always complimentary to the development of healthy conclusions to know what has actually transpired in history.
Welcome back to another SOLO episode! I love coming on here and connecting one on one with you. This episode is all about surrender because I think this is one of the hardest spiritual lessons and skills to truly embody but many of us are pushed to learn it. In this episode I share all about surrender and how it can release resistance in our life. This is the thirtieth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he explores the inexplicable increase in earthquakes that filled the time of history between the Cross and the destruction of the Jerusalem in 70 AD. This 40-year period showcases the remarkable way that God cares for His own amid a time of judgment.
This is the twenty-ninth installment in Eric's series entitled, Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he dives into the strange history of false messiahs that came flooding into Judea after the Jews rejected the true Messiah. The same profound spiritual vacuum, that plagued first century Judaism, is always created when Jesus is resisted—and it's true in our lives, as well.
This is the twenty-eighth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Times of Nero. In this episode he attempts to do something that most Christians don't believe can be done—juggle four vantage points on the Book of Revelation simultaneously. You will need to be the judge as to whether or not he succeeded.
This is the twenty-seventh installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he explores the profound life and death of the Apostle Peter. When danger surfaces the average human runs the other way—wanting to get as far away from it as possible. This makes Peter's decision in 64 AD to courageously head back into Christian-killing Rome instead of run away from it, a remarkable choice. Peter's subsequent death at the hands of Nero instructs us two thousand years later in the way to truly honor Christ in both life and death.
This is the twenty-sixth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he does the unthinkable. He does a four hundred foot dive into the shark-filled kiddy pool and . . . we still aren't sure if he survived. Dating the Book of Revelation has been a long held debate in the Church and the reason it is contentious is due to the fact that the two varying camps support their vastly different conclusions based on the supposed date in which it was purportedly written. For instance, if it was written in 64-65 AD then the date would appear to support a Preterist view of Revelation (ie. the events have already happened), while if it was written in 95-96 AD, the date strongly supports a Futurist view of Revelation (ie. the events are still expected to happen). Eric attempts this dangerous dive in order to prove something different than either viewpoint typically attempts to support. He seeks to show that a Preterist and Futurist view can both be compatible in the Christian walk and both have always been important in the Revelation of God's Kingdom.
This is the twenty-fifth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he explores the “seemingly unimportant” territory of dating the books of the New Testament. Most people would say, “It doesn't really matter to me when it was written.” And in a certain sense, it's true. Someone can believe the words of Scripture and believe that the work of Christ on their behalf is sufficient to save them whether the words were written in 40 AD, 400 AD, or 2024 AD. But, the integrity of the Bible and the trustworthiness of its words are paramount to our confidence-in and obedience-to its words (especially its hard words and its words that appear culturally insensitive and out-dated). The Devil is waging a campaign against the Scripture. He desires to marginalize its power, its supernatural nature, and its trustworthiness. Meanwhile, to counteract this devilish plot, determining a time stamp for when these New Testament books were written CAN ACTUALLY matter.
