Scott talks about how retook the power in his hands to create the life he wanted.*********My life has taken so many dramatic turns. After winning the national collegiate skydiving championships, I became cocky. Not just in skydiving but in life. Then I had a terrible accident, they said I wouldn't walk normally ever, & I couldn't go back to school. I went anyway, go on with my life, and learned super important lessons about humility and what I can do. The crash landing became one of the most important things. Before that, I was a terrible student in school, I didn't fit in. I knew I wasn't ready for college so I dropped out to join the Army at 17. Best thing I ever did for myself.I was in a failing marriage, the economy was down, and I couldn't get engineering work. I moved to Florida from Michigan by myself to take over an old skydiving center. My whole life changed, it opened up multiple entrepreneurial opportunities and set the path…Bigger changes or forks in the road later but these are all pretty dramatic with good lessons.Scott Harris is a skydiver, veteran, businessman, and motivational speaker. It's one thing to say that we trust God to take care of us. It's another to actually live like we believe it! But we can look back and see evidence that He's provided for our every need time after time, and we can trust that He'll catch us every time we take a leap of faith.
To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/640/29 We can all look back on our lives and see that God has provided all we have needed time and time again, yet we still find it difficult to trust Him. Rather than sitting around being comfortable our whole lives, we need to hear whatever God is calling us to do and step out and do it. Just as a loving father will catch their child every time when that child jumps from a high branch, we can trust that God will catch us every time we take a leap of faith.

What did you do with your "extra" Leap Day last week? Did you, as a woman, propose marriage to a man????
One of Arizona's best vineyards has broken into the whiskey game with a 2-year old straight bourbon. I got to sit down with Flying Leap's very own Mark Beres to discuss his love of the brown liquid, why a winery decided to dive into spirits, and the challenges in starting a distillery.
In this episode of the Distillery Nation podcast we had the pleasure of talking to Mark Beres of Flying Leap Vineyard and Distillery. Not only was this one of the longest podcasts I have done, but Mark brought the heat. Take notes as Mark did not hold back, providing feedback on funding a business (BTW they are a winery as well). We talked about naming your company and suggestions around that, his biggest mistake when he was starting the distillery, water recirculation and usage for the winery and distillery, favorite books, managing growth AND SO MUCH MORE. I hope you enjoy this and find value. If you do please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts, we read every single one and they help the podcast grow. I spent the first 30 years of my life trying to be perfect. What a waste! I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life taking imperfect action. It has been a little scary – and 100% liberating. If I didn’t give up perfection, I would not own the businesses I own today. So much of my life would be different. So much of my life with be less than it is today. Why? Because perfect kinda sucks. Perfect is an illusion. True perfection is actually quite imperfect. In this episode you’ll how to overcome perfectionism and why imperfect action is critical for making big progress in any area your life. We’ll also talk about Analysis Paralysis and why you must stop letting Good be the enemy of Perfect. This is especially for all my Type A Shameless Moms. Enjoy!
