Op 5 mei 2025 viert Goedereede 80 jaar vrijheid met eenbijzondere bevrijdingsestafette. Het Bevrijdingsvuur, ontstoken in Wageningen, wordt via een estafetteloop van 150 kilometer naar Goedereede gebracht. Lokale lopers, vrijwilligers en basisschoolkinderen dragen het vuur, als symbool van vrijheid en verbondenheid.Desirée van Halewijn, initiatiefneemster, werd geïnspireerddoor de oorlogservaringen van haar vader. Samen met de Oranjevereniging en sportclubs werd het plan gerealiseerd, met hulp van trainer Johan Langbroek. De route doet meerdere dorpen aan en zamelt geld in voor War Child.Het evenement eindigt feestelijk op de Markt van Goedereede met muziek, toespraken en de aankomst van het vuur als emotioneel hoogtepunt. El futuro ministro de Educación y Cultura, José Carlos Mahía, prevé enviar próximamente al Parlamento un proyecto de ley para reinstalar la representación docente en el gobierno de los distintos niveles de la Administración Nacional de Educación Pública (ANEP). Según informó el viernes el diario El Observador, Mahía se lo hizo saber al diputado de Identidad Soberana, Gustavo Salle, a quien el Frente Amplio buscará converncer para que apoye esa iniciativa en la cámara bajam, donde el nuevo oficialismo no tendrá mayoría automática. El Observador recordó que “Mahía planteó hace semanas que reinstalar la participación docente a través de los consejos en la ANEP ‘es una forma muy efectiva de involucrarlos en la gestión'.” Y agregó: “No me imagino ningún cambio de fondo en la educación si no lográs un involucramiento de los actores educativos; si no se lograra, que yo aspiro a que se forme, habrá que buscar otras formas de pensar la participación“. Recordemos que una de las disposiciopnes de la Ley de Urgente Consideración (LUC) aprobada en julio de 2020 y ratificada en el referéndum de marzo de 2022, modificó la forma en que se gobiernan las de la educación: Educación Inicial y Primaria, Educación Secundaria, Educación Técnico Profesional y Formación en Educación. Hasta ese momento cada una de esas ramas era dirigida por un “consejo” integrado por tres personas, una de las cuales era elegida por los docentes. La LUC, sin embargo, creó “Direcciones”, que son lideradas por una sola persona, en su carácter de Director o Directora, elegida por el Poder Ejecutivo. Los docentes quedaron integrados solamente en el Consejo Directivo Central (Codicen) de la ANEP, donde hay dos representantes, entre cinco consejeros.
