It's been half a year since the events of the first episode and shit is already getting wild. King Viserys names his new queen — and no one is happy about it...except for PLOtto. King Viserys shocks his small council when he decides to marry Alicent Hightower, pissing off Corlys, who offered up his own daughter instead. Daemon has seized Dragonstone, taken an egg, and is marrying his mistress. The Crabfeeder is giving them hell and destroying their ships and trade routes...all of this will lead to an alliance of Daemon and Corlys. If you want to keep the fun going with us throughout the week, come join our Facebook group. The Watchers of the Wall of Castle Black are back to discuss, rant, and rave about the Medieval Maury show that is House of Dragons. The Targaryens are ghet-to and we love them for it. Six years later, House Velaryon faces a succession crisis when Lord Corlys Velaryon is seriously wounded in the Stepstones. Vaemond Velaryon petitions King's Landing to remove Lucerys as Corlys' heir, proclaiming him illegitimate. Rhaenyra and Daemon return to the capital with all their children to defend Lucerys' claim. They discover that King Viserys is now bedridden and all royal affairs are managed by Queen Alicent and Ser Otto in his stead. Alicent covers up her married son Aegon raping a handmaiden. When Vaemond arrives in the Red Keep, Rhaenyra proposes an arrangement to gain Princess Rhaenys' support. She also requests that her father defend her succession, quoting Aegon the Conqueror's dream. The next day, Otto Hightower hears Vaemond Velaryon's petition, who claims that Driftmark should pass to him. As Rhaenyra begins speaking, King Viserys arrives and declares Lucerys the heir to Driftmark. Enraged, Vaemond calls Rhaenyra's children bastards and is immediately decapitated by Daemon. That night, the Targaryens, Velaryons, and Hightowers attend a feast to mend their relations, but the princes start a fight. Viserys, near death, privately reveals parts of Aegon the Conqueror's dream to Alicent whom he confuses with Rhaenyra, with Alicent believing he is talking about her son, Aegon.Support this show at patreon.com/TVTalkCheck this out: FindEversail.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

The Daughters of the Dragon, Chika, Tatiana, and Porshea have ALOT to say about this drama, love octagon, fight, and blood-filled episode of House of Dragons! What IS with Game of Thrones and weddings anyway?? Find out what we thought about Ser Criston's horrific deed, Rhaenyra clearly loving all the chaos and if King Viserys is going to glory sooner rather than later!
Check out BlackFlagPod.comReturning to Runestone, Daemon murders his estranged wife, Rhea. King Viserys and Rhaenyra sail to the Driftmark to arrange a marriage between the princess and Ser Laenor, and which satisfies Lord Corlys Velaryon regarding the succession. Rhaenyra privately tells Laenor that she understands his sexual orientation and proposes that they amicably perform their royal duties while having lovers. Ser Otto, about to depart King's Landing, tells Queen Alicent that her son must be the heir, otherwise her children's lives will always be threatened if Rhaenyra ascends the throne. Also, Alicent unintentionally learns the truth about Rhaenyra and Ser Criston, but keeps it confidential. At a feast celebrating the forthcoming nuptials, Alicent enters the hall wearing a green gown, the color symbolizing House Hightower's call to war. Ser Gerold Royce confronts Daemon, claiming he murdered his cousin Rhea, which Daemon denies, stating he expects to inherit his late wife's wealth. Laenor's lover, Ser Joffrey Lonmouth, realizing that Ser Criston is Rhaenyra's lover, smugly suggests they guard each other's secrets. Criston, enraged by this, fatally beats Joffrey. Laenor is openly devastated by Joffrey's death. To avert additional scandal, Rhaenyra and Laenor are quickly and privately wed, just as Viserys succumbs to his illness. Later, as Ser Criston is about to kill himself over his misdeed, Queen Alicent appears, halting his suicide.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Ser Criston Cole is finding it hard to live with the secret of his night of passion with the Princess, and Alicent Hightower is finding new ways to navigate the politics of the royal court without her father around to help. And through it all, King Viserys is just trying to live long enough to have a decent legacy. Jessica Clemons and Brandon Barrick react to this episode and breakdown the series of events that led to Ser Criston Cole finally snapping.
At the midway point of season 1, The House Of The Dragon seems to be losing some of its steam with a number of subplots and events that don't seem to be properly set up and actually confusing to the audience if they haven't read the books. In this episode, King Viserys goes to Seastone to make nice with House Velaryon and to wed Rhaenyra to Laenor Velaryon. Ser Criston Cole gets SIMPy for Rhaenyra, Daemon ends his marriage and starts eyeing Laena Velaryon, Lyonel Strong is the new Hand of the King and his son Larys starts acting like Littlefinger, and Alicent embraces her role as Queen and starts making some shrewd moves now that her father has left the Red Keep. Robbie Fox, KFC, Clem, and Feitelberg break down the latest episode of House of the Dragon. -Daemon returns from killing the Crabfeeder and winning the war of the Narrow Sea -Daemon sneaks Rhaenyra out of the Red Keep where they have a steamy moment in a brothel -Rhaenyra and Criston Cole get it on -King Viserys confronts Daemon and then Otto Hightower
Rhaenyra travels to Storm's End, where, with Lord Boremund Baratheon's assistance, she meets and rejects countless suitors. She returns to King's Landing just as Prince Daemon arrives from the Stepstones on his dragon, Caraxes. Daemon says he was named, "King of the Narrow Sea", but swears allegiance to King Viserys and hands over the crown. As the reunited brothers celebrate with a feast, Queen Alicent confides her loneliness to Rhaenyra, who misses their friendship. Late at night, Rhaenyra, disguised as a boy, sneaks out with Daemon to explore King's Landing; they drink, attend a play, and visit a brothel. Daemon seduces a willing Rhaenyra, but, unable to perform sexually with her, he abruptly leaves. Rhaenyra, fully aroused, instead seduces Ser Criston Cole upon returning to the Red Keep. Ser Otto's spy informs him about Daemon and Rhaenyra's exploits. Alicent overhears Ser Otto telling the king, and she privately questions Rhaenyra, who falsely claims she is still a virgin. The king angrily confronts Daemon, who never denies the accusation and proposes that he wed Rhaenyra. Knowing Daemon only wants the marriage to gain the crown, the king exiles his brother back to the Vale. To avoid scandal, Viserys orders Rhaenyra to marry Ser Laenor Velaryon. The king dismisses Ser Otto as his Hand, realizing Otto has always manipulated him for his own personal gain. The king sends Grand Maester Mellos to give Rhaenyra abortifacient tea in case she is pregnant.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

If there's one thing King Viserys is gonna do every time, it's make the wrong damn decision. Not that marrying a 12-year-old would be BETTER... What he needs to do is worry about those festering wounds and just let his daughter learn to rule from someone who actually knows how to do it. But, alas... he's in love or whatever. Thankfully, Corlys and Daemon are both over it and it looks like we'll get some action dragon next week. And can we please, please, please keep precious Laena away from King's Landing until she's at least 30?
