Tread Perilously's month of prestige fantasy makes haste for Westeros and the House of the Dragon episode called "The Princess and the Queen." After giving birth to her third child, Princess Rhaenyra faces rumors and accusations about its father. The source of those whispers? Queen Alicent. The situation leads to tension between Rhaenyera and her husband, Prince Laenor, and a situation in the yard while their boys train with Alicent's sons. Meanwhile in Pentos, Daemon and Laena consider an intriguing opportunity from the local aristocrats -- but will Laena's own pregnancy put the kibosh on whatever Daemon truly wants? Also, why is Larys Strong so interested in aiding Alicent? Erik and Justin immediately resume their Ice and Fire nerdery, starting with a look into Game of Thrones's endgame and the other spinoff. Justin champions King Viserys's long, lingering death. Erik once again offers his support to fanfic writers. He also briefly forgets the name of his "favorite" Ice and Fire character. Justin tries to piece together the political situation in King's Landing based on a single episode of House of the Dragon. The architectural design of Harrenhal comes into question. Erik dives into the dynamic between Alicent and Larys Strong and some Star Wars talk happens.

HBOners Season Five - House of the Dragon Time jump! It's Episode 6: "The Princess and the Queen", and with it we've moved ten years into the future. It seems like everyone's had two or three kids. King Viserys (looking more sickly by the second) and Alicent have two sons and a daughter that look eerily like Malfoys. Rhaenyra has just popped out a third son - one who, like the previous two, shares a striking resemblance to one Harwin Strong. But don't forget Daemon and Laena's two children, with a third on the way. Yet with each newly birthed child, questions arise concerning who will take The Iron Throne once Viserys finally croaks. Will Rhaenyra or her bastard sons rule, or will Queen Alicent see to it that her Timothée Chalamet-like firstborn is made king? And don't rule out Mad Daemon - King of the Narrow Sea. It's anyone's guess what that old scalawag is plotting. Cousins. Murder. Dragontonguing. Arson. Afterbirths. Join The HBOners as they conjecture, lecture, hypothesize, criticize, analyze, and rant about this week's episode. Starring Paddy Considine (HBO's The Third Day and The Outsider), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, Steve Toussaint (Doctor Who), Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel and Rhys Ifans. In this episode Ender is flying solo and bring you his breakdown and analysis of episode 6 of House of the Dragon The Princess and the Queen. Episode Summary: Ten years later, the Triarchy has reclaimed the Stepstones. Rhaenyra gives birth to her third child whom Ser Laenor names Joffrey. Queen Alicent notes the infant's hair, like his brothers Jacaerys and Lucerys, is brown rather than Targaryen silver. She presses King Viserys to acknowledge them as bastards with no claim to the throne, though he rebuffs this. Ser Criston, now loyal to Alicent, trains the princes in swordsmanship. Alicent scolds Aegon for pranking his younger brother Aemond, then says he must prepare himself to fight Rhaenyra for the throne. Prince Daemon and Lady Laena visit Essos with their daughters Baela and Rhaena, where the Prince of Pentos offers them a lordship in exchange for an alliance against the Triarchy. When pregnant Laena is unable to give birth, she commands her dragon Vhagar to burn her to death. To make peace, Rhaenyra proposes a marriage between her son Jacaerys and Princess Helaena, Alicent's daughter. Ser Lyonel Strong offers his resignation as Hand of the King over rumors that his son, Ser Harwin, fathered Rhaenyra's children. King Viserys refuses, but allows him to briefly travel to Harrenhal with Harwin, who will remain there. Ser Harwin's emotional farewell to Rhaenyra and her children implies he is their father. Alicent tells Larys Strong she wishes her father was still the king's Hand. At Harrenhal, Ser Lyonel and Harwin are killed in a fire orchestrated by Larys.
