Four years since their breakup, two former lovers reunite at the house we only just escaped at the end of episode four. But in the words of Jack from Lost, “We have to go baaaack!” Ingmar Bergman's classic 1973 film continues to deliver gut punch after gut punch in this updated HBO version, with Oscar Isaac (Star Wars) and Jessica Chastain (Lady in the Water) dealing out the majority of these emotional blows. Like Groundhog's Day, Poe and Casper seem cursed to replay the same emotional beats over and over again until they can figure out a way to change. But for these two characters, it seems there can be no lightbulb moments, no internal transformations, no happy endings. So are these onetime spouses finally ready to call it quits, or will they continue to torture each other from now til Kingdom Come? Only God knows. But Chasey and Stevin are still here to stumble their way through these topics and more on this week's episode of The HBOners! HBOners Season Three - Scenes from a Marriage The penultimate episode of Scenes from a Marriage is upon us, whether we want it or not. The boxes are packed. The furniture is labeled. The divorce papers are ready to be signed. Ingmar Bergman's classic 1973 film continues to pack dramatic punch after dramatic punch in this updated HBO version, thanks to hard-hitting performances from Oscar Isaac (Star Wars) and Jessica Chastain (Lady in the Water). Tensions are high as our protagonists take one last look at the house they once called home, but not before getting in one last bone on the couch, followed by a big fight that most certainly will not be their last. Mirage tries to convince Poe Dameron that they should have one try at making their marriage work, but he'll hear none of it, telling her again and again that he's moved on. But has he really?
