Frank and Jonathan catch up after a busy con season and dig into the biggest geek stories they've missed. We react to the Mandalorian & Grogu trailer and its old-school adventure vibe, talk through why a Game of Thrones one-two punch in 2026 could work (and where House of the Dragon still needs to land), and break down the first real look at the Wolverine game from Insomniac. We also map out what the Peaky Blinders movie and sequel series might cover, debate the point of The Simpsons Movie 2, and line up a sharp October watchlist. Plus: Jordan Peele's Him hits digital with bonus content, and we're giving away copies today. Timestamps & Topics 00:00–02:24 • Catch-up and con season recap (Crocker Con, LA Comic Con, highlight video) 02:24–11:08 • Mandalorian & Grogu poster + trailer reactions, practical effects, scale, IMAX plans 11:08–19:12 • Game of Thrones 2026: House of the Dragon S3 expectations, big battles, “movie-episode” idea; A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms tone and Dorne 19:12–23:21 • The Simpsons Movie 2: why now, scope, and what would make it worth theaters 23:21–29:19 • Wolverine (Insomniac) gameplay: combat feel, Omega Red stakes, Mystique story tricks, scent-tracking 29:19–39:51 • Peaky Blinders: WWII film setup, Tommy vs. fascism, the 1953 sequel series and what shifts after the war 39:51–40:23 • What we're rewatching: Invincible 40:23–40:51 • Ad: Jordan Peele's Him now on digital + bonus content 40:49–40:51 • Giveaway: Free copies of Him dropping on our socials today 40:51–48:14 • October Watchlist: Solar Opposites, Hazbin Hotel, Star Wars: Visions, It: Welcome to Derry, The Witcher's final season 48:14–52:18 • Horror picks, Tron rewatch plans, final recs (Reading Rainbow with Mychol the Librarian) Key Takeaways Mandalorian & Grogu looks like classic adventure cinema with modern polish, and the scale finally feels “Star Wars movie” again. House of the Dragon S3 needs payoff right away; A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms works best if it stays grounded and character-driven. Wolverine aims for weighty, tactile combat; villains like Omega Red can raise stakes by limiting healing. Peaky Blinders is set up for a strong WWII film handoff to a 1953 sequel series that explores post-war power shifts. The Simpsons Movie 2 needs a big, timely hook to justify the leap back to theaters. October TV is stacked, and It: Welcome to Derry has room to dig into the town-wide effects of Pennywise. Memorable Quotes “There's something about a Star Wars movie where the budget is just whatever they wanted to do.” “Make the season climb, then drop a theater-only battle movie the very next weekend.” “Star Wars tech feels bolted together in the best way. You can almost hear the click of every panel.” “He operates perfectly in the gray area where politics can't see.” “The best horror makes you think about it long after the scare.” Call to Action If you enjoyed this episode, follow and subscribe, rate us 5 stars, and share the show with a friend. Support The Channel By Getting Some REEL REJECTS Apparel! https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ With Season 3 of House of the Dragon on the Horizon, Tara & Andrew are back to continue their Game of Thrones Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review! Tara Erickson & Andrew Gordon return to Westeros as they react to and review Game of Thrones Season 1, Episodes 3 (“Lord Snow”) & 4 (“Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things”). Based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels, HBO's hit fantasy drama takes viewers deep into the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, where power, betrayal, and family honor shape the game of thrones itself. In Episode 3, “Lord Snow,” Ned Stark (Sean Bean – The Lord of the Rings, Troy) arrives in King's Landing to serve as Hand of the King, meeting the cunning Small Council including Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish (Aidan Gillen – The Wire), Lord Varys (Conleth Hill – Suits), and Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony). Jon Snow (Kit Harington – Pompeii, Eternals) struggles to find his place at the Wall, but with Tyrion Lannister's (Peter Dinklage – X-Men: Days of Future Past, Cyrano) guidance, begins to show compassion toward fellow recruits like Samwell Tarly (John Bradley). Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke – Terminator Genisys, Me Before You) asserts her strength in Essos as tensions rise with her brother Viserys (Harry Lloyd). Episode 4, “Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things,” expands the world further as Tyrion bonds with Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) after his fall, and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) shows his conflicted loyalty to House Stark. At the Eyrie, we learn more of the Lannisters' political machinations, while Daenerys takes her first true steps toward independence as a Khaleesi. The famous “broken things” speech between Tyrion and Bran highlights one of the show's recurring themes: outsiders finding strength in their differences. From Ned Stark's honorable path in a city of liars, to Daenerys' growing confidence and Jon Snow's evolution on the Wall, these episodes set the stage for many of the epic arcs that would define the entire series. For the Glory KC is back with the 149th episode of the show!Sporting Kansas City did what we've been asking for and hired a new President of Soccer Operations. David Lee is in charge of all things soccer over at Sporting KC, and he'll report directly to ownership. That's actually the first (serious) subject on the pod. CSO? PoSO? General Manager? Sporting Director? Technical Director? To quote the former King of the Seven Kingdoms, Robert Baratheon, "titles, titles, titles."On today's, not quite an emergency podcast, we learn about David Lee's professional past, his time with NYCFC and his track record of success. He also comes out of the City Football Group (CFG) empire, so we tell you what the heck that means and what impact that likely had on the resources he had at his disposal and how it could both be benefiting him and limiting him at other times.Sheena and I also weigh in on Lee's history of youth development and a knack for signing young talent. A lot of that is CFG related, but it also could be the direction he decides to take with Sporting KC. There is so much to talk about with Lee, you should probably just download the episode already! As a tease, here are some of the quotes from the media we'll cite around the excitement of the David Lee hire:David Gass: "This is probably better than what I would have guessed is a best-case scenario for SKC.”Tom Bogert: "David Lee joining Sporting KC from NYCFC as CSO is a big move. Impressive by SKC to court and land Lee, as it's rare for a CSO to leave for another CSO role. Lee one of league's respected sporting executives. Gets to rebuild SKC around Dejan Joveljic, Manu Garcia and more."Joe Lowery: "SKC fans should be pleased with the David Lee hire. While it's hard to know how much of NYCFC's success during Lee's time there stemmed from his roster-building vs. CFG's resources, he's got real experience in a recruiting machine."Taylor Twellman: "Smart. Clever. Great Hire from Sporting KC. David Lee is someone who can really get SKC over the hump and his experience with NYCFC in MLS will be invaluable in turning around the franchise in Kansas."Andrew Weibe: "This is truly a great get for Kansas City. Lee has repeatedly hit at every roster designation with his signings (not all HRs, of course, before you get in the mentions). Pascal Jansen has been an A+ managerial hire. NYCFC has been consistently good to excellent under his watch."In the Digital Crawl, we hit on a few more topics, including:MLS Offseason scheduleSKC International call-upsA new job for Peter Vermes?World Cup Ticket Pricesand more! Here is a rundown of topics and start times:Sporting KC hire a CSO - 2:50Digital Crawl - 59:59Upcoming GamesSporting KC @ Minnesota United, Sat.

Send us a textDavos isn't dead. The Manderlys' animosity was all for show. They know the Freys lie. But they're not ready to join Stannis yet. However, if Davos can find and return Rickon Stark, then that would seal the deal. Mackelly and Simon debate who that might be.Chapter Review:Davos Seaworth is kept waiting for his execution. The gaoler refers to him as “The Dead Man,” but he's fed and has more than decent accommodation. After several days Robett Glover comes and takes him through secret and circuitous means to a chamber within earshot of obvious festivities. They're joined by Lord Wyman Manderly. He apologizes for the disrespect that Davos was shown. But while the Lannister, Frey, and Bolton alliance held his remaining son Wylis, he was forced to play along. But the feast that can be heard is to welcome the heir home - and Lord Wyman can let the mask slip a little. A ruse was pulled, a criminal was made to look like Davos and executed - his head and hands were displayed above the walls, heavily tarred and distorted with an onion in the mouth.Davos is ready to seal the alliance between Stannis and the Manderlys. But lord Wyman's not there yet - the Bolton's are cementing their claim to the North by marrying Arya Stark, but courtesy of Theon's former squire Wex, they know where Rickon Stark is. In Part 3 of our recap and review of the final season of Game of Thrones, the guys discuss Episode 2, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. A slower paced, but very powerful, second Episode focused heavily on the characters we have grown to know and love over the prior seven seasons. With the Night King on the way to Winterfell, this is literally the calm before the storm. Jaime stands trial for his past crimes against the Starks and receives a critical endorsement, at a crucial moment, from Brienne. Now long after, in one of the most emotional moments of the series, Jaime returns the favor and knights Brienne, fulfilling a lifelong dream for her. Sansa and Daenerys try to find common ground, Arya is looking for love (well, sort of) right before the end and, in a moment with far reaching implications, Jon comes clean to Daenerys about his true heritage right as the Night King arrives at Winterfell. Episode 2 is quite clearly not the problem with Season 8 and they guys break it all down for you here on Game Gone Wrong?More than 6 years after its last Episode, Game of Thrones' Final Season remains one of the most controversial and divisive seasons in TV history. But Dave has never watched the final season…until now. In this limited run, seven-part, special series, Dave, PC Tunney, and DJ revisit the final season one Episode at a time (Dave for the first time) and answer the enduring question….was it as bad as so many claimed?About the Chairshot Radio NetworkLaunched in 2017, the Chairshot Radio Network presents you with the best in sports, entertainment, and sports entertainment. He'd hoped for a private audience with Lord Wyman Manderly, but the hall is packed with a host of people and a mischief of Freys. Davos makes his pitch for why the Manderlys should side with Stannis, but it doesn't go well. Wyllis Manderly (the heir) is a captive of the Lannisters and the family don't want to risk his life. The Freys spin an incredible yarn of their version of the Red Wedding: Robb Stark and his men turned into wolves and attacked everyone. Wendel Manderly died defending the Lord Walder Frey. Davos would use an exploding head emoji. Only Wyllis' daughter Wylla sides with Davos: they killed the Starks, they killed my uncle, how could we side with them?Rhaegar Frey argues that Robb abandoned the North, then abandoned the Riverlands. Lord Wyman agrees but not before a flash of disgust registers on his face. He orders that Davos be taken away and executed.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Davos Seaworth - Hand of the King to King Stannis Baratheon.Stannis Baratheon - King of the Seven Kingdoms.Wyman Manderly - Lord of White Harbor.Lady Leona Manderly - Wife of Wylis Manderly.Wylis Manderly - Heir to White Harbor, captive of the Lannisters.Wynafryd Manderly - Elder daughter of Wylis and Leona.Wylla Manderly - Younger daughter of Wylis and Leona.Rhaegar Frey - A Frey.Jared Frey - Another Frey.White Harbor - Only city in the North and its chief port.White Knife - Major river in the North that empties into the Bite at White Harbor. Send us a textDavos reaches White Harbor. The intel he's able to pick up does not bode very well for his King Stannis. He wonders if he should have fled with Salladhor. Mackelly and Simon give him a pep talk.Chapter Review:Davos Seaworth arrives in White Harbor aboard the Merry Midwife. He's disguised as a common sailor. He notes signs of increased defense and military buildup. This could be good news, but then he sees the Lionstar at the dock, flying Tommen's colors. Inside the city, he sees many refugees who've fled down the White Knife to avoid Ramsay Bolton's tyranny. An apple seller tells him that the young men who arrive are being drafted into Lord Manderly's army. In a seedy winesink, Davos listens for gossip. It's mostly old news but he learns that Wyman Manderly's son is held by the Lannisters. Davos knows that he should have gone south with Salladhor Saan. Even Davos would sell out his king to save his son.But he's on a mission, so he climbs up to the palace. From this vantage he sees 23 new warships hiding behind a new jetty wall. Hope stirs once more - Lord Manderly has been busy.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Davos Seaworth - Hand of the King to King Stannis Baratheon.Stannis Baratheon - King of the Seven Kingdoms.Wyman Manderly - Lord of White Harbor.White Harbor - Only city in the North and its chief port.White Knife - Major river in the North that empties into the Bite at White Harbor. In this enlightening episode of Authentically ADHD, host Sunny Sparks takes us on a whimsical journey into the science and art of rest—especially tailored for those of us with ADHD. The episode kicks off with a warm welcome and a reminder that true self-care isn't one-size-fits-all. Sunny introduces the “ADHD & Rest Tango,” explaining how the unique wiring of ADHD brains—characterized by altered dopamine dynamics, delayed sleep phase syndrome, and sensory overload—can make winding down a nightly challenge. The conversation then dives into the research behind why sleep can be so elusive, from our racing thoughts and creative bursts at midnight to environmental factors like blue light from screens. This sets the stage for exploring the “Seven Kingdoms of Rest”: physical, mental, emotional, sensory, creative, social, and spiritual. Each kingdom is described as a vital aspect of our well-being that needs its own form of rest to help balance our lives.Sunny offers a creative self-diagnostic tip by encouraging listeners to imagine their energy levels as a vibrant, multi-colored pie chart. By mapping daily activities to these seven types of rest, we learn how to identify which areas may be undernourished—transforming our self-care routine into an artful process of balance. To wrap up, the episode presents a practical 7-tip self-care segment, sharing real-life examples for each type of rest—from setting up a power nap schedule for physical rest to dedicating time for mindful sunrise moments for spiritual rest. Sunny concludes with an uplifting call-to-action to experiment with these strategies, reminding listeners that rest is not a luxury but a necessity for thriving with ADHD.Stay authentic, take time for each piece of your rest puzzle, and keep shining—even if it means burning the midnight oil sometimes! If today's episode resonated with you, share it with someone who might benefit and consider leaving a rating & review to help Authentically ADHD grow.Show notes: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGjTbREIYI/sFGNEj879Ye4x_zWl-W76Q/view?utm_content=DAGjTbREIYI&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=h8496660196Join FOCUSED: https://ihaveadhdllc.ontralink.com/t?orid=29951&opid=1Follow me on all platforms: https://linktr.ee/carmen_iraceThanks for reading!
