What B2B Marketers Can Learn From A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Put the human at the heart of the story — then leave them wanting more. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms doesn't try to tell you everything at once. It earns your investment in two characters and then trusts that investment to carry you through. Tara connects this directly to how B2B content fails: "Creating content has never been easier than it is right now with AI. But creating quality content that truly has that art of storytelling and a truly human-connected story — I think that's harder and harder to stand out and do well." Fewer things, done better, is the whole strategy. Be the biographer, not the subject. Most origin stories are boring because the subject tells them. Gustav Danielsson, FSF got the job by text message. "Do you wanna shoot a sequel to Game of Thrones?" arrived from director Owen Harris, who had made San Junipero with him, and it landed while Danielsson was at home rewatching the original series with his kids and buying them the board games. He cut short a show in Sweden to take it. The result, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, is HBO's return to Westeros at a fraction of the usual scale, and it earned him a 2026 Emmy nomination for cinematography.He and host Jared Levy work through how you make a two-hander feel as large as a war on a budget that rules out burning cities. Night scenes pushed into the half hour of real dusk, the same trick he used on San Junipero because South African nights go completely black. An Alexa Mini LF shot at 3:2 and squeezed to 2:1 on Panavision Ultra Panatars, whose 1.3x squeeze fills almost the whole sensor, with faster Panavision VA spherical primes held back for the scenes a single double-wick candle had to carry on its own. Every flashback on one de-tuned Panavision T Series lens built for Super 35 and run on a larger sensor, so the image falls apart at the edges on purpose. Firelight from a bank of up to 48 photo flood bulbs that gaffer Seamus Lynch built and named the Dalek, programmed against video of a real fire. As for the mud, it looked great, but the production team had to adjust as it quickly became hard as concrete when it dried. -Using a Ronin 4D rigged to an operator's chest for the helmet POV shots. House of the Dragon has returned and the first episode of Season 3 delivered on nearly every level imaginable. The gang returns this week to break down this epic episode. There is so much to discuss. There are battles as massive and monumental in scope as anything seen in the original series. There are moments of tragedy, shock, and heartbreak that rival anything seen in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. There are massive errors in judgment, heroic moments of valor, the hubris of youth, and everything in between. At the end of the Battle of the Gullet, nothing will ever be the same in the Game of Thrones Universe. The question had to be asked, and it was: Was this one of the Top 5 best episodes of all-time across any of the three series? Mackelly and Simon try to keep it together.Chapter Review:Kevan Lannister and the Small Council quiz Ronnet Connington over the reappearance of cousin Jon Connington and this pretender Aegon. He protests his loyalty, but is held pending further consideration. Harys Swyft is trying to make new loans to pay off the existing loans. Next the trial of the Queens. Cersei is to be championed by Ser Robert Strong. Kevan is not the only member of the council to have misgivings about the silent giant. Ser Kevan reminds the Tyrell faction that if Cersei is found guilty then Tommen isn't the king and Margaery isn't the queen, so they'd better all get on board.As the council adjourns Kevan worries about the loyalties of the members. He begins to see Cersei's worries that the Tyrells have too much power. He dines with Cersei and Tommen. The king is sweet about his kittens. Cersei is penitent and seemingly broken. He's glad but also sad.He's called to Pycelle's chambers, where he is ambushed by Varys who mortally wounds Kevan with a crossbow bolt. As Kevan dies, Varys explains that Kevan is too good. He's securing Tommen's throne and threatening to bring peace and stability to the realm. Ira Parker is a writer, executive producer and showrunner who currently serves as executive producer and showrunner of HBO's A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS, which he co-created with George R. R. Martin. Taking place nearly a century before the events of GAME OF THRONES, the series follows a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg, as great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits await these improbable friends. "A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms" is an American fantasy drama television series created by Ira Parker and George R. R. Martin. A prequel to "Game of Thrones" (2011–2019), it is the third television series in Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" franchise and is an adaptation of the Tales of Dunk and Egg series of novellas, beginning with "The Hedge Knight." It stars Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan "Dunk" the Tall, the titular hedge knight, and Dexter Sol Ansell as his squire, Aegon "Egg" Targaryen. The series premiered on January 18th, 2026, on HBO, with its first season consisting of six episodes, and received positive reviews for its performances, direction, writing, and craftsmanship, particularly for Episode 5, "In the Name of the Mother" directed by Owen Harris. ElectroCosplay joins from New York to talk about some of her favorite fantastical fandoms, plus we're talking about Cosplay too! We start things off by talking about one of the biggest fantasy video games series, Elder Scrolls.
