His work explores post-metaphysics, nonduality, metamodernism, integral metatheory, new shamanism, the future of religion, developmental philosophy, and meta-progressive politics. He is also the co-host of the mind-bending Integral Stage podcast. This episode was a live event recorded during Limicon 2024 and explored some of Layman's ideas from his two popular essays “The Metamodern Business Burea” & “Make Game A Pay for the Wall”. After our dialogue, we opened the floor for participants to ask questions and share reflections. We navigated a wide range of topics including transforming the money & meaning relationship on a personal and societal level, developing a more conscious approach to business, new economic experiments, starting liminal business crews, bridging left and right brain ways of knowing, our relationship to dopamine and so much more.

There can be a perception (especially from non-artist friends and family!) that making art is more of a fun hobby than 'real' work. And certainly many artists struggle with feeling that wanting uninterrupted time and space for our art is self-indulgent, or even selfish. Michele and Bec talk about the range of work required to generate and develop new creative ideas (it's not just in front of a canvas) and how we need mental, emotional and physical space to sustain a rich and satisfying art practice. Let's validate this important work for ourselves and each other, and claim the space we need! There are people in the world who see problems and wait for someone else to tackle them. And then there are people who see problems and immediately think “What can I do to solve this?” Sara Litvak is one of those people. Sara's identity as someone who doesn't wait around for others to take action was heavily influenced by her late grandmother, Rosa. Rosa immigrated to the US from Russia and spent her entire life advocating for her most vulnerable students. Rosa talked to Sara like an adult from the time she was very young and encouraged her to speak her mind, actively participate in her community and be unapologetic about owning who she is. Sara took this advice to heart and formed an accrediting body, the BHCOE, for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) organizations when she was 27. She's worked tirelessly over the last 7-years to help grow the BHCOE into an organization that has over 500 organizational members. Learn how Sara has turned her identity as a problem solver into a successful career as the CEO of the BHCOE, how she deals with “haters” and the 1 question she thinks everyone who works at any organization should ask in order to determine if they're in the right position or not.
